  1. That's a good point. I think this dude had led an SME, but it is still different to working in a services company, where the only thing that matters is timesheets and billing. All the stuff the dude is saying makes sense in theory, but how the f**k are any of us gonna have the time 'to step back and reflect' if we are under constant fee income pressure. My toilet breaks and internal meetings are already taken up by messing around on this forum.
  2. Luton are in it, no way. The PL is the exact opposite of the super league, it is pure meritocracy. Some dudes who mess around in films have bought a football team in an old coal mine and could get in the PL
  3. I don't know why office people like me have to do 'leadership coaching' from 'coaches' that profess to work with elite sportsmen etc. I am not an elite athlete, I work in an office. How are you going to 'unlock elite performance' from me 'to maximise the abilities of my team and unleash their best potential' and 'enhance market presence and income.' These people steal a living. Or maybe I am becoming more and more like that miserable poster who calls everyone thick and hates everything, I cannot recall their name which is bugging me even more than this self-professed coach.
  4. Yeh this’ll be a fantastic chance to take the day off, get up there and do the otley run pre match. Similar to this day exactly 10 years ago I think when we played then early and Nugent scored the winner. Saw a lot of city fans on the circuit after. A lot of fun
  5. Great tips, such good countries . I think it’s the association, plus sheer laziness and biased/bigoted views. Italy/france offer a mindnumbingly dull holiday (agree to disagree here, sorry!) but also safety. I’ve been there, i know it, nothing can go wrong etc. People still think Eastern European countries are unsafe. I loved Albania, it’s Italy but way better. However the media will let you believe it’s full of men in their 20s wanting to rob you
  6. More expensive air travel. And a lot of people really regretting going to boring dumps like Italy and France every single summer when they could’ve gone to Bulgaria for about £29
  7. A continuing mass degradation in most measurable metrics of our quality of lives. And us doing nothing about it
  8. Sit on the beach and binge drink, f all else interesting to do there. Check if any cricket is on
  9. BlueBrett and Guesty are my favourite posters on here, by a mile.
  10. It was never going to be a calm year. With the obvious geopolitical turmoil happening, multiple wars and a UK and US election. Everybody's micro circumstances will change this year, whether materially or not, they will change. That's why I was amazed at the willingness to take out 5-year mtg's in the other thread because they seem affordable now, maybe a lot of people are more risk-on than I am which is fair enough.
  11. Haha quality, I admire the stance!
  12. Hahaha this takes being a snowflake to another level. It’s an internet forum, don’t be offended by what people say and take it to heart. It’s all fun!!! That being said being a snowflake means you’ve got a personality, and having no personality is the worst thing in the world (Wilde, O. 1917)
  13. Exactly my point. Very often in life, you just make mistakes. If you don't, you're a liar. To blame making mistakes on your mental health or somebody else is to treat this important issue as frivolous. Humans being humans then blaming being human on their anxiety is not a get out of jail free card for being a human
  14. Only taken Ausden clark about 10 times in my life but each time I've seen people crack a can open on them. Not sure why this one is leaving so late, 11.45am. Barely have time for a few pints
  15. That is another good one. Add that to my list!
  16. People being able to take a joke People taking responsibility for making human mistakes instead of blaming others or their anxiety
  17. If you’ve been to any nondescript European beach resort and had a good time, dxb will blow your mind. Clean beaches with decent people, safe, great food and drink. Activities wise, everything imaginable and more. Comparatively it’s not expensive. You have to drop about a grand to go to nothing places like santorini these days
  18. Loved Albania. Tirana is easily doable in a day via the free walking tour. We found a driver for a day trip to the durres (beach resort) and lake orhid in Macedonia. Very cheap
  19. Why the sad face Guesty?? This is what I’m doing!!! Well actually last train Friday night London - Leicester after a few ales, then Ausden Clark
  20. Go to Leicester early and get the Ausden clark.
  21. Falmouth at home for Jersey bulls, Falmouth are a league below and will have a lot of travelling to get over. Very winnable tie.
  22. Jersey bulls 3 rounds away from Wembley in the fa vase. Won on pens yday
  23. As someone who has an allergy according to my wife (I will NEVER do an allergy test as I’m too much of a man to admit having an allergy) which results in occasional coughing fits, I have got very adept at undercover coughing since 2020 when the covid fanatics took over the world
  24. 'I can’t go' 'Therefore I get tickets other ways, and have never failed.' .... Nope, you are not allowed to offer thoughts, ideas or ask others to get tickets for you. As per your advice, simply 'don't go then' when tickets don't reach your level. I agree with you with the pricing, but reactions like this clearly don't help your cause if you are the one needing favours on here.
