Oooooo ya! Talk dirty to me 🥵
-
Bit of a nothing article, no one seems to have a clue what we are doing, feeds into the narrative that we are just stood still, doing nothing and not really thinking about it until June. The comments section is interesting, other than the Forest weirdos who don't care about us so much they had to flood it with nonsense.... The general feeling seems to be that of, be careful what you wish for and this is just where we belong. Got a long way to go I think until people really figure it out.
-
At least they got in a "we are where we are" at the end. Have you even been relegated if you don't have some official body state that?

Wilfred Ndidi has a £9m release clause (no current rumour)
Iwebema replied to FrankieADZ's topic in Transfer Talk
We had some great times with Wilf early on, proper destroyer in his prime, those days are long behind him, too good for the championship not good enough for the premier league, £9m given the football landscape feels about right. Unfortunately for me he's a player whose legs went from being able to play at the top level about 3/4 years ago and rather than recognise that and move on, we did our normal thing and took the easy option of just extending him. I don't think hes one of the main culprits of anger, but I won't be sad to see him go. -

Many of the stages of grief all played out there just in the pod alone! All of which was perfectly acceptable, I think most of us assumed he was going to MLS and some big money that would make sense for both parties, but now the Wrexham/Sheffield Wednesday rumours have started it's bought another angle to it, if he was to go there then its not about budget altering money, and then you think he should be staying. The only acceptable reason for him to leave is about not having a 38/39 year old on 80-100k a week. But if he would play on 30k a week then I think the decision becomes more questionable. Overall it's just sad it's come to this and I think it's absolutely acceptable for us all to go through a range of emotions and thoughts on this over the coming months. On to the club stuff, I agree on the club are just standing still, I know we aren't notoriously quick but I think we are now just in a state of doing nothing. No decisions are being made, no plan is being formed, we are essentially just pretending nothings happened and we will have a quick 30 minute meeting in June to figure it all out and that's it done. Muslic would be a great shout, we would need him to apply as I'm not convinced the board even know who he is. Like you boys I'm completely resigned to Martin though, which I'm not completely against, but it feels like it's going to end in 18 months in shambles. -
I agree with all of this, if it is Martin, he wouldn't be who I want, but he would likely get us back up. Putting aside for a second whether people like or loathe his style of football. I just can't see how his brand can be effective in the premier league, given the standard of player we will have to execute it. So then I just get to the point of thinking what's the point? It's been proven the football that he plays works well when your the best or at least one of the better teams in the league, but its a disaster when you aren't. The only thing I noted he said he would change is he would encourage more of the "dark arts" which probably would help, but it would take one of the best recruitment campaigns you've ever seen to find a group of players than can play his brand of football in the premier league on a championship budget.

Two Lineker recommendations. I felt like it would be Russell Martin months ago, and I still think it will be, but no one seems to know what's going on with us, communication even internally has broken down. Rangers fans would like Martin and I think he would be better suited to them. I have such an apathy towards whoever we appoint as they will have to operate under the clown show above them. If we are between Martin and Dyche, that would show you how clueless we are, 2 completely different managers who will want and need completely different things. The lack of any idea what we are doing couldn't be more evident
-
Going as expected. Players who won't be here next season making sure they don't get an injury to damage a move led by a "manager" who wants a pay off we won't give.
-
That's fair, I think I'm just currently in the denial stage of grief, finding it hard to imagine anyone would be worthy of it ever again. When they give it to Ayew next season 🤢💔
-
Nothing solid. Just a few well connected people reckon they have some info, so it's difficult to really know if it's true or not. Jordan on the podcast mentioned he'd been told by 2 separate sources the same info about the club looking for further investment or wanting to sell a significant % of the club. A couple on here noticed some very rich Thai business men are attached to king power and the club who aren't well known. I highly doubt they would sell us, but they can't be pleased with a 2nd relegation, Top might not be a football man but I can imagine other people who have significant power around King Power may well be and will be asking questions.
-
Interesting Vardy didnt mention Rudkin in his video, but did thank Susan, I'm probably reading too much into it though. I'm just pleased the media are really starting to pick up on it all, even the most hard-core king power fanatic must be struggling to form an argument against it now.
-
Inevitable, as some have said it does feel like the end of our successful era and we now enter a new one of uncertainty and obscurity while we try and figure out how to fix this mess. But this isn't about that for now, just about him, the best we ever had and probably ever will have. If the club has anything left about it they will retire the number 9 shirt and get a statue built ASAP. Going to take some time to come to terms with this and see him play for someone else even if it is in America. Cheers for everything you absolute king.

