I've given up trying to work out how the club works out it's finances. The bizarre purchase of Tom Cannon tells you everything we need to know about their approach. The club is bipolar and has these manic episodes

. Daka basically is the only one who's equipped, physically, to play a solo role up front. There is nobody else capable. Which,.I wonder,.there may be times we forgo entirely a man up top and just play a false nine and the three lads - Stephy, Fatawu and this new lad high and play on the break

City of Leicester & Leicestershire - The Good and Historical Stuff

Tbf, an absolute white elephant. And a track donkey's years out of date. However, at the very moment cycling became mainstream (previously the sport had been largely been pursued by middle-class bachelors) , yup, Leicester got rid. Funnily enough, our loss meant Derby then built a state of the art velodrome which has since put a whole new.meaning to the word white elephant. I think the athletics at saffron lane is in similar disarray (if not already demolished) -
So far so good for investments under a stable government. As vanilla as Starmer is, the markets.kove Vanilla. I'm up 4% give or take since last week. Not in one big spike either. Been a steady % point most days, with the occasional blip. Which I feel is better than one big artificial bounce

She looks hot. Get her in the birds off telly thread

Was it perhaps a normal length and we as a club had the option to extend? (Which we probs did to protect his sale value)

Steve Cooper: The Tactics Thread

Just something about having a British manager who looks / sounds like a coach I like it. Rodgers always seemed to be on the sidelines watching and giggling Maresca bogged down with theory and not articulating himself quite well enough Puel could barely speak English. There are shades of shakey that worries me a bit, but Cooper's pedigree is way above shakey. -
I think the armourer has already been tried and convicted I bet that. But,.it's kinda like cabin crew sitting you in the emergency exit and then being charged with failing to open the door quick enough

Disappointing - it's a marker for the city's 'original' immigration that's fast becoming forgotten -
How on earth can Alec Baldwin be on trial for firing what he thought - and was told - was a pretend gun? What an odd place the US can be at times.

Goodness gracious. No words. Poor John Hunt and his family.

Foxes Trust Update – Shirt Sponsorship
Paninistickers replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
Exactly that. They are hired precisely because the whole raison d'etre of KP being involved in LCFC is finance. The flip side is the whole charade only works if we are in the PL. We as fans take it, we are effectively bribed off with Pl football. But let's not pretend to ourselves that it's anything other than that. I've accepted Pl football, trophies and Europe in exchange for the club acting as a front / safe home for financial offshoring (from Thailand) as a trojan horse for loans, as a safe space if things go wrong in Thailand and, yes, money laundering dirty far eastern money. -
Foxes Trust Update – Shirt Sponsorship

It does make you wonder if the absolute impenetrability of the Rudkin/Whelan axis is connected to them being so deeply entrenched in the murky world of KP finances. Rudkin, running the horse racing operation FFS. It all stinks. -
Foxes Trust Update – Shirt Sponsorship
Paninistickers replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
A lot of this misses the point. This gaming business is a trojan horse for KP. The sponsorship is an absolute sham. The senior club staff are absolutely embedded in the KP culture of benevolence, silence, secrecy, and complex financial spider webs. PL rules. PSR rules. Transfer rules. Local planning rules. Everything is secondary to KP rules. There's no culture other than KP/Thai/Buddhist culture. There's no respect other than a far east Asian sycophantic respect to 'our dear leader'. History is ignored. Fans views ignored. Warning signs ignored. -
Agree. You just know that they will go down the Braverman route and lurch further right before another disastrous defeat ....only then they find someone electable ( but who has to feogn right win policies to win the membership blue rinse vote) but actually in reality is a one nation centre right moderate. They get elected and, quelle surprise, the right of the party revolts as per
-
It's not a gaming company sponsoring us. It's KP. Not saying I agree or disagree. Just want us all to at least acknowledge it's all one big financial fiddle
-
Good idea, but they'd have the usual maudlin 'forever in our hearts' splashed across
-
And 13 years in all blue in 100. 9 of them in the last 12

Steve Cooper: The Tactics Thread

Think the Reid signing is a large hint of where we are tactically headed this season. Fulham under Silva can play but they are absolutely at it for work rate. We are gonna run, run hard and have a default shape to fall back into out of possession. BDR will, I suspect, take the KDH role on the left for now and at least replace the work rate. I'm leaning towards Ricardo have a RAM role when playing. Wonder if he'll rotate Winks and Hamza during the game, bringing one of them off at 60 mins and replacing with the other. -
Ok, I can see the sense in women's teams avoiding white shorts but, frankly, 99.9 % of city fans couldn't give a shite if the girls team rocked up dressed as clowns. Off on a tangent, I've thought for a while the women's team should have it's own identity, kit and name away from simply, Leicester City Women. If they rebranded as, say Leicester Fosse, played in the maroon kit they could easily and be better referred to as the fosse as opposed to a dismissive the women, the girls etc

Yet on here, a couple of comments I've made about the (lack of) cleanliness of KP's wealth are wiped within seconds

Less worried about Starmer and more curious about the rest of the cabinet. Seems a lack of intellectual weight (not that intellectualism is always a good thing, but it doesn't hurt to have some big brains in there challenging a view)

She's basically the Diane Abbott of the Tories. There's academic intelligence there somewhere, as their education proves, but somehow, both are amongst the thickest people I have ever witnessed in politics. Socially awkward I can get. Misunderstood I can get. Unintelligent I can get. But she's none of those and all of those and essentially just plain stupid. Will she ever work again? Who'd take her on?
