We’ve really got to get an unexpected win. I’m not totally giving up until after the January window, because that can have a huge impact on the season. But, it’s the alignment and disillusion within the club I worry about, we’re not aligned, unlike Ipswich who are all fighting for one another, and we seemingly aren’t, as a club we’re just sailing with no direction.

Spot on. And this is why Ipswich and wolves will likely survive and we won’t. There’s now an established disconnect between the fans and the club, it’s like a husband and wife divorcing but choosing to live together for the kids… we are a dysfunctional family and are in desperate need of a clear out and refresh…. The likelihood is that we’re about to do a Southampton, we’re heading for league one in my opinion (if we go down) so now’s the opportunity for Top to really assess what he wants from this club, or even does he want it anymore…… we’ve seen the result of poor leadership, it just doesn’t end well for clubs of our size, but the sheer amount of money we have pouring out of this club, another series of poor decisions could finish us off. The ownership appears not to be interested, the fans are disconnected and the squad is substandard…… the worst part about all of it, is Vardy’s career with us is likely to have an unsavoury end, not befitting of what he has delivered for this club. He should have taken himself off to Saudi or America in the summer and earned himself a nice wedge ready for retirement, his departure from the club would have been on a high…… Our problem is nothing is being resolved, we just appear to be patching up bad decisions as we go, and eventually all of that comes catching up to you. We could do with an masterclass from Brighton on how to run a football club.

I think you’re spot on. It is a kind of therapy, it’s almost like an acceptance that the individual has all but given up on the club….. it’s a combination of catastrophizing, and mental filtering…. The loss the Wolves triggered it, then our further two losses compounded it, then other teams around you pick up unlikely results and the whole thing feels like it’s spiralling out of control…… for some the season is over, the R letter is next to our name already and we are down. So they will naturally sink further into the football depression and just predict every week we are heading for a battering. But I think we’ve been like this for a while, even when we’ve been doing well we’ve always had a fear that we will throw things away. We are all vulnerable…. Instead of free beers we should be getting free therapy to remedy the trauma this football club is causing us all.

I hope Top takes a long hard look at the table this morning, and last nights affairs. When will he finally realise he needs to re structure his board? Or is it something he simply doesn’t care about any more? Vichai’s dream is in tatters, and the club are facing a journey on perilous waters going forward….. Does he actually care about this project anymore? Or is he just simply dragging it along because it’s a piece of his father that he doesn’t want to let go of?

Seasons finished today has it?

Three weeks ago many suggested Wolves were done….. If we can string some results together, it all changes again.

Because they haven’t been better than us. We’ve all been as bad as one another.

Cooper managed to destroy all progress Ade last season. Staggering really.

We’ve got a January window to get through. There’s a series of games coming up that we stand a better chance of getting results from… like I said, the last few weeks may seem a disaster, but we need to take advantage of our “easier” run of games.

Who have been better than us? Ipswich? The team that have been below us until this point?

Shouldn’t have lost to wolves. The decision to play Ward has really hurt us……..

This weekend doesn’t seal it. We’ve still got to play all of the teams around us and a win against Villa could lift us out….. Plenty left to go.

The way this league is going, I would t out it past United to sack him and come for Ruud.

Surely if it’s two weeks, theres nothing they can do? Surely they will have to wait until we have been a PL team for an amount of time? I fully expect them to announce we’ve breached though regardless of the rules.

Summed up perfectly, what I was trying to suggest was the Man City performance has given me hope. Yes there are still glaring weaknesses, and we dominated the game and should have done a lot better, if we had played like that against Southampton for example and had lost, we would all be raging. What I like though, is there’s a clear plan now, Ruud is starting to implement his style of play, we just need a decent window in January, a couple of good signings could see us right, and I think will ultimately be the difference again.

I mean it’s a very Leicester thing to do, spaff £25m on one player when we need several.