Ric Flair Live & Direct on BSLB Podcast

Jonathan was excellent, one of the best guests you've had, spoke really well, good insight and caveated bits. And his tone, he felt like one of us, struggling to comprehend what's going on despite having knowledge. I know quite a few people on here have said our success was down to Nigel Pearson, but this really brings it home, Jonathan gave a good overview of how things worked and why we have been left behind, good members of the team have been head hunted and we've been left with the dregs and we haven't evolved. We are essentially Blockbuster when streaming services first appeared trying to cling on to something that's only heading in one direction. On Rudkin, the interesting bit is another journalist with insight saying Rudkin needs help and has too much power, which seems to be the feeling around the club, he does work/try hard and could have a role, but not the one he has now. The bit about we wanted O'Neil back and only got Ranieri because his agent sent a CV in...I mean that optimises the process the board goes through, pure vibes and luck. I struggle to agree on all the RVN points, I do understand the points raised and how he's been let down, but for me he's already shown he has a distain for us, never goes over to the fans, embraces opposition players laughing and joking with them, everything about him just screams he isn't the guy despite the bad circumstances, and though I do agree a disciplinarian is the right way forward, he doesn't seem to have much else in the locker tactically and team selection wise it's very poor. Overall I do think it doesn't matter who is in charge until we see some shake up above the manager, no manager will be able to excel until that's fixed. I find myself dissecting this podcast more than the football atm as its the only thing about leicester bringing me any joy! 😅 Good stuff keep it up. -
I think alot of people on here, me included are not surprised at all, it's exactly as expected. I think the fact a large group have dared to speak out and the media have got hold of it has left him furious. The only thing the silence is doing is making some who are still on the owners side start to question themselves. It's a terrible look to just say nothing and adds more fuel to the fire. I should add, I expect an AI generated statement to land soon enough, but its already too late.
-
This is spot on, it kind of goes in hand with what opposition fans say. "You achieved more than 95% of clubs will ever achieve in their modern history, so you can't complain" This mentality has taken hold of the board and their supporters, we should just accept whatever happens because of a small period of success. What I would say is this forum, the protests, the re structure of the Foxes Trust, tells me that people do care and I believe there is a movement growing, it might not go as fast or as hard as some would like, but it is happening.

Iwebema replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I honestly think if he is still here for Wolves, this is just Top refusing to accept his hand picked selection has failed and he ideally wants him in for next season and is hoping these "easier" fixtures will justify it. -
A challenge I would offer regarding all the plane business, summarising a bit here but you say in your video that Rudkin shouldn't have a job but it's up to Top to decide. The problem is they are in too deep together so no fair process on job evaluation can happen and whilst I do agree that ideally fan consultations/fan groups are the best route, the foxes trust has not held the board to account and the board have time and again shown they don't engage or listen. As a fan how are you supposed to show your dissatisfaction with all the things you raised when the ones in question do not engage with you on any level? At best you get Whelan in a private redacted meeting and that's it. I didn't donate to the plane but I understand why people felt the need to do it.

This is a big reason why I wouldn't get my hopes up for any change. His footballing knowledge extends from Rudkin to anything on the Premier League years. He won't have the first clue on who is out there to replace Rudkin. -
Definitely been told not to by the club if they don't bring it up, it's on every media outlet going.
-
They are still on to "Do a Leicester" like their fans and the media were desperate for pre Christmas. Not that they care about us...👀

Whilst I did find the clapping of Harvey's goal against us very odd...I have alot of time for him, I constantly find myself wanting him to do well, unlike some of tossers that have left us, I wish him nothing but the best.

