  1. That’s what I was thinking. It looks as if the PL appealed against the decision, so we had no choice but to counter appeal. Attack is the best form of defence….
  2. Has this actually fallen through or are people just posting random stuff for fun?
  3. Has Gary Rowett been announced yet?
  4. Do you seriously think Dyche would come to us? He’s an established PL manager and he’s just had a massive pay off. Literally in the past couple of weeks. Why on earth would he take on a job managing a team in chaos and facing relegation to league 1, rather than sitting at home, counting his money, and waiting for the next PL sacking?
  5. Well it’s silly to say it if they don’t mean it
  6. A lot of people on here will be happy about this. For months I’ve been reading people saying they want us to get relegated, because they think it’ll make Top sell. Of course it won’t, but I wonder if those people are happy now that it’s becoming a reality.
  7. So far we’ve averaged 1.1875 points per game. If that continues, we’ll get 16 points in the remaining 14 games, giving us a total of 48 points. Blackburn have averaged 1.03 points per game , so they would end up with 47 points. Oxford 40 points. On a different subject, I find it surprising that Portsmouth aren’t being penalised for having such a crap pitch that they’re 3 matches behind. If they’d taken steps to fix it, it would have cost a fortune, and they’d have breached PSR, so they’d have been punished for that anyway!
  8. Where did you see confirmation that KP want to sell the club?
  9. Exactly. There seems to be a bizarre belief among many people here that the worse we do, the more likely KP are to sell up.
  10. Because 6 is less than 9, which is what we’d all been told would happen
  11. But why would that be a good thing? I think it’s so naive to think that if things get bad enough, the people in power suddenly wake up and see what’s happening. It’s a delusion. It just doesn’t happen.
  12. Anyone know if this is actually happening?
  13. I’m baffled by the people who keep saying they hope we’re relegated. It’s a common misconception that out of defeat comes grit and determination. It doesn’t. Defeat produces misery, apathy, and for most of the players a move elsewhere. Relegation to League 1 wouldn’t suddenly galvanise Top, make him employ a load of football geniuses to the board, scout brilliantly and spend hugely. It would simply make him disengage even more. And if he tried to sell the club, no one would want it.
  14. I agree. And the longer it’s left, the more significant the deduction becomes. There’ll come a time when the people making the decision on how many points to deduct, will be literally deciding whether we stay in the championship or go down to league 1. And it’s not actually fair on the other teams down the bottom either, because they don’t know who they’re up against. So much for “fast tracking” punishments.
  15. It seems my son is right. Hate it when that happens!!
  16. OK, stupid question, but what does safe standing consist of? I’ve just bought 2 tickets for the Stoke match in “safe standing”, and my son is adamant there’ll be seats, but also rails we can hold on to if we want to stand. I’m sure it means there won’t be seats, or the seats will be locked in an upright position. Who is right?!
  17. Would anyone be able to post a screenshot of how the tickets are looking now?
  18. It's impossible to predict until we know the points deduction.
  19. Morrisons car park. You have to pay with an app or QR code or something, but it’s only about £5 .
  20. That's not strictly true. You need internet to update your season ticket - either Wifi or 4G - but outside the stadium the 4G signal isn't good enough. When my son's ticket didn't update, he had to stand near the ticket office to get on their Wifi to do it.
  21. Well it would have been a waste of time now that Bournemouth are out!
  22. Why would we care if he was cup tied?
  23. Do you know that for sure? How much are we getting for him?
  24. I don’t agree with the boycott. I don’t think the objectives and demands are clear enough. Some say they want KP out, some say they want Rudkin out, some say they want Top to stop playing polo etc. I think protests such as boycotts, marches, demonstrations, strikes need a more clearly defined demand. I also think that KP are not as bad as some owners, and we haven’t reached the point where it’s so terrible that anyone would be better. Top is not as bad as Chansiri or Michael Ashley. I also think that in terms of impact - if that’s what you want - then choosing the day when the turn out is already going to be at an all-season low (weather, post Christmas, week night), is somewhat misguided.
