  1. We quite simply do not have a striker. We all said it will be the difference maker for us as we are solid enough as a core. Carranza isn't it, we didnt do a good enough job finding one. We might get lucky as this league is awful, but so are we going forward outside of fatawu doing it all for us.
  2. 8 months to go.
  3. Exactly the same as Coventry for me, we are organised, look solid when Faes isn't having one of his moments. Which has to be seen as a positive. But 2 games back to back we look absolutely toothless going forward, never really created a clear cut chance. Ayew absolutely kills us going forward. We simply have to get better in the final 3rd by some distance. Still early so there is alot of time for us to evolve and get better, but certainly a red flag to repeat the same mistakes 2 games in a row.
  4. Same as Cov really. Better side, playing nice football, bar faes doing his thing and costing us another goal, we look solid. But we simply will not score goals with Ayew up front, its very obvious he isn't a striker.
  5. Faes having one of those days he has every single time he plays haha
  6. Thought we were the better side by some distance. We just dont have a striker, Ayew for all his hardworking just isn't a striker and is killing us going forward. Our season in terms of promotion will lean on carranza being something I think. The pros for me is we are well organised and solid, which is a big step considering a year of chaos with largely the same bunch.
  7. The simple solution is work together on creating an area exclusively for things like this and make it clear to fans in the area this is happening and you can move your seat if you want. Diluting the atmosphere because a handful of people want to see players walk on to a pitch, which is bizarre in itself. The club seem to forget that its a sporting event, not a cinema.
  8. I think you have to score it based on the context of the mess we have created for ourselves. Obviously its unbelievable that we are in this position and pretty much unforgivable. But when you add the context of where we are right now, I think its been decent and is heading in the right direction.
  9. I think a solid 7. We made food strides to remove the bad eggs. Weve kept the core of a good squad together and added the right kind of profile on minimal risk deals. We just really need Carranza to hit the ground running. Its been the biggest gap all season and I think James is a very good signing at this level, was very impressed with him in the games against Birmingham. All in all weve given ourselves a shot at promotion
  10. Who is going to beat @moore_94 posting it
  11. Not that anyone is ITK at the club, but Jordan Blackwell suggested this and Rak Sakyi is off the table now
  12. Can't imagine you would pick Leicester over the shot at a title and European football...here's hoping though. Looking like another window weve left it too late and its going to be a fight to get the players we need in.
  13. Carranza looks done The only 2 known linked players who didnt make their squads this weekend were James and Rak Sakyi. So they could be in play. Im guessing BEK out and those 3 in
  14. Whoever your contact is, can they make sure James and Rak-Sakyi come in aswell please. 😅
  15. James, Carranza and Rak Sakyi would be amazing let alone the rest
  16. Just have to hope Marti can coach him up and turn his time here around! Never say never...
  17. Looks like hes heading to Wolves assuming he turns down a Saudi move
  18. If its cheap say £2m and hes in addition to a CM & a Striker. Then fine, I dont think its completely necessary, but no harm in adding depth. If its £5m+ and our only signing. Its insane
  19. Just doesn't look ready, thought he was very poor in both games and got bullied. But hes only just turned 17 so theres plenty of time for him to learn and grow, cant be hammering the lad, its a big ask and a difficult position to play at such a young age.
  20. Absolutely terrible until we went 2 up and then he did what hes good at...seeing out a win. Shouldn't be starting up front, absolutely kills our entire attack and game plan. Please buy Marti a striker, I cant watch 40 odd games of Ayew haha
  21. Better awareness and work rate tonight. Still a long way to go being more confident on the ball. Easily hes best performance for us since signing, but its a low bar.
  22. Those taking shots given the terrible situation he inherited looking a bit silly tonight. We are still blunt in attack, but that is definitely down to lack of options. Hes got us well organised, probably the best weve been off the ball for a long time. Whilst its still not perfect, having this defensive foundation is certainly the start we build from. Just please let him bring in a couple of attacking options
  23. Marti has really got us playing well without the ball. Good structure, good work rate and defending. Granted Birmingham were surpringly quite poor... The gap is so obvious, get a striker and a creative central midfielder. It really is the gap between trying to break into the play offs vs automatic for me
  24. Ayews been involved, had some nice touches, but his general style of play is killing us going forward. When you have a defensive striker and 2 holding midfielders with no attacking qualities its tough to break teams down. Its been the same every game, it really is just a personel issue. Can't argue we look organised and more solid, but he cant work miracles with these attacking options.
  25. Getting a better glimpse of how Marti wants us to play here, issue is still the quality of player trying to execute it, we havent done anything around the box minus a Birmingham mistake. Team is crying out for a striker and a 10 if BEK does go.