This got me aswell, I'd have to go back and re listen, but I don't really want to haha.... I could of sworn he said Rudkin employs great people around him, like its his super power and then when questioned about the disaster he then blamed departments that Rudkin would of had a hand in recruiting. Very bizarre. Anyway I'm glad most people saw it as I did and cut right through the nonsense, my face was constantly bemused throughout most of it, not just because he held the opposite view, which is important to listen to, but he couldn't back it up with anything other than things used to be good and essentially said we should just ignore the long list of transgressions. If there's one bit of potentially valuable insight from it, we can be pretty confident that is the view the current board hold and are still likely holding... sat in meetings together baffled at why people don't like them. -

Goes along with what I have been told that RVN has tried to get out but we haven't accepted a settlement. I assumed it was money related, but if that's true then it's just Top doubling down on his poor appointment because he stepped in and hand picked this one and won't accept reality. Which given the delusion at board level would fit well. -

Youth - I took it as, yes they are talented, they aren't at premier league levels, which I think arguably is fair, but we aren't asking them to keep us up, we are trying to "bed them in" as he says. My takeaway was players like alves/nelson yes bring them in. The likes of evans and aluko it's going to be a huge jump to just throw them in day 1 in the championship, just be careful you don't break them. Monga I think is a possible unicorn here. Id also say hes not been here for 2 years so I don't think hes as close to the current levels. So he's just cautioning not to break them. He did also say Kasey Mcateer is 6ft4? Not sure if he just got confused with him and Ben Nelsen. Rudkin - The cynic in me would suggest he's probably close to him and given the business he's working in, it would make sense he's giving him a glowing reference. I don't think, and I may be wrong, people have suggested Rudkin doesn't work hard, it's been quite well reported that he does too much, and is reluctant to relinquish power and get help to his own detriment. I'm also led to believe the players and agents like him, but why would you not when he's been signing off the big contracts left and right? Again important to remember he also left in 2022, and I'd say the last 3 years have really put a spotlight on the ownership/board. A red flag for me was his "Little old leicester" reference, get back in your box and don't you dare question anyone. Which is where my cynicism on his views here come from, it seems like he conveniently missed out the worst relegation in history. It was the successful period and then just instantly into this season, didn't really delve into the decline. My overall opinion was it's just a guy (excuse the pun) starting out in the football agent world and he's trying not to burn bridges. The only thing I took of note were his comments on youth and being careful not to break them. Otherwise I don't think he really got into the mess that we are in, was very much when I was there it was good times, so don't criticise now and remember you are little old leicester. Appreciate him coming on and you getting him on though always interested to hear balance even if I'm being a cynical nob ha. -
Agree with alot of what's been said. Played the right formation and players, before RVN went three at the back we were playing this formation but with Ayew and BDCR on the wings and Vardy up top, which is why it didn't work, the formation and system is built for pace, it's actually quite insane that Ruud couldn't see it and his answer was to just play a back 8 and go on the run we did. Which is why he still has to go. I also think some of the pressure is lifted now that everyone's accepted relegation, just go out there and play. It wasn't perfect, first half was a bit Cooper, clinging on. We definitely defended with a bit more effort without Faes, who shouldn't play for the club again imo, for Okolis limitations as a player he was trying which is all we can ask, even the podcaster was without being next to someone half arsing it. Id bring skipp in for soumare rest of the season aswell, as like it or not he's going to be a big part of the midfield next season so we need to transition away from some of the wasters who definitely can't be arsed any more. Ruud still has to go, and I'm sure he's still desperate to aswell, I'm just glad we managed to show a bit of grit and fight which can give us a bit of optimism for next season regardless of all the major things that really need changing.
