  1. These sorts of games need a fleet of coaches.. 50.odd coaches looks after 2000 people
  2. No coincidence....he's colossal at this level
  3. Was thinking the same that I should support an ambitious chef..good to see others have enjoyed it there
  4. Despite the absolute scandals that have cost us 5 points at Leeds and Ipswich, I prefer that to VAR.
  5. Ideally yes, but obvs the practicality rules that out tbf
  6. Reckon that was one last hurrah for a certain generation, a certain demographic. There was 500 of us there, right? About 15 people wearing colours (potential suicide doing so) ....but I reckon 350 of that were male, 50 - 65 and originally from places like Eyres Monsell, Thurnby Lodge and the Saff. Was defo a 'throwback Thursday'
  7. If VARbl was never seen again the Cup, ours goes down like that Blackpool (or Bolton) header that bundled the keeper in the net. Just a wired thing that happens in the past. To me it's like the 100m final being run, but the heats being done over varying distances, 97m, 103m etc. or cricket final based on 40 overs but one semi a. T20 and the other a 50 over. You shouldn't have a competition with different rules from game to game.
  8. Yeah useful if you live blaby whetstone Cosby way but not so anywhere else Edit, on other themes, the FA would do themselves so many favours with supporters if they moved the semis to club grounds again. Spurs or Arsenal for the south and Etihad and the new Everton stadium in the north. Villa Park still ticks boxes too. And, most of all, dump VAR for the FA Cup. How on earth they can justify a competition that has different rules in different games is staggering. Fans would love the retro vibe.
  9. Anyone been to restaurant two six three behind high cross? Looks high end
  10. My childhood it seemed to be permanently showing The Elephant Man, Scanners and the Exterminator.
  11. That's what hell have submitted to the court to minimise his fine. Probs net, after tax and pension (which for footballers are usually huge) contributions.
  12. I hope you get the feeling i got matey. I didn't go but as the teams came out on TV, a complete full house at the olimpico, flags flares....I was like, wow, they take this and us seriously. It still blows my mind that other teams outside of UK really respect you.
  13. We played Rennes, PSV and Roma! Lol... perfectly standard and well respected European brands. Feyenoord V Roma was a final with higher pedigree than Rangers v Eintracht. as someone else said, West Ham played garbage right up until the final
  14. Ruling out deflections too ideally
  15. City will be going all out to demand the minimum allocation. Keep your fingers crossed!
  16. It's wide open for us. And others tbf. Could do with the Geordies beating the citizens (their correct nickname) and Man Un beating Liverpool and, if so, basically,.the Cup is ours.
  17. It's a real heavyweight last 8. All decent names. There's usually 2 or 3 boring bastards who somehow scramble through. You could shake up the draw any which way and there's four really big games. Thought we'd forfeited last night's match when I've fancied us since the start that we could be first team since west ham to win this from the second tier. We're top 15 PL ability. There's absolutely no reason why wolves or even Chelsea have any better odds than we do, yet they'll both still fancy this.
  18. I'm not surprised last night was good - uur fanbase has always been flat track bullies. Big fish in small pond. Not new. It's generational. Famous away ends of the past are littered of us dominating small clubs. Oxford. Southend. Hereford. Notts County. Wimbledon league cup semi. Orient.
  19. Easiest game left. Absolute garbage
  20. Deary me
  21. Fourth cold this winter so far. One of them lasted 2.5 weeks in January. Two busy days travelling for work then I need to take a day or two off (again, 2 already taken this year) as these two days are gonna lay me low.... previously had no sick days in five years.
  22. All of them at Manchester free trade hall to see the sex pistols too!
  23. Mini league of 12 games now between three teams and a fourth. We've been given a 6 point headstart. And given the best players in the division. In that mini group, we only need to finish second of four to go up. We could even finish third or fourth of the group and still go up. If we blow it, we have the play offs as a backstop. We'll be fine, won't we? 😶
  24. We missed out earlier this season v Sheffield and West Brom in not bringing on Souttar when they were both lumping it in. The next game, Enzo did actually do it and had Souttar for the last 10
  25. The subs were poor.. Praet to be used as he can accept the ball in tight spots, is strong enough to hold off challenges and therefore win easy free kicks. He could vene been used as a false 9, as Enzo has tried before If one of the wingers were tired, yes, Albrighton to sit on wing, relative deep and hit longer crossfield balls to switch play I never like subbing centre halves, as it's so pivotal, but I'm hindsight having Coady who'd been analysing the game from the bench would've been a big bonus
