Maybe for the majority of uni's, but for the top uni's it's about creating a global network for life and getting job opportunities. £75k depreciated over 50 years of work is nothing, if it even opens a few doors for you. You don't pay £200k to do an MBA at Harvard, you pay it to build your network and be part of the club.

Does location matter for you? Not sure what role you are looking for but unless you are worried about tax implications, as long as you are uk based you can wfh? Unless this is where you tell me your desired job is 100% site based

Financial Services too, job seekers have all the power according to my old network in London. Loads of people getting external offers just to get the counter-offer from their current employer and chill for more money. Loads of jobs, no one wanting to move to the UK it seems.

Hell no, unless I was paid substantially well. The tone of the country set by our leadership is 'take everything you can' so there's not a cat's chance in hell I would go to actual war for them for less than 7 figures

Tv seem to be showing the singing section more during the last two games. Saw @KrefelderFox666 on Monday and @Stadttwice today waving a flag.

What the FA Cup means to me........
grobyfox1990 replied to sishades's topic in Leicester City Forum
Interesting view. The cup win wasn’t nearly as big to me, didn’t go to a single game due to lockdown then missed out on a ticket to the final. Sitting at home watching us lift the cup on tv will prob soon be forgotten. However with the league win living and breathing it every weekend will be memories that will never leave me -
Condescending? it's a term used in courts across the world to determine what the reasonable person would behave like. If we're sticking to the general rhetoric that the courts are oh so right and qualified people CANNOT be questioned because the murderer had mental health issues, the man on the clapham omnibus model would be a central part of that.
-
The opportunity is strikingly clear. The headline reads 'triple killer in broad daylight avoids jail.' Ergo, people will think if I commit a crime I won't got to jail. The detail behind it you talk about is redundant, very few people will go that far. Do you think the man on the clapham omnibus knows there is little difference between a jail and hospital? Of course not. Read most of the literature on here, especially around COP 28 and climate change, it is clear the majority of people do not go beyond headlines and do not understand topics. As they will in this case too.
-
But they are not going to visit a mental unit lol, that is not realistic and a moot point. Perhaps those who think financial services is all about blood-sucking money merchants should spend a day in my world and realise we work long and hard and are making a co-ordinated and daily difference to future life on this planet. But that's not going to happen so why even posit it as a question? You are confusing the opinions of the bereaved with the justice system. Their opinions matter, the virtue signallers trying to create a brand on a football forum' do not. Neither form the justice system thankfully.
-
Yes, it is. The concept of 'jail' is confinement and punishment for committing a crime. The concept of a hospital is not. Amidst the virtue signalling and clamor to prove we are so with it and totally totally get mental health on this thread, the mere fact a triple killer in broad daylight has not been given the perceived ultimate societal punishment obviously and clearly gives a distressing signal to law-abiding citizens, and an opportunistic one to nefarious citizens.
-
Apart from when a group of some 'random men-with-opinions on the internet' actually have their opinions relied upon, you know, jury... Despite the posturing on this thread, the only people who really do matter are the bereaved families. And guess what, qualified professionals make mistakes...!! Who would have thunk it!! Hence this sentence will go for review., would be amazed if not.
-
Understand your point and agree with it, but you can’t risk triggering peoples mental health in this way. It’s ignorant and luckily there’s enough kamaras around that get it. Said woman may have been belittled all her life for simply being a woman, and you don’t need someone naively rubbing it in like this
-
Been like that forever in my match-going lifetime. Unless we are playing 442 hoofball, the vast majority hate it. And when we do play hoofball, and guess what the big opposition centre backs easily deal with the miscued 50 yard passes from our own centre backs, they also moan.

On my next 'elite performance super amazing high intensity' course at work. Fair play to the 'coach' - even though it's online he must be able to tell I am paying no attention and doing my work. Outed me to answer a question in front of the group which I had not listened to, gave a fluffy corporate answer and he started mock clapping then 'wow what a value add answer cheers mate!!' in direct contrast to his earlier demeanor of 'everyone is right this is a safe space' I wanted to bring out the buzzwords of 'safe space, anxiety, no wrong answer' etc but given he's completely sown me up and figured me out, thought better of it.

Phone signal!!! I imagine the ‘unlimited minutes’ part of your phone contract is unused Lol

PS I wrote a great reply to this, came back on to re-read and laugh at my own joke, but the fun police have deleted it. Hope you read it in time!!

12/13 away at forest on the last day of the season (the pic in your signature) was a special game as well. Imagine that context now? Would be full of 17 year old wokeys on their phones.
-
Similar to the other comments, did fans really not find the game yesterday exciting. You cannot keep saying things like 'boring tippy tappy football so dull sideways backwards I love brexit GB news is the REAL news source wokey wokey' etc etc when the evidence does not stack up. We scored a goal, we had a few chances, we won every duel and 50/50, wingers beating their man. Against a promotion chasing rival who were keen to attack us. What more do you want?

Put both tickets on your phone. Scan the first ticket and push him through the turnstiles. Swipe across and scan your ticket and go through. No need for him to have a phone or even touch a phone

I would say a good few other clubs have outspent them in the period. Pep is a football genius, I would've thought that was beyond doubt now. Imagine if Jeremy Doku or Haaland had gone to Chelsea or Man U. They would've been useless and we'd all be making statements about how tough the PL is and how these foreign players cannot hack it. The manager makes the difference, reference Salah and KDB at Chelsea v now at their current clubs. Saying these charges are a stain on Pep is like saying some dude who would've got 87% on an exam, but decided to bend a few rules and instead got 95%, is thick and would've failed.
-
Very good! In which case, I wholly agree with your original comment

Absolutely no way of knowing what a point represents.
