  1. Agree. That's the system's fault, not his as such.. I think we agree on your original point - he played as well as you'd reasonably ask him to, but isn't Kyle walker and is unfair to ask him to be so
  2. I get that, but thought Hamza was - again - very decent
  3. I'm a big big advocate of Faes, but he's been a disaster of late and needs dropping, and quick.
  4. We've had so e shocking decisions this season, but that wasnt one of them
  5. That second half papers over things a bit.. The system is a shambles ATM, exaggerated by selecting the wrong personnel
  6. Even the commentators can see all you have to do is stick it in the channels with this set up. It's excruciating.
  7. The tactics of not playing full backs - particularly when we have Ricky, JJ and another out on loan, is looking increasingly bizarre I called it early season. Kept schtumm as you can't argue with results. But once the results dry up, it's all there to see
  8. Totally expected. But he's been hi g out to dry. What a dreadful decision to play no pace at the back
  9. Doyle? He'll get eaten alive
  10. I kinda cheered Cov tho yesterday. How much if a rival can they be that I was pleased they got a deserved win? If it was forest, the more agonising, the more undeserved, the more scandalous a defeat the better. I will, I plead, I beg that only misery (and ideally dissolvement) is heaped on that filth
  11. Fella at work last week tried the ol' 'we only care about forest' routine. Agonising. I'm afraid I rallied the office (non Leicester fans, generally under 30) in a fit if organised bullying as they queued up, corralled by me, to agree that Derby were, nationally, a complete non entity. His protestatuons that they had a decent six year spell in the PL in the 90s and early 2000s didn't seem to impress them.
  12. Haha, fair play. You lot have been diabolical for 25 years or so. 25 years worth of luck all bundled up into one season. Enjoy it.
  13. I wouldn't mind as much but Ipswich are crap. Crap players, playing crap, winning crap. It's hugely annoying.
  14. Fair enough. But I won't spend a penny on improving Nottingham's economy, even if my life depended on it
  15. Yup, I've noticed that too. Quite a few times first half if the season he pulled a rabbit out the hat and bailed us out at a critical time. Cov at home. Blackburn and Swansea away. That just seems to have dried up a bit. He's let in some fairly routine goals, not at fault, but not saved us either
  16. It's a bit annoying that a major global chain gets the vote, but the burgers are literally mouthwatering. Even better, they look very modest but absolutely fill you up
  17. Anyone know when City started to despise its own supporters? I can't think beyond the charity shield, when the club did everything they possibly could to avoid selling tickets to that, and pumped the entire machine in favour of Villarreal friendly tickets at home. It was dripping hatred for the fans from that day forth. Or were the incidents prior? Edit; certainly wasn't there for the first charity shield, when we shifted 36k tickets absolutely hassle free Edit edit; the nadir must've been the European campaign after charity shield win, where in Warsaw the club would've happily driven the 500 to Auschwitz and gassed us
  18. We have a precedent from the 80s and 90s.. Leicester United, Shepshed and Hinckley Athletic were the three main teams. United's crowds were appalling. 100-300. Leicester is (sounds counter intuitive) too big to support a non league team. In those days, the senior league was well supported. Oadby, Wigston Town, Friar Lane, Highfield Rangers, Birstall, Anstey Nomads and out of town Ibstock, Stapenhill would all pull in 100-200 each. Shepshed and Hinckley had whole towns behind them and would vary from 200-500. Fwiw, I think the Dovecote at Shepshed is nigh on non league.ground perfection..I guess they've been usurped by Coalville nowadays though.
  19. I'm going, at best /worst Saints 95 (w 7, lose 2, D1) best case Farmers 98 (w6 D2 L1) best case Leeds 101 (W7, D1, L1) best case Us 98 (w5, D2, L2) worst case On that, we go up on GD. Worst case. But still think deep down we'll pull away
  20. I tend to agree. If I were an outsider looking in, I'd think, they're wobbling but will pick up a couple on the spin somehow and then cruise thought the last four or five games. We'll go up. As champions. And I'll happily lose some bet money
  21. Good points and good to hear. Generally Europe, but states, Japan too. Tomdo.liat far flung are South Africa, Argentina/Chile....but warming to south east Asia, which I've avoided til now for, being honest, the cliches that go with SE Asia and middle ahed westerners
  22. Interesting...your points and that of @fuchsntf and @grobyfox1990 I still have that appalling image burned into me of leprosy victims on skateboards, pollution, traffic chaos toxic rivers ....this isn't meant to be offensive. Just I suppose like how others think it rains in UK all the time. A clichéd view
  23. Of all the places in the world, India appeals to me right at the very end of the list. Maybe it's.living in Leicester and Indian culture being so embedded that it does t seem foreign. But, you seem to know your stuff....what's the attraction about it? I must be missing out on something
  24. Anyone else totally unconcerned/uninterested about this? I don't mean in the vein of 'so uninterested why are you in this thread?' type thing. I just cba to worry over something that's down the road But gimme a.choice right now of promotion and sell players and 10 points deduction versus staying in championship (even without points deduction)....I'll take the promotion hit all day
