Nowhere near Premier League level yet. Has some quality but despite our desperation to see adequacy at the very least, he hasn’t shown anything that warrants the wankfest about him. Has the potential to be the next Mahrez (in terms of quality, not position) but at the minute he’s an Aldi Perez. -
Oliver Skipp Confirmed

Why are people discussing about him playing in a 2 or a 3? He literally couldnt play a 2 yard pass with any accuracy today. Yet another reason why this board and ownership has come to the end. They need protecting from themselves at the minute. Any good decisions they’ve made in the last 3 years have purely been an accident. -
Yeah they need to go. To have mismanaged the club from such a position of strength to where we are now is just unforgivable.

This. He isn’t very good at all really. Every CB we have are all so similar in quality (or lack thereof) that it really doesn’t matter which one we sell.

Takes them where? -
Soumare is dogshit but you cannot play Skipp & Winks together and given the lack of options (please dont say shit about trying Faes or Vesty at DM), it’ll be Soumare and one of Skipp or Winks in midfield. I imagine Ayew will come back in for Buonanotte and I can see Kasey coming in for Mavididi. It’ll be absolutely awful and we’ll lose again.

Unfortunately the end of the road has been reached. It’s been wonderful. They came in during a real time of turmoil and rescued us. They gave us memories that we didn’t even dare to dream of and got us ever so close to actually being something other than what we are. A yoyo club. But the magic has gone and party is over. The nightclub lights have come on and the 9/10 stunner has become the 2/10 munter. We’re not attractive enough for the oil money so god knows what we’ll end up with but this really feels like the end. Whether they’re ready to admit it or not is another story but I hope they dont wait to the stage that protests start.

He’s not particularly quick, skilful, strong or good in the air and doesn’t particularly influence a game enough to be (IMO) considered anything other than an average striker. I know penalties are still goals, but they’re not an indicator to use in the scenario we’re talking about so you really do need to take them out and when you do, again, average. He may well get better and strikers generally peak in their late 20’s but we can’t be saying lets have him hanging around in case he gets better and we might be in a different league. The only player in the 40 years i’ve been watching Leicester that was ropey to start with and then came good when we kept the faith was Vardy, and he’s an exception to practically every football rule. Cannon isn’t a Vardy, he’s more a not so good Nugent. -

We all love to bash the club at the minute but this appears to be one of the rare occasions they’re doing the right thing. He’s an unknown quantity that may or may not turn out to be more than what he looks like now. A bang average Championship striker. If we’re going to stand any chance of staying up, we need reinforcements and that costs money. We’ve been on the brink of PSR and if we do stay in the league (like we all want), we can’t afford to be subject of another breach and this kind of sale eases the worry. If we do go down, he might be useful, but then again, he might not. He’s certainly not shown anywhere near the kind of promise that would have us sounding the ‘keep at all costs’ alarm. Too many times we keep players hanging around on the chance they might come good and then they enter the final year of their deal and get nothing. To get £7m would be a good bit of business. -
No but if he says, ‘we want a right back’ and we dont get one, its not exactly the best boost for whoever currently has the gig.
-
What year are you living in?? £3m is a nominal fee GRANDAD.
-
Yes and he’s been gash whilst playing in a very poor standard of football.
-
Well he’d try but he’d probably fall over.
-
God if KDH and Pot Pot Ding Ding revitalise West Ham whilst we continue to flounder it’s gonna be so hard to take.

I know and don't disagree with the 'square pegs, round holes' objections but having said that, I would have KDH in a DM role over Soumare any day of the fookin year. Soumare is a bit better than he has been, but the bar was set very fookin low.
