I'm delighted he's staying however, I presume the deal is riddled with clauses. Surely, right?
-
Players soon change their tune when playing and better still, playing well and winning. Ask Vestergaard. He's under a long contract. Almost certainly we'll now have a manager that will play full backs and, frankly, due to finances, we may well have to 'pretend' that Souttar, VK and Soumare are new summer signings and integrate them.

Jim Dale, carry on actor, is from Rothwell, Northants

There is an element of that, I accept. But the alternative is to either endorse Labour or vote for 'none of the above'. Either is an endorsement of mediocrity (at best) I'm kinda enjoying Ed Davey just fcking the whole thing off and almost mocking the classical campaign trail tactics
-
100% I would. And I say that as an absolute fanatical remainer. It's not about insulting those who don't agree with me..Vote Green,.Libs,.Reform, Independent, Corbyn and Galloway It is actually in the public's hands to demand good government and public service. But labour? FFS, they haven't earned a vote.. I'm baffled where and why anyone who isn't tribal labour would lend them a vote. Winning by default ain't winning. The public can change this and demand something more than governing for governing's sake.
-
What.did Labour get last time? 30%? I struggle to imagine why that would increase. These extra 13% must be doolally. other than lifelong labour, why would people vote for this anodyne, meaningless,.pointless version of labour whose sole 'policy' seems to be to avoid upsetting Jewish people. Give me conviction politicians, give me single issue campaigners.. Give me genuine political talent (of any colour). Give me public servants.

Mate, I find this an appalling take. Liberals have campaigned for decades for PR and now it doesn't suit you, you don't want it. You can't have democracy only when it suits. I'm vastly in favour of PR. Always have been. And that means accepting a chunk of the population have nationalist views. These views should have representation, irrelevant if I agree. Likewise, there's be a campaigning Islamic voice in the houses of parliament too with PR. The far left with Corbyn would have seats. We'd have a strong Green Party. Btw, we've had 'extremists' in parliament for decades with the unionist parties. The world still turns.

Yeah, I was amazed the one time I went in for it to be so buzzy and independent. I kinda expected a chain vibe.
-
Oh come on. Really? Isnt it much more likely he's a well meaning, geeky, high achieving, intelligent but socially awkward Individual? He leads an unusual life (as do most high achieving individuals) ....I don't need the leaders to be 'normal' blokes. In fact, I'd prefer they weren't.
-
If the Tory advisors had any sense, they'd let Sunak just be himself (ie a geeky bit intelligent dullard) and go for it on detail. He actually landed some punches on climate policies and immigration and national service, when he let himself go a bit. Tories have no other choice but to go for a hail.mary and, against an appallingly vanilla Starmer, it could still bring about a more eldest defeat or even hung parliament

Quite happy paying the 25 quid premium to, basically, be able to lend out the ticket when I want. It's especially pleasing as that pisses off the club far more than not renewing.
-
I think that's the thing. Up to 250 seems Ok, ....up to 450 and it's like, hmmm, I dunno
-
Yeah, in check v late to see what seats are free late on. I've started to book the 'other seat' (when one in a three) is booked, and hope the middle one gets left as unwanted if flight isn't full. It worked once and didn't work the other time (and I wasn't happy!) Basically, I think I'd you could guarantee option 3, it's the best option IF there is a split in economy with a smaller cabin.
-
First world problems here, but mid to long haul, any views on the best option?.... 1. Premium Economy 2. Economy with extra keg room 3. Standard economy with empty seat alongside I'm starting to lean to option 3, as the immovable arm rests annoy me on options 1 and 2. Food is basically the same on all three. And there are smaller 8 row cabins in economy if you choose carefully and look at the seat configuration in advance Option 1 premium, the prices are starting to reach a level that just isn't worth it.

Anyone up to scratch on the rules of this. It seems well acknowledged we need roughly 35m by the end of this month to avoid another PSR breach. 10m chunk now bitten off via Enzo. So this 25m. What if we sell nobody, but 'advance' ourselves (as per) some TV money via Macquarie? Or advance ourselves a future transfer of a player (effectively selling the player to Macquarie) .....will that work? What if we dont sell AND dont buy a d choose to go with what we've got. Soumare, Victor, KDH, JJ, Souttar etc. Would avoiding any outlay help us at all?

Great to see the hovis munchers bummed alive -
I was the other way around. I liked his work with us, albeit mystified by his selection decisions in cup games. Yet, I have heard from a good source that the dressing room were totally bemused by him. He'd walk in to the dressing room after a defeat looking at stats and mumbles 'well played'. That was the extent of a debrief. A very contradictory and enigmatic reign.
-
Hardly read the thread but I'd be surprised if there's spite. Most are ambivalent right? Or maybe even slightly pleased. It's the first - maybe only - managerial change I've known following City where it suits all parties. He's done well and so have we.
-
Good thing apart from if they get, say, 5% of the vote they get one or two seats instead of the 15-20 they deserve. With an absolute passion I despise the fptp system designed only for two parties.
-
He had a strange second half to the season. He absolutely won us games prior to Xmas. Mid second half game changing saves at Swansea away after a Ricardo howler at 1-1 .... Blackburn away at 1-1. Cov at home when Hadji went 1 on 1 to out them into an unassailable two goal lead. But those big big saves seemed to dry up after January
-
He did his job. He'll be fondly remembered. Left while the going was.good. We get 8m for a manager that we probably had a 75% chance of sacking next season Everyone wins.
-
Agree. As you point out, not as a RB tho..Centre mid in a two ...or right.attscking mid (Wilf role)
-
Some great points there. JJ at RB and VK at overlapping LB is a delicious thought. Fatawu can tuck in when JJ goes forward. Im relishing a.conventional system that plays to our strengths. Personally, I'd still.lead with Vesty at the back and look to upgrade on Wout Faes. Still think a double pivot of Hamza (energy, snap and recovery runs) and Winks (recycling and positioning) could do a very respectable job. Edit. Basically,.I can't wait to.move.on from Enzo's system. I think it's spent. Edit edit. Bizarre view of the night. I'd cash in on Hermansen and go with Stolarcyk.

😂 On that basis we need to be worried about Pardew, Woy and Big Sam

Helluva a gamble at PL level, but Danny Roehl at Sheffield Wednesday did an insane job for six months to turn that shower of shite around
