LCFC Fans Consultative Committee Meeting 06/09/23 Minutes
grobyfox1990 replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
I get what you’re saying, but it’s a business. Near enough every home game this season has been sold out. That will only continue as we carry on smashing the league. What financial sense would it make to let that pair in on matchday without memberships? Very little. Then word spreads that you can get in without a membership, then membership becomes devalued. It’s why west end theatres don’t let people in last minute for £1. ‘Yeh but that seat is empty anyway!!!’ Ok simpleton but the seat has a value and you’re not degrading it. It’s nothing to do with cool aid, this is a commercial business not a nice family friendly football club where we can all hug -
Keep it. Why would anyone want the broadcasters to make any more money, mess more with the game. Plus if you've got a spare 5 minutes you can already find quality streams to pretty much any match you want

Middlesbrough (A) - sat 11 nov - 3pm

No, but can I sneak a seat??!?! Ausden Clark is sold out. I’m going from Leicester alone as my friend lives in North Yorkshire -
Mexico City is brilliant, vibrant, cool fun city full of character. There’s so much colour here. Very easy trip to organise. People are brilliantly helpful, funny and all round good. Off to the states next, not been since 2019, got to get back into the mode of being charged a fee for absolutely everything with no human touch or empathy. Hate their culture, it’s just a shame there’s so much to do there

I don’t know what this means but thought a laughing emoji would suffice. I think a Friday at the Xmas markets will be fun, the poster will have a great time!
-
Ah, a reason to switch on the tv on a Monday night I guess….. thought the post above indirectly stating brum would be on Friday night was laughably uninformed. Guess the dude meant he’s making a weekend out of it in Birmingham
-
Are you saying you’re going to brum for the markets? Or referencing our match? We obviously can’t play Birm away on Friday 15th as we play millwall home on weds 13th

Did a stadium tour of the Estadio Azteca, it's a cathedral, such an impressive venue. They love Maradona and have a couple of murals/plaques commemorating what he got up to here in 1986 against England
-
Are you me? Eerily similar post, wow. Double like, also have no idea how leaving on 85 mins saves AN HOUR of journey time, but I took that as read.
-
I agree with this. Remember sitting on a completely closed M1 with my engine off for 9 hours in -3 degrees after Nacho's VAR goal against Everton in 2019, getting home at 5am and then up at 6.30am for work. Loving life, heart FM blasting out. Moments like that are why you put in the miles. Then again also often thinking what is the point of all this when getting home in the small hours after a drab 0-0 or limp 1-0 defeat. Horses for courses at the end of the day and for such a frivolous issue, no one is right or wrong. But if you're already doing a 9/10 hour round trip, logic dictates you wouldn't risk the potentially best part of the day to save 10% of your total journey time and miss 10% of the actual reason you've done the journey. Those with the long journeys surely have even more reason to stay until the end.
-
Barely anything I would guess, what are you going to gain? 10/15 mins? All they are doing is going home to be boring, watch Netflix and 'have a chilled one mate' anyway.

Tottenham away - Sat 17th Sept - 5.30pm K/O

Without a doubt overground from Liverpool st. Would be interested to hear how they coped yday with the nfl at spurs and Arsenal v man city at the emirates -
That’s brilliant! You’ve got a good f1 cv. Sorry should’ve put my massive disclaimer against my comment. I cannot camp, stay in a hostel, share a bathroom or somewhere with a half arsed breakfast buffet. I’ve seen cheap Spain packages staying at good hotels tho. And tbf im not that big an f1 fan to go for the racing alone, would tie it in with an interesting/new city. I’ve head similar on Monaco re price. Will look to do it through Nice in 2025. Would love to do vegas in theory, but in reality much like Miami I think I’d hate it when actually getting there and seeing/hearing the Americans
-
Nice one, so it is reasonable. I will aim for this next year. Went to Bahrain last year for pretty much the same cost all in, and proper 5* luxury hotel where the red bull engineers were staying, not European '5*'. Also just went to race day, have never bothered with practice or quali. I would never do the European races apart from Monaco, so expensive for little in return.
-
Nice, how was it overall? Did you do a package or book it all yourself? Half fancy it next year, no other reason to ever visit Qatar and saw there were some cheap deals for this year
-
How long until the ‘yeh but they earn loads of money so it’s ok’ argument comes out. These people are warriors
-
Good, if it means we keep winning. I’ll go follow spurs if l want back slapping moral high ground football and no trophies
-
-
Not sure about that, it shows we need meritocracy in the sport, which there isn’t. There are some dreadful drivers on the grid. Say what you want about football but there absolutely is meritocracy. A kid from a village in Uruguay or Togo can reach the highest levels in the world then go back down again after a few bad games. F1 is the opposite, all about bank balance

Haha it is ahead on iptv, I thought it was a steaming issue. Didn’t think the error was with the official broadcast! -
Shut the thread down we’ve solved the problem. The players earn loads of money so don’t need our support
-
Tbf, logically and practically, that's a great point.
-
Exactly!!! I know it’s a human trait to unnecessarily stress and worry, when actually about 95% of life is just chance and luck, but this is another level. Hope you are well @fuchsntf
-
Who cares!!! It’s a unique human disposition to somehow snatch disappointment and foreboding in times of happiness. I am still jubilant from the absolutely devastating nature of the second half yday, and pumped to go smash another team up on Saturday. Enjoy the ride for now, leave the anxiety for next year
