  1. Fair point.
  2. To me, world class at what you do would meet the definition. I’m ok at what I do, I’ve done it permanently in 3 different jurisdictions, but the talent at the global level is exceptional. Likewise I play racketball, always someone better. I do yoga, always someone better…you get my drift
  3. Last part is so true. I always laugh at the posts on here and other social media calling/suggesting someone is thick, and idiot etc for voting brexit, Tory, trump, not being a covid fanatic etc. Coming from someone also in the 99.99% of people who never have and never will achieve anything more than a mundane, routine, unspectacular and average life. Interesting thread though. No advice to offer as I’m not ‘mid life’ and still got so many achievable challenges to work towards including 500 Wetherspoons, 100 football grounds, 100 countries visited
  4. I’m sure I’m not alone in receiving 100s of email a day. 1 more isn’t gonna make a difference, even if it helps one person??
  5. 2-0 jersey win on Saturday, after the striker scored the second he got elbowed/punched by the opposition centre back during his celebration and needed 8 stitches to a big wound. Lucky he didn’t start a riot. The action is at 8.10 on the video, hard to see what causes the damage due to camera angles
  6. Lol as to what’s about, that did make me laugh. Yeh done the arab world at the top and all the southern countries at the bottom with a bit of gorilla spotting in the middle. Best continent by a million miles with amazing weather and pure people. I guess the cliche you refer to is the garden route which is cool but a bit ‘santorini’ with all the hordes of European tourists and phones
  7. That's great news, I have anecdotally heard about the protests on the news. This clearly shows fans can and do make the difference, to paraphrase Birch. On the topic of this thread, what a result yesterday
  8. You’d do well as a spurs fan
  9. I completely agree with you. I was trying to make an OTT statement. We are the clear and apparent best team in the league and that’s why we’ll win it by a country mile. It’s also true that we give up chances every match, and teams miss them, but that further shows why we’re the best team in the league My OTT statement was in response to the spurs-esque comments stating boro were reliant on a vardy miss to win. Obtuse and bizarre thinking
  10. When they were 2 on 1 and Ricky p cleared it. Next question
  11. We were relying on boro not scoring their from their two 2on1 breakaway situations to not lose 4-1. Teams score from those situations 99 times out of 100. Likewise the numbers of gifts we’ve given away and teams haven’t scored from because of the terrible standard in this league means we’re reliant on poor finishing to not be in the bottom half. Boro were the better team and deserved the win.
  12. They’re not relying on that at all lol. They were the better team today and also missed chances
  13. I thought daggers took up the top 10 most foolish posts on this forum but fair play to you. You surely can’t be serious? Have I just fallen hook line and sinker for you taking the p1ss? If so fair play
  14. WHAT?!?!?!)!)!)!! Are you suggesting we won’t go up. Name any number in the world and I’ll bet you up we do go up
  15. Amazingly no tv coverage of the Tifo. Instead we got to see top, fans and players looking at it. Strange
  16. Obviously we are an importer nation and need to be to maintain our standards of living. But I’ve always wondered how much money we spend via ordering online v shopping locally. It must be huge. Whilst at the same time like you say hordes of people screaming ‘stop the boats!!! They’re taking our money!!’
  17. We are young men who went independently, a few months before putin marched into Ukraine, for a few days in an off peak period. My ex-colleague went as a stop off on some saga organised tour in summer 2015 and doesn’t have a problem. The authorities must be able to distinguish. Undoubtedly what we did must look suspicious
  18. No, because it’s a home league game I can attend! Tbh even if we beat Bournemouth I’ll be able to go to the cup QF if it’s a Fri or sat. The worst outcome would be us losing at Bournemouth and soton getting through their cup match
  19. It will get played in April if either team makes it through the cup
  20. This has worked out perfectly for me, just need both teams to get knocked out of the cup now
  21. With Pakistan, the Indian visa asks if you have ever visited Pakistan, at which point I guess it is an automatic rejection. Is it as easy as putting your passport through the washing machine and starting again? My big fat Russian visa after going to Moscow to watch city play frequently arises suspicion but not much more. It caused a lot of problems in Bahrain but after some intensive answers (no one believed I went to Moscow solely to watch a football match...) I was through. I guess the USA will keep a record on file of any visits to Cuba. With Israel, I would much rather freely travel to the Middle East than go to Israel, but if they don't check anything other than your passport, great..
  22. Brilliant thank you! Won’t be too long in India, been before and done the tourist route. We are doing golden temple, kangra and requested to meet the Dalai Lama. Main part of going there is to watch England in the cricket. Of course car and driver, cheapest and safest way. Haha great minds, I tend to refresh my wardrobe when I go east. Tailored linen suit £40, new set of fitted work shirts £10 each. Makes you never spend £40 on badly-fitting, off the shelf, machine stitched polyester junk from TM Lewin again. All noted on Nepal, thanks. I think time will not allow all of that, but some tips to go off that is better than google! edit - would love to see Pakistan, but much like Israel and Cuba, forever fearful of getting that stamp on my record
  23. Before Guesty got banned, it was very funny
  24. Haha, from 15-17, 2 cans was all it took!!
  25. Bucharest for a lads weekend next weekend. Been before with another group. Cheap n easy. Dharamsala for the 5th test after the qpr home match then Nepal. Any Nepal tips @David Oldfields Gate @fuchsntf ???
