Welcome (back) Wilf. Heard great things about this guy.
-
Or Danny Ward?
-
Judging by the way this lad likes to fly in, he'll probably be suspended for half the season. Welcome though, wish him well.

Hopefully back to the buy low sell high model rather than shit and bust, with a few years of good football from him in-between. -

He's been around for ages and I remember him having some good games against us. We just need to stay up this season so he's exactly the sort of player we need. Experience, good attitude, wants to do well and help his team mates. Could be a key signing this come the end of the season. -
Couldn't agreement more. This feels like Piper. Potentially a decent player who didn't want to go but we had to sacrifice and it didn't actually make much difference to the playing side. Maybe that sounds harsh on KDH and he did ok for us and I enjoyed watching him, but that's what he was - ok. Not a world beater. Not player you thought could be an international and go onto great things. He'll hit his peak at Chelsea and then go on to have an average career elsewhere. Hope he proves me wrong but don't think he will.

Wrexham are a club on the up. I doubt they'd even want Ward as their ressie keeper.
-
I don't think he'd like that tbh. Anyone else remember being at the City Ground when MON was our manager and the A Block singing Martin thinks you're shit at us. And O'Neill turned around and went No! And made a dismissive gesture to shut them up. I fell in love with him a little bit more that afternoon.

Rather than have a jerk of the knee as an awful lot of people seem to have done, I've been doing a bit of reading up on our Coops and I like what I see. I don't think he'll be the distaster and inst-relegation bringer that some are making him out to be. If he can get the players on board, and history suggests he'll be able to do that fairly easily, that will be half the battle towards safety. What he will need though is 30k supporters behind him and the team screaming them on this season. Spurs, Fulham and Villa aren't going to be the easiest start to the month and I can see people screaming for his head if we come out of August without any points. But he needs a chance and we need to give him one. He seems a very decent guy and I wish him all the best.

The Yin And the Yang

Is this even a serious reply?

Just calm down everyone. Close your eyes and imagine this - Saturday 10th May 2025, The City Ground. Notts Forest v Leicester City. Both teams need to win to stay in the Premier League. Winner stays up, loser is relegated. It's 0-0 in the 88th minute, Mads boots a long ball upfield and Daka swivels and hits in on the volley first time. It flies into the top corner and we see the game out to take the win and keep our PL place. The City Ground goes insane and Forest fans rip up their own seats and throw them at the home dugout. Our players come over to the Bridgford end to soak up the adulation from our fans and Cooper is at the front, applauding. Where are all you Cooper haters now....

BBC now reporting Cooper is close to being appointed

Global News just reported Steve Cooper is 'expected' to be announed as our new manager.
-
If we're still in it come May, those last fixtures will see us good.

Group C: Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England

One word - yawn. -
That would feel like we're still in the Championship. And imagine if we lost both games before playing any 'proper' PL teams.
-
250 pages on a new manager when no-one has got a bleedin scooby who the new manager even is, you'll never sing that.
-
Wait until they announce Cooper. It'll be 2,500 pages before he starts his first day at work.

First of the anti Weller bias. Expecting this to snowball now.
