  1. Reopen the "does foxestalk influence" thread
  2. Difficult to see a positive result here, the important thing will be the performance and getting a post cooper marker down for the massive West Ham game
  3. Happy to give RVN a chance, he is very new to management so its difficult to be 100% one way or another on him, it's certainly a risk but I don't think it's destined to fail, Enzo failed at Parma... If Top is taking more direct control I would see that as the main positive, we've all said the issue is at board level and if he's showing signs of being a more involved and serious owner rather than a nice guy who just sees this as a bit of a side interest that's great to see.
  4. Craig Pawson is such an awful ref. Possibly the worst in the league.
  5. Its just pictures of players with extensive Premier league experience.
  6. Who wants to get ahead of it and start the Ruud Out thread?
  7. Loads of people with blue ticks on X that I dont know have said they understand it's not potter. Ha
  8. Whoever it is, I hope that as a group we can all try and be united behind them. I know thats a bit rich from me as I was cooper out for a while, but I felt I had good reason. But we need to get back to uniting together as a group and back whoever it is as its going to be tough.
  9. It will be media ex pro mates club and because he's English. No real thought going into it.
  10. This was always going to be the case with the media, just so many chancers around who will just trope out the standard football party lines without digging deeper into it. I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but aside from cooper just being horrendously out of his depth, no one is mentioning the fact he was only appointed because anyone "good" thought we were getting a points deduction he threw himself at us because he knew no premier league team would go near him, it was just a very specific situation that lead to it. Mixed in with he'd lost the dressing room already, so even if you objectively thought he was doing well, we all know when the players turn its game over so it doesn't matter. Sure you can look at the players and criticise them, but dig deeper 🤷‍♀️
  11. This is a great summation of Moyes. He feels like Cooper but a proper manager, it will be ugly but we will be well drilled. If the players did hate the tactics and they "miss enzo" it would be a bizarre appointment. I'm not completely against it as he would have us well drilled and tough to beat instead of what ever the hell Cooper was doing (defensive and wide open at the same time, bizarre) but this does partly feel like a player revolt and I think they will want someone who plays more expansive football which I think means RVN or Potter.
  12. Not a good look for the players, but it does continue to confirm all the reports we were hearing from inside the camp. Need a manager in who can get control of the players as by all accounts they ran the show, cooper was out of his depth.
  13. 100% whilst there are a lot of things you can throw at the board from the last few years, this is just normal dumb media nonsense when they can't be arsed to get into the finer detail. The board should for once be commended for acting so quickly and realising there was a reason he threw himself at us, should never be near this level.
  14. Agreed. What I would say is alot of insider information, whether you choose to believe it or not, is we've been eyeing this up for a while as the players had been complaining for a long time about him.
  15. Quite unexpected from the board and they deserve credit for acting this fast, it kind of tells you that everything we were hearing from behind the scenes had some truth behind it.
  16. He just needed more time 👀
  17. Yep, I think we are the worst coached team in the league by some distance. But think our squad is better than saints and Ipswich, I wouldnt take many of their players.
  18. Similar terrible defending to us, which will be their down fall, but they at least try and take the game to the opposition before they are 2-0 down.
  19. We aren't in the relegation zone, he is achieving what he is being asked to do, who else would you bring in, not even peak Alex Ferguson could get this squad to win games they are worse than a pub team. They seem to be the general themes. And then faced with the endless list of articulate reasons why he is factually a really poor manager at this level they just say, you just don't like him because he's ex forest. The only positive is that 30 something number was closer to 130 a few weeks ago, people are waking up, shame it's a bit slow, but its not too late yet, we certainly can't afford to wait until January... there will always be some that will dig their heels in until the bitter end to be contrary though.
  20. Couldn't agree more! I wouldnt mind so much if we had gone up unexpectedly last season, a bit like Luton or Ipswich, you are just thinking we are in it for the ride. But at times we walked the championship last season, this isn't a team that should just accept needlessly playing chicken with relegation. I'm not saying we should be finishing 10th etc. But I do believe we should be aiming for 15th, I think this squad can achieve that, but there's absolutely no chance with cooper in charge, even when we have played well in small moments he's almost gone out of his way to nip it in the bud and revert back to safe dogmatic negative football, he's such a negative manager, I'm not even sure he's said much positively about us, it's always talking us down like we should just be thankful to be here, which was rodgers 101 when he began to totally lose it, it's always a sign for me that a manager is unravelling. And like I say its a dead end, he's frozen most of the youth out, there's no style, no tactics, no room for growth, no pathway, nothing that makes you think he's the guy long term, it's just dogmatic negative football, hope we scrape enough points through hard work, so what's the point in carrying on we can get anyone in to do what he's doing, might aswell try and get someone in where they are able to show us they might have something that with time and invest could maybe get us back to being a stable prem club. Bit of a frustrated rant there, sorry ha
  21. I get where you are coming from, I think the issue for me with cooper is there is almost no hope, there's nothing to build on to try and get back to that level. It's just a dead end. Of course we could sack cooper and bring in someone equally shit, but at least it would signal some positive intent from the board that they are trying....even if they keep messing up 😅
  22. Hoping to deflect so that no one figures out he's an utter fraud at this level.
  23. At this level we kind of are, football has moved on so much over the last few years, bang average teams are able to bring in proper professional football minds. Of course it doesn't always work out, but the days of managers like cooper (Steve Bruce, Alan pardew, Mark Hughes) managing at this level are long gone. He's so far out of his depth is unbelievable and is solely relying on being a nice guy and convincing the players to run for him.
  24. That is broadly his entire managerial career, Swansea and forest were the same, keep it tight, stay in a game and a work hard, see if we catch a break.
  25. Yep I think if we lose comfortably against brentford he could...but I expect the west ham home game to be the decisive game. He's clinging on now.
