  1. I see what you mean, but I still think it’s a match where a boycott will have far less impact than other matches would have. Why would Oxford be too far ahead? What difference will a few weeks make? Or is the hope that it’ll have some impact on January transfers?
  2. Exactly. It seems like a bizarre choice of game to boycott. Statistically it’s likely to be the lowest attended match of the whole season anyway, even if we were top of the league, so a low turn out will be barely noticed by the media. A more effective boycott would have been, for example, no one buying tickets for Cov away. Boycotting West Brom at home, on a Monday night, when it’s really cold, and everyone has gone back to work/school after Christmas, is a bit like someone who’s teetotal doing dry January and expecting kudos for it!
  3. What exactly are they protesting about? Don’t get me wrong, there are a load of things wrong, but surely a protest needs a specific objective? Not just a general anger at the all-round crapness. I honestly think that a boycott on what was already likely to be the lowest turnout game of the season (weather, money, back to work/school) will just look like a load of fans who can’t be bothered. The media will barely notice it.
  4. What is the actual target of this boycott? Is it to get Top to sell the club? Or to sack Marti? Or to make the players try harder? Without a specific objective, it just looks like a load of people who don’t want to come out on a cold Monday night.
  5. Does anyone know when the tickets are being posted out?
  6. I had to log into my account before the match showed at all on the ticketing page
  7. Do we know if Rennes have the option to sell to other teams? I'm hoping the loan deal gives us exclusive rights to buy him.
  8. I agree. I don’t know why we do it. Only very skilled teams can tap the ball around a few feet away from the goal and get away with it. It’s like leaving your Porsche unlocked in Leicester town centre on a Saturday night, with your wallet and laptop on the front seat, and then being surprised when it’s all stolen.
  9. Got tickets. Stupid system. It should automatically open a new block straight away once one has sold out. Some people will have given up when seeing it apparently sold out.
  10. Does anyone know when further blocks open, if they do? Does it have to be done manually when staff start work at 9?
  11. It’s now saying sold out, but I’m not sure if that’s the default by the system, until more block open. Does anyone know if the full allowance of 1500 has already gone? It’s impossible to see how many blocks are sold out and how many just haven’t been opened yet
  12. Can anyone give an update on ticket availability, ahead of all STHs tomorrow? Thanks
  13. If anyone has access to this already, can you post an update on how it’s looking? Hoping to get tickets on Friday. thanks
  14. Anyone know what happened to Okoli?
  15. Seriously - friend and I sit in different parts of the stadium. I’m saying it was a crossbar challenge but he says they were just trying to score goals.
  16. Half time in the Blackburn game. Was it a crossbar challenge or just people trying to score a goal?
  17. 10 years ago when we won the PL, they were buried in league 1. They’ve had 10 years to build up to this. It all goes around in cycles. Also, when we won the championship we had 33 points after 12 games, so we were still better than them !!
  18. Was anyone else baffled by Marti’s post match interview last night, and how positive it was? After Wrexham (similar situation - good first half, crap second half) he was visibly furious about the drop-off in the second half, and blamed the players’ complacency. Last night I thought he’d be the same, but he just went on about how happy he was that the team dominated the first half. He seemed un fussed by the massive drop off. This worries me a bit.

    Belfast

My kids loved it at that age. Titanic Museum, open top bus tour, and this https://prisonislandbelfast.com/ We were going to go to Giants Causeway which was just over an hour away, but the weather was awful so we didn't go. We stayed at the Premier Inn near the Titanic Museum.
  20. Can anyone update again on progress? Hoping for tickets when all STH can buy tomorrow . Thanks
  21. How do we know their squads are not as good as ours? Just because our squad probably cost more, it doesn't meant they're definitely better. It just means we had more money than them so we paid more for our players. A bit like when we won the PL - no one could believe we were doing so well with a team that was "worth" a fraction of the Big 6 teams.
  22. Actually you're right - the bookies had us coming 7th I think. But the general vibe from other teams' fans (who don't follow LCFC closely) is that they expect us to go straight back up like we did last time. And opposition fans still think it's a massive result if they come away with points after playing us.
  23. The problem is that people (LCFC fans and the media in general) seem to assume that this season will be similar to our last season in the Championship, when we had the best team in the league by miles, and won it comfortably. In reality our team now is nowhere near as good as the 23/24 team. We no longer have Mads, KDH, Vardy, Ndidi etc. All the players who left have been replaced by someone less good. I honestly think that with the best manager in the world we'd still only be expecting a play-off spot if we're lucky.
  24. Can someone tell me how this is going? We’re in the all STH category. Thanks
  25. What did Fatawu do to get a yellow at 90+5?
