  1. Is this confirmed or verified in any way? The rumours at the time being madders and KDH (who both seem very personable lads) made VKs life uncomfortable because Luke Thomas (also seems a quiet unassuming lad) was their mate?? Luke Thomas not even close to being a regular prior to VK anyway?? As far as we all read it, Enzo made clear there was only this weird hybrid LB / LCB role available and VK wanted to play to his strengths as a conventional full back
  2. There's getting relegated and getting relegated. Sheffield were losing 6/7/8 nil every single week.. There's a world of difference of buying Maguire + Robertson when Hull went down, or Madders + Barnes when we went down....to purchasing players from Burnley and Sheffield
  3. That's the Fofana who looked garbage for Burnley? I'm always amazed at others who call for us to go for Hamer and the man city loanee at Sheffield, 20% of the second worst team ever to play at the top level. Leave well alone.
  4. Funny, I was thinking the opposite. Watching the cricket, new player and the England game on for added spice. I detest watching England in a pub (all that beer throwing shite and artificial limbs) so this might offer an option for plenty of others who hate that rigmarole too
  5. I'm sure the point has been raised before, but why can't we (don't we) flog Iversen and AN Other to Leuven for 25m and then just take our time keeping our best players and shifting those that are surplus
  6. How many times have we heard that? It's a. complete waste of time. Grace Road (or most other county grounds) just haven't got the vibe for Indian fans..they ain't interested. Bin em off
  7. There was a little spell around November and December with Casadei and we'd be cruising and he'd come on for the last 10 and the immediate contrast was dramatic. Maybe coincidence but like all our rhythm instantly evaporated,.we'd concede a silly goal. Every time he came on my heart sank and knew we were in for a tough last 10
  8. Well, I hope someone else takes that risk. He was garbage for us. Total garbage. Not only that, he made it pretty clear he didn't fancy it prior to signing If I remember rightly. Waiting for an Italian club or whatever. If he comes good, fair play to the club and the lad. But not on our watch
  9. Sounds like Smithy off Gavin and Stacey
  10. Well done to Rishi Sunak for publicly repeating 'p4ki' (using 4 as dunno if it'd get wiped) to highlight and magnify its offensiveness. I like Sunak. Or at least i like things about him. He's had an absolute hospital pass of a party (that didn't even want him) thanks to those genuine idiots Truss and Johnson. He'll be a loss to front line politics. Socially awkward. A little out of step. Politically not that shrewd. But a good chancellor, a fighter, genuine intellect, and a decent dress sense ,- I like his well tailored suits and shirts!
  11. None of it though his fault of course. Anyone remember his xG (or whatever saves are called)? It must've been up there with that Sheffield United lad
  12. He's above Conor Gallagher. KDH is a matchwinner. Those players are hard to find. Should KDH be in the England squad? Nah, don't think so....but Gallagher?! It's Southgate preposterousness at its worst. Fortunately, idga flying fck about England. But KDH is an absolute huge upgrade on Gallagher
  13. One of my personal highlights of last season was Casadei being recalled by his parent club. It was a huge dollop of good fortune. He was crap
  14. Agree. The PSR rules (that we and other medium sized clubs voted for) have forced our hand It's not just us. Other clubs have been forced into absurd sales in the last season or two
  15. Always a bit of a surprise that some players never find a club again. Danny Simpson a good example. Ended up with a couple of short term contracts with someone like Huddersfield and in the end, couldn't even get a gig when Training with Stalybridge Celtic Maybe it's a family/kids situation.for players in their 30s, but I'm surprised these type of players don't aim for 2k-5k a week deal playing in Austria or Holland or Poland etc
  16. Let's assume we need 25m to comply with PSR prior to 30 June.. Any bidders can have it quite simple. 30m before end of June,.PSR shortfall + 5m for us to replace After 30 June, 40m Dems da rules
  17. I try to be a little softer and not always equate reform / right wingers as nasty ....I know that's the narrative but couldn't be the fella is saying he's proud of his country, culture and yes, colour just as we might expect, say, Nelson Mandela to say he's be proud to be black, south African and his African culture. Sir John Hall may well be an appalling racist but those comments mentioned don't prove it. (Fwiw, and I feel the need to justify myself before any lazy assumptions, I don't personally give a shit of anyone's colour or religion or nationality or immigration method....all we all want surely is decency, manners and gives/asks for mutual respect)
  18. It's what he's worth to us tho. He's head and shoulders our best player. Maybe he's a 30m level.player but to us he's probs 50m. If that makes sense.
  19. Goodness. I respect your choices but my oh my, I couldn't think of anything worse for me
  20. Hopefully Lens means we've binned off playing a 'glamour' friendly. I find it galling we've for years now paid (PAID! FFS) some D list team who aren't nearly as good or as famous as us - plus with the added spice of us losing a key player to a snapped leg
  21. The kids look kinda sweet but you can imagine them giving the poor old Elephant Man a hard time if he shuffled past.
  22. I think it's lovely. A fox that looks cuddly Our badge is overly busy and tries to cram all sorts of things in. It's a total mess.
  23. I don't think there's a single manager in the world - Rodgers apart - that would voluntarily select Ward
  24. Haha. You know, that game away to Belgrade we missed a trick that sport beats politics. I remember Chairman John Elsom went over to Belgrade to check it out, they rolled the red carpet out for him, guaranteed our safety and offered to switch the legs so it didn't clash with their general election. We could've gone over in a genuine sign of sporting friendship. Instead - I guess under government pressure - we whined to uefa about safety and got the away leg relocated to Vienna and they (with some justification) hated us for it.
  25. Yeah, I have some sympathy for this. I'm sure he feels a bit sheepish and a bit apprehensive.
