  1. I don't see how they get away with operating how they are. The worst case scenario is they win the FA Cup this season. Because if they don't then they'll have nothing to show for it and be in a much worse scenario than we are now. We never won the league because we were laughing in the face of PSR and doing what Marinakis is doing though. The ironic thing is we'd be right to praise Top and Vichai like we do for the Premier League if they did throw 350m at doing it.
  2. Difference being their spend has been like £1-5m for years. Venkys operate by spending what they need to on running costs and barely keep everything else afloat. Bit like Mike Ashley but just for the Championship. As bad as King Power have operated, they do throw money at it when they can. They've just done it horrifically. The way Rudkin and co keep getting out of jail is because of how easy it is to get out the Championship with a budget like ours. The fact Top can't see how going from where we were to where we are now is the real crime. That's the sackable offence. Thinking Rudkin is masterminding anything here by just about getting out of jail and PSR loopholes is laughable.
  3. I think this idea that if we bounce straight back then the cycle will continue is far from true. That would suggest there's been any kind of good running from King Power to get where they did initially. They managed to get good people in below them in Pearson and co. We just need to do that again. Far easier said than done but it's doable. The only good thing I can still say about Top is I think he will fund whoever comes in. He just needs to stop the blind loyalty to some staff. I'm not talking in terms of King Power leaving any more because they won't. So just trying to think of the best case scenario. I certainly don't buy into the idea a few years in the Championship is better.
  4. He's been written off more times than my Mum's cars. If he'll accept 30k a week and want to finish on a potential high than sign him up. Not a chance I'd back Rudkin to replace him with anyone better for 30k a week so I'd take the risk that using him in rotation like Enzo did is a better option.
  5. You know how sometimes fans get it completely wrong and it's like yeah there's a reason fans don't run clubs I think everything I've seen more or less every fan say about every prune who runs this club for the last few years has been spot on
  6. This is just the worst. I don't even know how to word this and I'm clearly a lot more competent than a lot of you from the likes of New Parks. No offence.
  7. I actually just let out one of them screams you see someone on a soap do when their spouse gets hit by a car in the street
  8. I've only ever scored them in P.E over 10 years ago so why you asking me?
  9. Seeing Ipswich are also 1-0 felt like after being battered by a gang of youths in an alley, one came back to kick me in the cock.
  10. First of all I absolutely agree with you about King Power. Don't want this to sound like a defense of them in anyway. I've made it well known what I think of Rudkin and that lot. We have just kept our heads above water by operating like we have the last 2 years. The relegation was catastrophic in terms of how we could still operate with these wages. If we dropped down say to league one last season instead of promotion, can you imagine the implications? You're taking about doing that twice. Top would more than likely try and sell with no one willing to buy and any club that's dropped from Premier League to League 2 like Coventry and Wimbledon have either gone or been very close to going. We'd be on a different level to that. Even if we didn't go bust, would you really want every other week to be headline after headline like 2002?
  11. Absolutely ****ing disgusting. Why did I even bother tuning in to 2 minutes?
  12. Wouldn't be a club left if we dropped that far
  13. The reason they should be more bothered about this relegation is the widening gap between the Championship and Premier League - and on paper we should have been in the best possible position of a promoted side to survive. Given the wage bill we went down with. If we're promoted next season then there won't be anyone on the level of KDH, Hermansen, Ricardo, Ndidi etc. So we've effectively let ourselves fall into the yo-yo club again.
  14. They really posted about the Man City game in Thai instead of English this morning. I don't know what to say any more
  15. To be fair the Family Stand have been staging a protest by walking out on the 70th minute for 2 years
  16. For how absolutely shit we have been run, we did at least have huge sales of academy products to alleviate some of the burden we had put on ourselves through irresponsible expenditure on wages. Forest won't have that. If the rules ensured everything caught up with us eventually, I feel like it will be a lot quicker for Forest. Champions League is a must for them really when you look at the difference in money compared to the other two competitions. Even Villa had to sell players they didn't want to after qualifying for it. Of course this could all be wishful thinking too.
  17. It's actually inexplicable that you can't watch games like these when they'll be a full camera crew at every single Premier League game. They manage to broadcast every EFL game with only a couple of cameras there. They didn't even show replays last season, don't know if it's changed. Even the blackout stuff is a load of shit now. If you lifted it every game will still be a sell out and I highly doubt it would effect local games. If anyone wants to stay at home and watch Man United instead of their local team (which I find a myth anyway) you can do so.
  18. Stop it. We'll dump them into the Europa conference places and they'll be out the cup
  19. Theres definitely substance to the theory that keeping the ball at the back means there's less time for the opposition to score and I'd concede that it did work in that run where teams would turn up at the KP and sit back the whole match. Fun to watch? Absolutely not. But effective for results. Even then though I was sat watching games thinking we could win this by 5 or 6 playing quicker. Instead we'd settle for "methodical" 2-0 wins. His time to show everyone he was genuinely a good manager came when teams adapted to us. Used that word revisionism a lot when talking about Cooper and in comparison to Ruud, Enzo looks like Ancelotti. But he was absolutely found out in that second half of the season and we almost forget how bad we were. Hated the way he managed the squad too. Another thing this "philosophy" does is instantly alienate players who don't apparently fit that exact way of playing. The amount of money we wasted on players like Kristensen, only to then deem him obsolete for that level because he doesn't play inverted. Another Rudkin masterclass.
  20. I don't mind valuing possession. One of the many things i despise about the Russell Martin and Enzo new types is this absolutely bullshit philosophy that it doesn't matter if you lose as long as you played their way. The amount of games in that second half of the season that we lost by a goal and looked nothing like scoring. Against teams we had one player worth more than their entire squads at times. From a result standpoint it benefitted us for games we could be flat track bullies and just keep the ball at the back when teams like Stoke would just give us way too much respect. Once that respect stopped or we played the better teams, there was nothing to suggest the tactics were anything special.
  21. I do feel for him in terms of having to deal with a group of players like Winks, who were so devoted to Enzo. He never stood a chance with players like him doing interviews when we were 14th saying we should be higher. I thought a positive of Ruud's arrival would be the players wanting to show everyone just how bad Cooper's lack of tactics were. In reality he's been made to look quite pragmatic thanks to Ruud. Annoys me seeing the likes of Geoff Peters constantly banging the drum for Cooper on socials and using his stats Vs Ruud as some kind of revisionism for Cooper. It was clearly his "vision" that ensured we got "premier league ready" Ayew and the like. Disgraceful that we have a DOF without any kind of vision whatsoever, and as a result have players different managers with different playing styles made him sign. Irony being none of them are even here now.
  22. I like this guy
  23. Forest fans are overly defensive of his time with us because they view him like a god for getting them a promotion after 25 years of absolute shit. They even put him alongside Brian Clough on tifos ffs. That supposedly huge club. They don't want to admit he's just a limited championship manager. That would be admitting they've had absolutely no history for 40 years.
  24. I was at this stage 30 seconds after Danny Ward walked out at Newcastle
  25. Id love to know how they're assessed on their performance in running the pages. Not exactly glowing feedback on any of the socials. Probably just blame it on performance on the pitch. Stick a "we go again" on there Gareth, they'll love that.
