HERE WE ALMOST GO!
-
I personally think we should learn from our past mistakes with regards to selling players at the right price but obviously torn as we all would be with KDH being one of our own. I’d accept £35m but we’d need to act fast to get a replacement in and there is seemingly no links which would suggest we’re likely to keep him till the summer and maybe sell him if needed.

He just bossed the game when he came on, no one could touch him. A pleasure to watch

Who do you want for next season in the PL
lcfc sheff replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
I believe we’ll go for sensible signings - but then I see Brentford signing Antonio Nusa and I end up thinking of ridiculous players I’d want 🤣🤣 how are they pulling that off -
Unless he’s going incredibly cheap come summer id not even attempt to buy him. He just doesn’t have it. As others have mentioned before me Nelson looks far more suitable. Justin is certainly the main man now

Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

I seemed to only catch the game from when Birmingham had us pinned down in the first half, for anyone who watched it did Brandon Cover look more than comfortable in the inverted fullback role in terms of passing and starting attacks? I only got to see his defensive work which was brilliant and actually make me think he’d suit RCB most. -
He’s an absolutely excellent no.2 I could not expect anymore for a team at our level. Maresca is definitely improving him bit by bit and I’m more than confident when he plays
-
Seems a sensible signing. Isn’t going to be on a huge contract relative to us getting into the prem, and with Ndidi and Praet leaving at the end of the season it more than balances out. I like the look of his passing range which is something we don’t have in midfield, with my only concern being the physicality side.

Ben Nelson signs new contract until 2027

Could end up saving us a fortune -
If we got £30-£40m we’re stupid not to sell. Balance things out and allows us a war chest to secure promotion and perhaps add some players of potential or current prem quality
-
Probably time to cash in

Random / Semi Unheard of Players you’ve spotted that we should look at

Reminds me of Grealish when he was at Notts County. Looks so coachable as well sadly don’t think there will be any signings this winter bar Sensi -

Shame about miles Leaburn, had hamstring surgery in December and will be out for another 4 months. Would love us to have a few more promising English players -
A vegan diet just what our players need 😳

What an overreaction to a striker who was playing up front on his Tod whilst we had 10 men. He is definitely good give your head a wobble -
Zach booth starting
-
Rumours are he’ll be loaned out. Not sure if to us or not
-
You do realise this kind of stuff can cause people to fight / riot?

We need to have the flexibility to play in a few variations of our system. Watch how Bayer Leverkusen play and you’d probably agree with me that Doughty would be perfect for the Grimaldo role and Ricardo for the Frimpong role. -
could be reading this wrong but he's in the 95th percentile for essentially long switches of play? something we only get from Vestergaard currently; could be an angle Maresca sees we can improve on.

Emile Heskey Facing Bankruptcy......
lcfc sheff replied to ElusiveEd's topic in Leicester City Forum
I was watching Louis Theroux talking to Anthony Joshua on BBC yesterday. He spoke about how the likes of Mike Tyson etc have had so much money and then gone bankrupt. Sportsmen need better support around them and to make wiser decisions financially, problem is they are taught exclusively about their sport and nothing around it bar media training. Hopefully clubs going forward can advice these players more going forward. Heskey admittedly will be fine, should have a footballers pension + media duties that’ll keep him going -
When meeting him he actually took time out of his day to have a decent chat with me and my mate. I know of people who’ve worked on his flat when he was at Notts county and they spoke about how kind he was to them. Very sad news
-
Sadly for him there is no way in which he fits into our team. Not one outstanding single physical attribute which in modern football won’t carry you far.
-
Thank you. He has an impact but not much of an improvement if at all on our current wingers. Like that you’ve added the part about penalties as well as it’s often overlooked. Admittedly if he’s winning the penalties I suppose it makes a difference. overall though an unnecessary potential addition which is probably more than likely why it isn’t a real link.

Although I might get punched and kicked at but certainly verbally abused for saying this. I think we might see him play as a false 9 in the odd game or two. Sort of would play to his strengths and hopefully means he isn’t dribbling forward too much as his final touch when taking on a player is simply awful; and instead is in the box on the end of crosses.
