Excellent half, just haven't scored. Whilst vardy has been wasteful, he's leading by example, scrapping for everything and the team is following.
-
Set up is spot on, playing really well, just got to execute. Such a shame we didn't have a more progressive manager from day 1, you can see week to week what RVN is trying to do. The worry is just the quality of player being able to do it.

Playing well again, waiting for the brain fart to go 1-0 down 😅

Very lucky to get anything from this, they ran their race for about 60 and have been absolutely battered

I don't think we can do it anyway without a loan going back. A short term loan wouldn't be awful business, whilst he's not brilliant..neither are we 😅

LCFC will NOT face any charges for breaching PSR

He went in to hard too early on all the fake leaks and it's 2025 Internet culture, never ever admit you were wrong, if anything double down in a more angry way -
LCFC will NOT face any charges for breaching PSR
Iwebema replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
This is what PSR is meant to prevent, which it does and that's a good thing, you don't want clubs billions in debt to a wealthy owner. 👍 The issue is it came in too late and the "big 6" already started on an unfair level, having commercial revenues so far ahead of everyone else, the only way to really compete now is to increase yours to their levels, but to do that you need to keep churning your playing staff by feeding the best to the "big 6" In order to comply. Anchoring to me would be fair, or having an average max amount of commercial revenue apply to PSR. I certainly think there are other ways to do it that are more pro competition. But agree it can't be just allowing rich people to pump money in and then leave when they get bored and ask for it all back. -

He doesn't even know what he's moaning about, he can't believe the decision that he doesn't understand or has any information on. But he's also sure it's wrong. Just a complete nob -

What a complete and utter melt -
I think they genuinely just said "it's not really in the spirit of the rules" I think the PL were just trying to save face a bit, but internally they know they have dropped a clanger. Nothing says we made these rules up on the fly with no real consideration other than to protect the big clubs like all the loopholes and sloppy legal text thats being identified.

There have been a few strange articles. I wouldn't say this is as bad as that fluff piece at the start of the season, but it certainly misses the point....it talks about 4/5 years of failures with transfers and managers with differing styles and opinions on previous managers signings. But then suggests its a team effort. My take would be there is one constant in all that and it's this current board and him in particular, their maybe other failings beneath him but he is meant to oversee all of this. From what little I know, the issue those that want him gone is the players ( maybe just a group, not clear on the numbers) like him, largely because he sorts them out with big contracts and promotional deals etc. I've heard one member of the senior team say he's being used as the scapegoat. But I just go back to the above and think if it's not him then who the hell is it that's making these poor decisions for almost 5 years?

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Iwebema replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I doubt he would if he has ambitions of a career in management, 2 walk outs in 2 jobs isn't a good look. But considering he was never that interested in management in the first place it's a possibility. If there's one club that could put someone off being a manager for life it's certainly us in our current state! Ha One thing we need to do as fans is support him and the team, we can't control the potential psr issues and general madness above him, but we can give him and the team a lift. -
These are the types of signings we should be making, I don't know alot about him, but we should be focusing on young upcoming cheaper prospects who have been well scouted rather than cast offs from other premier league teams.
-
Perhaps we need to create some kind of role at the club where someone oversees some kind of football direction, playing style, transfer philosophy etc. 😅
-
Totally agree, I think both options are on the table if we go down, it might be 1 step back to take 2 forward, a bit like the relegation to league one. I do believe this comes down to competence, I think Top cares, maybe not as much as Vichai but certainly more than some nightmare owners. The problem imo is he is not a football guy and he's surrounded himself with a bunch of chancers who 10 years ago may have stood a chance, but the game has grown significantly and they are now well out of their depth but he hasn't got it in him to sack them until it gets so bad his hand his forced....I think this possible relegation given the EFL are frothing at the mouth for us may be a turning point for something to happen.
-
Weve seen transfer windows like this, I would prepare for the worst. The complete lack of links, Tanner suggesting we aren't close to anyone, PSR rumours left and right. We might get a defender in on loan at most, but I think we've blown our load in the summer and there's not a great deal left to spend without moving players on which we are notoriously awful at.
-
The familiar silence is deafening. IF we don't sign anyone I have a feeling RVN may walk, he's never been 100% about management, walked away from PSV, if we have lied to him like we did with Enzo, I can't see him taking it well. If that's how it plays out, which I hope it doesn't, I am not sure who would go near us again, multiple managers in a row we've not been truthful with about finances and the position of the club, people in football talk.
-
I would be surprised if it was us as we were in the EFL last season? We sold alot of players. Wages are likely still too high but I think we did a reasonable amount of work to comply. I'm not sure how we could be in breach after half a season in the prem? I know it's all very complex though. On the Everton point, I have a couple of Everton fans at work and they think it's them, I don't really understand how they've got in such a mess as they've been about +100m in player sales the last 2 seasons. Will it be to do with the new ground?

Would a recall invalidate some of the fee? Not 100% on how it works. -
Sorry if I missed something here, do we know why this has happened (or not happened)? It's just so bizarre.

Spot on, we will never get back to what we were until there's a major shake up at board level. If Top doesn't want or wont sell, which given the emotional ties feels like he won't, he has to hold those around him to account for the poor performance of the last 5 years. Until he does that we are done being a serious club. I think relegation will be so catastrophic for us that it might finally happen, but if we go down and we just carry on as if it's fine then I really don't know what else it will take. -
I can't find it sorry, might need to improve my Web sleuthing skills. It was at the end of the season and he said something along the lines of we need to improve what's going on behind the scenes and become more professional if we want to compete in the premier league again.
-
I think its likely all 3 promoted sides drop, but they are by far the most likely to stay up, just because they have a better all round direction and feel, we are sleep walking again like we have for a while. My only hope it RVN will at least do what Enzo did and call them all out above him for not being serious. We can argue cooper vs rvn but cooper was a yes man who was just lucky to have a job, RVN won't stand for the nonsense I think and that might be the most important thing that happens regardless of league position
