Leicestershire County Cricket Club

The ECB couldn't make it clearer that they don't want the tournament to succeed. Last year, we had a free day bank holiday August Monday but the game had to be played Tuesday -

Tell me the business model. Nobody is interested in this thing. The money men are looking, for sure. Problem is, they are looking but can't see how to monetise it. It's bankrupt, in every sense. -

Lol, now there's some (pretty decent) indie band on at half time playing to a bemused audience who aren't taking a.blind bit of notice. Edit. Lol, literally zero applause. To give this some context tho, it's equivalent to that **** Agnew having a bowling net session on stage prior to the band doing a gig at the Brixton Academy -

Got this shite on for the first time this summer. Ok, I'm never gonna be persuaded but the tv coverage and the sporting jeopardy is absolute shite. Total absolute shite. It's cricket Susan Whelan would invent. It really ain't that hard to revive/win new interest in cricket. JUST.STICK.T20.ON.MAINSTREAM.TV. -
Will he be the first German in the PL since Bert Trautmann?

I do sometimes wonder if it's as simple as Whelan/Top simply not knowing how to. Unless it's a formal process of HR recruitment process with the job publicly advertised as a vacancy, Whelan may not have a scooby how to find a DoF. Wouldn't be surprised.

Non ironic comment. I'm evangelical about keeping this building. In 20-30 years Lee Circle and the Abbey Street car park (with hotel) will be tourist attractions. The only difference between tat and antique is time. The only difference between art and scribble is admiration.

Paris Olympic Games 2024

Just seen the Tom Cruise thing for the closing ceremony. Goodness gracious. He must be mining Africa's entire Botox reserves. -
Agree. I have this weird sense there's goings on that makes this more than just a regular ownership, business relationship. It's almost like a cult. You can imagine this going full David Koresh Waco siege. The Facebook loonies taking up arms (like the Branch Davidians did) to defend the KPLCFC relationship. It's toxic.

Spaceman jetpack opening ceremony. Zola Budd legging over Mary Decker. Ovett having the mardies when losing. Daley Thompson whistling. -
Glad I found this out AFTER regularly flying on Flybe!

Stick that up yer Huw Edwards! -
I've read about the ice. Probs a very silly question, but planes at 30000ft+ fly routinely at -50c .....including over the arctic, Alaska, Siberia etc. how on earth could ice prove so problematic?

You can glide out of a stall though, right? Must be a loss of control / loss of systems to be unable to pull out of that

Lol, as per, the usual foxes talk line ups get trotted out....Alves ,Golding, braybrook, this new lad, cannon, nelson....wouldnt be surprising if some are choosing Casadei
-
Hopefully we can loan the lad out before transfer deadline day.

I thought that'd get a rise

I supported his appointment. But, even as someone with goodwill towards him, I have to agree he's looking ill at ease with the job. His media interviews seem nervous, awkward. He doesn't exude leadership skills. He's beta male. Which means he has to be very very very good at his job to overcome that. I have concerns - but haven't given up yet.

Whilst Rudkin and Whelan pay minute by minute tributes and trinkets to assorted Thai rich kid tik tokers, monks , the thai royal family and splash gold over everything that moves..... NOTHING will change -
Steve Cooper: The Tactics Thread
Paninistickers replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
I dont buy into anti football as a tag. Unless, you count professional fouls, handball on line etc. I think players, any player, thrives when playing to their strengths. Allowing Souttar and Vesty to head all day and then pass long and wide is a tried and tested and entertaining formula. We won the league doing more or less than. Morgan/Huth wins header,.lay off to schmeichel who launches into a channel. -
Steve Cooper: The Tactics Thread

I supported Cooper's appointment and was looking forward (still am) to some pragmatism. But that today was, well, anti spellbinding. It was extraordinary stuff. I actually thought Cooper may well use Souttar and Vesty as a pair, go ultra low block, invite in crosses ...the. hit long diagonals.to Fatawu and Stephy for counter attacks. What we saw today was nothing. Staggering stuff. -
Cup tie atmosphere. Crowd have a part to play. If we fielded last year's team with McAteer in for KDH and it was the cup at home, we'd fancy it.
-
So long as Okoli, VK (who I thought I liked, til I saw him) and BDCR are nowhere near the team, I'll be happy. I won't tear into players who've served us for years / last year. But them three are fair game.

Most of them have credit in the bank. This guy has zilch. He's dreadful. Quite.Simply. Dreadful. As others say, it's an agent favour signing. Stinks of it..like that Daley Thompson character was (who wasn't even a pro footballer)

Hahahahaha
