  1. We will have our kegs pulled down in far more ways than set pieces from August onward if the current pattern of play persists. We give up a decent number of chances from open play and are very casual at the back with the ball. It does not get highlighted because the standard in this league is shocking. We also create huge numbers of chances and do not score enough of them, again not highlighted because we win every week and it does not matter. I am not Pat Nevin so have not got an armoury of stats to back that up before anyone chimes in. Our xG might well be lower than our actual number of goals. If so, fair enough. You are concentrating on the issue most blatant on front of your eyes, when there appears to me to be far more pressing issues to resolve.
  2. I smoke cigarettes far more when at the pub with my friend who smokes, as a total percentage of cigarettes I smoke. Thus going to the pub with my friend who smokes is a problem? Of course it isn't, I see him once or twice a year and maybe have a few puffs. You're taking the highest % figure of a record low number. We have the lowest goals conceded in the league and Vesty is our first choice CB! Lies damned lies and statistics, what you're saying is clearly spin.
  3. Yeh fine, football is about scoring goals, and they did not enough score goals. I don't think they were 'horrible' defensively at all, that is a really biased comment. Their keeper was but Flemming looked decent. Comfortably better than us, until they reached the box.
  4. They were comfortably better than us and created loads of good chances, do they not know how to square the ball in the box? Would have had a number of tap ins if so. Decent finishing and also got their keeper, shark itch, to thank. But a second string team who barely seemed bothered into the next round, cannot ask for much more.
  5. Have you bothered to watch any of this season. Forest in the cup was nearly two years ago and a completely different city team/attitude.
  6. Half an eye on Sunderland v Newcastle alongside the city match. The teams come out and the camera pans across the Newcastle end, not one phone out. If that was us our end it would be rammed full of drippy teenagers filming the scenes and p1ssing themselves. Is it our support in particular that attracts kids with loads of allergies or an all football thing
  7. Again wouldn’t think too much about it. Once Barton comes out with his coke-ridden madness you’ll have loads of middle aged middle England white men desperately trying to prove they’re not like him, so will call him and his like bigots, Neanderthals, thick, fascists etc etc. Best ignored
  8. Wouldn’t think about it too much, joey Barton has presumably huge financial troubles given his past life and his advisors have given him a few arrows to sling, of which one may hit the target. This one has hit the target. It will ensure he gets appearance slots on many wild right wing media outlets and presumably a book too.
  9. It’s the same for our away ticket purchases, and many other clubs. As and when the open blocks sell out, they will open more blocks for sale. If they don’t sell out, they’ll give them back to us.
  10. Millwall 2017 was so much fun. Remember when they invaded the pitch at the end, standing over the barriers in the upper tier gesturing wildly at them as a coin flies mm's past my face at 100mph. They threw all sorts at us that day, saw a bloke so angry, he took his glasses off, smash them up then throw the shards of glass at us. It was a good end as well, seemed every city fan was drunk. Proper fans, no teenage drip tray boys in trackies
  11. F bar was open post match v Rotherham
  12. That’s exactly my point. You could be happy with the rate now but that’s the risk. Whats comfortable now absolutely may not be in 5 years time with the volatility expected in all parts of consumer life. Very naive imo to think you’ll know what’s gonna be affordable to you in 2029, if you’re not shining AIs shoes by then. 2 years offer upside aswell as downside, especially if micro circumstances change, which they probably will.
  13. Will be main event. Chelsea game will be called off as they will beat Middlesbrough and be in the cup final that weekend
  14. Sorry and no offence as I am sure you're a stand up guy but there's not a cats chance in hell I'm giving a Cov away ticket to an unknown person even for £1000, way too risky
  15. Well done, the ADR is a brilliant and easy service. If more of us stood up against these shysters, things may change. But in reality, it's the weak and lazy who don't know their rights/stand up for themselves who subsidise the insanely cheap travel prices for the rest of us. In conclusion, don't tell too many people about your win.....
  16. Can get you one via STH guest sale if you want, believe we've helped each other in the past with home tickets
  17. There's a few back on sale. Run
  18. I agree and love iptv. Just had the darts on. But if the poster has managed to find streams easily this year when there’s only one broadcast provider, and they only need streams for city matches, iptv is prob an unnecessary step for them
  19. If you’ve managed to find streams without iptv this year you’ll be even easier next year in the prem. Wouldn’t worry about iptv unless you want to watch other sports, Netflix, films
  20. Resi 2 year fixes are nearly 6%?!? Fair enough, had no idea
  21. Sorry, you have not missed something, I have!!! Thought you’d quoted the post about a 40th idea Your list is brilliant btw. I did something similar in sept 2021, from initially thinking we were going to Ibiza to my wife saying it’d be easier to do a 3 nights in Northumberland. Good trip but yeh I’m still annoyed about that..
  22. Risky doing anything 5 years long in this environment imo. What’s the split between 5 and 2 years? Worth taking out a 2 year and using the difference in payments to overpay and therefore roll into a lower LTV product in two years time?
  23. From initially thinking Maldives to doing Northumberland in feb would be a helluva surprise for his wife. Assume he won’t be asking us for 41st bday ideas.
  24. Mexico City is fantastic, highly recommend. If not, Costa Rica
