  1. I'm his biggest critic but he's done well. Would still play VK for his physique. But he's done ok .
  2. Seriously, why the devotion to this guy? I admit, I detested him even before he joined us. So my comments are largely way too jaundiced. But if he came in, and we won every week 4-0, I'd back down and admit defeat. Instead, he lubes us up to get bummed every week yet many fans just dig in, and are entrenched to defend him. Is it some kind of Stockholm syndrome,?
  3. Yes we do. The alternative players and tactics will still get us relegated....but at least they won't be Ayew and BdcR
  4. I'd imagine Ayew and BdcR travelled on Bus 1 with the rest of their generation
  5. It's striking that just about the only man on earth who wanted to sign these players - Cooper - after two games himself never played these prize nanas together. BdcR jettisoned completely and Ayew largely relegated to bench
  6. Well at least the Dutchman's simps like @Dahnsouff will be happy watching Ayew and Reid stats they will sit there mentally brushing his cashmere, manscaping his stubble, and cooing 'oooo he used to play for Man U' Meanwhile the rest of us have to watch us get overrun in midfield as per,.just this time Wilf instead of winks. And get stuffed 4-0.
  7. It'll be the usual. Man U do absolutely nothing, xG of about 0.001.... but score a worldie after 10 mins and a worldie after 70 mins and top it off with an easy tap in on 80.
  8. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day... The stats freaks are winning tbf....all can sit back and marvel at the Dutchman playing BdcR, Ayew, Vards and losing feebly 4-0 most weeks. And not even bother to try new things and new players. Enjoy it while it lasts fella.
  9. I love the fact that poor old Facundo gets the bird for trying things. Vards bless him takes literally zero part in the game. He literally contributes nothing for 95% if the game. But, as such, doesn't give the ball away (assuming being flagged offside every time we attack counts as losing the ball) Same as BdcR. Who simply isn't good enough, strong enough or fast enough to involve himself in the game. But lays off a 5 yard pass to Bilal who goes on to score a worldie... etc voilà! An assist! The dutxhman effectively plays a system with nine workers (one of which is Ayew) + two 'luxury' players with BdcR and vards ....and the statbusters blame it all on this lad.
  10. Yeah, but you lose the cool credentials by admitting the blindingly obvious. Some red pill blue pill garbage at a guess. I'm all for metrics in football. That players have certain kois to hit....distance covered, recovery runs, progressive passes or whatever....but to base your opinion of a player on stats alone is lunacy - particularly when the stats show us being collectively destroyed week in, week out
  11. The end was Middlesbrough away 2003, 3-3. Frank. The beggining was Bolton at home, 5-3 Lloyd dyer..could've easily been 10-3. The middle was coasting to victory away at Newcastle 3-0 without breaking sweat. Hamza, Perez, Madders
  12. Meanwhile in Leicester..... Whelan's dream;
  13. Fair play to you pal. You enjoy your stays based Dutch football watching us being bummed alive every week (except for spurs youth team,)....I don't find it as entertaining meself
  14. Gets on my pip that this Buonnotte isn't as good as we think had become like a hipster badge. No doubt the same punters talk passionately about Dukla Prague's away kit too.. Idgaf what the stats say, it what formation we play or even how often he gives the ball away (which is a myth anyway, come about from Fulham where the lad desperately tried any trick to spark some life into a dead game) .....he is absolutely miles and miles better than Bob Reid mincing about doing zilch and Ayew holding the ball up, slowing the game down, looking for a foul and - at best - passing the ball back to the centre half
  15. I was more referencing that when he joined, they hoofed kicked and shithoused their way to staying up. Proper ugly.. But after that initial phase, it gave him the platform to impose a different style. Basically point is, he works with what he's got. Unlike our fella and most other top flight managers
  16. Heartening to see Ward rooted to the spot as per. This time against a shot from an 11 year old boy.
  17. Rodgers publicly used the phrase 'it's not what was advertised in the brochure'
  18. A lost art. Best recent example is Eddie Howe who got Newcastle booting and hoofing their way to safety....and then transitioned the seamlessly into what they are now.. Needs must sometimes
  19. Exactly this.. There can't be much doubt that Rudkin is a 'football man'. It's his (lack of) business acumen that's the problem.
  20. Here we go. Knew it was all a bit too good Yorkshire sold their 51% stake in whatever their team is called. Why? Thought the hundred was a counties thing that just happened to be played at the test grounds? That 51% stake should be owned by all 18 counties too, not just host county. Yorks have been gifted the opportunity to wipe away their debt in one quick sale of an imaginary team
  21. The workload placed on winks and Soumare /Winks + Skipp / wilf + Winks or any other combo is simply too much. Pointless calling them blind. They can't do it. They all need a third person to enhance their own skills and limit exposure to thier weaknesses. As the post above says, two of our better performances - Villa and Palace - came with a winks, Wilf, Skipp triumvirate.
  22. Hallelujah. Somebody gets it.
  23. I'm gonna guess that there's a direct correlation between Puel haters - an easy 75% of our support. And those on here who masturbated themselves to a near coma when Cashmere man got the job. Probs an easy 75% Fans have never been a reliable judge of football character.
  24. Yup, the yanks who consider themselves cultured and do 'real' Europe tend to tick off Pisa, Venice, Prague and Amsterdam/Edinburgh etc voila! Europe done! (Tbf, no difference to us doing a Bangkok, Singapore and a beach week in Sri Lanka....that's it, Asia done!)
  25. How many times this been covered. Pearson was appointed again thanks to Birch. Yes, the Birch. That was pre Rudkin. Ranieri, Puel, Rodgers, Smith, Maresca, Cooper, The Dutchman were agent CVs landing in Rudkin's inbox. Like Jesse Marsch's did, but he got cold feet. Unless Rudkin and Top are spoon fed manager, they don't know what to do.
