  1. Agree 100%.
  2. Enzo ball in its entirety would have been a disaster… Cooper said it himself he wanted to make minor adjustments to what we saw last season, but he wasn’t changing a great deal. If there was one thing to keep working on from last season it was the wingers…. We were excellent in 1 v 1 situations last season, but this season we’ve completely abandoned that, and we’ve actually got the player profiles to still be able to do that. Also the wingbacks are being deployed completely incorrectly, Cooper seems to want to have one full back attack and one tuck inside almost as a third CB, but chooses the wrong ones for each job. I can’t see it turning, it’s not just one or two players though, collectively you can see that they aren’t working together, this a team only 6 months or so ago were rigid in their approach…. I know we’re in a different league, but to go from looking like a team, to a bunch of individuals in a few months I very concerning.
  3. There shouldn’t be any excuses when facing a league 2 team, even playing badly you should be able to see them off comfortably. The difference I can see between scenarios like MON, and latterly Pearson, is you could see what the team were trying to do, you could identify some form of plan. Sometimes it takes time to click into place and when it does you should start to see some positive results. At the moment there doesn’t appear to be a plan, it seems like Cooper is just kicking 11 players out and letting them figure it out for themselves. There’s a couple of reasons why this is: 1. The players don’t understand what he wants from them, which I find unlikely. 2. The players just aren’t on board with what he is trying to do. And if the latter is the case, then there’s not a lot that can be done about it, if the majority of the players aren’t into his style it won’t click, unless he makes wholesale changes and they no know different. He's changed so much of what made us good last season, whereas you can’t get promoted and play entirely the same way (as Southampton and Ipswich are finding out) you want to at least keep the good parts of your game and adapt other parts. At the moment as @StriderHiryu has pointed out, we’ve completely gone away from what made us productive last season, and pretty much stifled our attack…..
  4. Thing is we weren’t playing badly under Pearson. Something just wasn't clicking, and then it did…. Here you can just tell the players aren’t having him, there’s zero cohesion at all, and no evidence of a plan.
  5. You’re spot on. I genuinely don’t think Coopers a bad coach (even though I might say it after we lose) but it’s just not working here. I think a massive contribution is Enzo being so different from Cooper, Enzo unified the team, and the majority seemed to be pulling in the same directions…. Cooper just hasn’t had the same impact on the lads, you can tell they’re playing with no belief in his system, and I think it’s always sad because it’s pretty much over before it even starts. You can tell he’s swimming against the current already.
  6. Generally they’ve got it right. You’ve got to take the decisions they’ve made after Milan I’d say. Pearson’s re appointment was the right call. Claudio was the right call, Puel, despite the flack he gets actually assembled and excellent side, he just ran his course. Rodgers if probably the best we’ve ever had, again despite his sour ending we played the best football I’ve ever seen us play at times under him. Again, for one reason or another his time ran its course and Maresca was the right appointment…… Generally they get it right, Cooper appeared on paper to be a safe choice, he’s well liked and rated as a young coach, and due to the potential PSR issue we needed to be sensible financially, but he just hasn’t connected with the squad. They’re playing with no belief or understanding of whatever it is Cooper is trying to implement. It just isn’t working under him, and the longer this is allowed to go on the more toxic it will get. They need to learn from Brendan, he was given far too long, and it killed us…. History will repeat itself unless they act now.
  7. Do they? They’ve made more good appointments than bad in my opinion. Sousa and Cooper are the only two I’d say they’ve got wrong. Sven was just a laugh, and Dean Smith doesn’t really count because we were dead and buried by then.
  8. Buonanotte was trying too hard. I normally feel like that’s a tell tale sign that not everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet, when you’ve got one player trying to do everything and the others just strolling about. I do feel for Cooper, he comes across as genuinely nice bloke, he means well but he just doesn’t have a grasp on this squad for one reason or another.
  9. Someone tried it with Walker once, didn’t work.
  10. We still pay silly wages, and we’re still an attractive club for a decent manager. Potter would take it if the terms are right for him. As would Corberan. I also think Moyes would take the job too. Any young exciting manager would also take the job, as they will use Enzo as a benchmark. One thing our fans have got to stop doing is thinking we’re in the gutter because we’re not. The PSR issue for this season is no more, So there’s no excuses there. Any number of good coaches would want this job…
  11. Still think Enzo would have been better than this clown. At least we would have a style of play. Last night was as bad as it’s been for a long time. The players genuinely have no idea what to do, Cooper has no plan.
  12. He has to gone by the international break at the very latest, where we’re likely to be bottom bar other results. Wait any longer and we will be reliant on a miracle again. If the board couldn’t see the discord in the squad last night, then we may as well pack up and give up.
  13. You can’t post the table 5 games in….. we will be in the bottom three by Monday, then what?
  14. That would be a dream!
  15. Exactly this. There’s absolutely no evidence of a style of play. Cooper has no idea what to do with them. And it is painfully obvious the players aren’t having him. Only one player came of that pitch with a shred of respect and that was Buonanotte, because he tried. Never before have I seen Ricardo look disinterested, but he did tonight. Hopefully Top learns from his mistake with Rodgers…. But Cooper is done here, we are just going to leap from one disaster to another until he’s gone.
  16. More chance of looking at a priests hard drive and it being clean.
  17. They all looked like they couldn’t be ****ed bar Buonanotte. There’s no belief in that team whatsoever ever.
  18. “SPAGHETTI willy puller”
  19. Not a clue what he is doing. Not a clue what we are doing. I’ve seen more organisation between pigeons scrapping for chips in a park.
  20. 11 players who look like they’ve never met one another before. ****ing minging.
  21. Positives: Walsall are very shit at penalties.
  22. Hopefully tomorrow…. October is too late.
  23. Gloves on September? **** off Ayew.
