I agree. I think we will see a collapse at the weekend. Bournemouth are devastating on the break, and I can see us putting in one of those performances that really end a managers career, like we saw with Puel, and then with Rodgers (the final, final, final time)….. but this time I think the hierarchy will act. The signs were are seeing are all pointing towards a collapse, rather than an improvement, we’re on the verge of a tonking either than a win in my opinion. It’s just painful to watch because a lot of people can see it coming, we will be in the bottom three by the end of this weekend.

I predict 1-4 defeat, and Cooper gone by Sunday lunch time. -
Disagree with Villa. I thought they were pretty poor on the day, their two goals were a result of us making mistakes. Had we started the game more positively we may have got something out of it. But in the whole I agree with you! Results are papering over the cracks. I think Bournemouth will thrash us quite comfortably on Saturday, and it may well be the end for Cooper.

He’s genuinely better than Ayew, and that’s not getting carried away.
-
It’s gone wrong with Cooper 😂
-
Absolute piffle.

But we’re a newly promoted side!?!?!?!! O_o

I wonder if they were looking at Coopers stint with Swansea, where he tried to carry on Potters style. I can kind of understand why they went with Cooper, but he’s been a disaster thus far…. He’s proven that he’s utterly clueless as to what to do with us, because he said as you rightly pointed out, that he wasn’t changing much, yet he’s not even starting the players who were pivotal in what we did last season. That couple with the complete tactical cluster ****s V Palace and Everton just show that he hasn’t got a grip of this team. I don’t think he’s lost the dressing room, because I don’t think he’s ever really had it, it’s okay people dismissing articles suggesting a lack of harmony in the dressing room with some players, but there’s no smoke without fire. He’s clearly struggling and is clearly out of his depth.

Brussel will be sacked tomorrow

That’s essentially what I was getting at, as a collective we’re a better unit, individual talent is great, but if they’re all pulling in opposite directions then it doesn’t help you at all. I think sometimes we’re guilty of measuring “good” as individual technical ability, but we all know team spirit, good organisation and a sprinkling of talent can take you along way. Technically, Rodgers had a far better team, but towards the end of his tenure it just all fell apart.

Read my later post responding to the reply on my reasons.

Really? So why did those “better” players not keep us up? And I can’t wait for Cooper go get sacked and we instantly improve…..

So what I mean by squad being better is the overall balance of the team, is better considering the context of this current situation we’re in. That team was imbalanced, lacked motivation, and lacked any kind of cohesion. and let’s not forget got relegated rather pathetically… In terms of better, the dynamics within this squad and the overall balance is better. Under a proper coach, I think a combination in midfield is better, and we’ve actually got two wingers rather than one. I’m certain under a decent coach both Mavadidi and Fatawu can be as productive as Barnes was. The defence is largely the same with the addition of Okoli, and the strike force is the same with the addition of Edouard. Barnes, Maddison, Tielemans and Castagne may well be decent individuals, but that season they were largely hideous along with the rest of the team, but again how much of that was down to poor coaching? We’ve got some different profiles on the team now, who I like and think are decent players, and the overall balance of the team is a lot better than it was, problem is Cooper, he can’t get the balance right because he just hasn’t got a grip on this team.

We won’t win, not whilst Cooper is in charge. -
This is bollocks. Last season proves this team can be unified and all come together singing from the same hymn sheet. This squad is better than that team that got relegated in my opinion, it’s got a better balance to it. Our issue lay with the manager, he’s unable to get a grip on the side, and it just clearly isn’t working. This idea that there’s some deeply routed problem was out to bed last season, yes the board has made mistakes, but that’s what they are. Enzo has proven this squad is capable of being moulded with clear and concise leadership, Cooper seems to be incapable of achieving either with us.

It’s becoming more of a sports entertainment akin to WWE than sport. The magic of the game has long gone, I go because I love the club, but my love for the game is dwindling year on year…….
-
He’s had 3 or 4 games to turn it around and hasn’t. Bloke needs to go now.
-
I imagine we can yes. His contract won’t be like Brendan’s.
-
Palace and Everton raise a lot of red flags. Everton probably more so considering the decision not to isolate Young. Hideous.
-
I expect people not to think it was a good performance.
-
It’s not as black and white and “who’s got the better squad”, the problem with Cooper is he doesn’t maximise the potential in his squad. And I think it’s clear that he is not got a grip on this squad. Im sorry but how can you defend what he did against Everton? It’s possibly the worst tactical management I’ve seen for years…… deciding not to attack a 39 year old right footed winger playing at left back? Scandalous.

Arsenal vs Leicester City Tactical Analysis
Pliskin replied to StriderHiryu's topic in Leicester City Forum
Another good piece! Agree whole heartedly agree with your closing thoughts. I fear this result will paper over a few cracks, which seems odd when you’ve lost. But the reality of the situation is, Arsenal could have left the pitch with 10 goals if it wasn’t for Mads. It was generally awful, but for him. Arsenal are just an exceptional team, and we’re always going to win with the amount of chances they were creating, and the longer the game went on the more inevitable it was. This performance doesn’t change anything for me, Cooper is still a bad fit. -
We didn’t our goalkeeper was world class and kept them from scoring more than 4 goals. It could have been 10-2 and we wouldn’t have any complaints.

We will concede after about ten minutes, and will have to scramble back to get a 1-1 draw at best. Then the WhAt Do YoU ExPeCt, We ArE a Yo Yo ChAmPiOnShIp ClUb, brigade will be out in full force to defend this absolutely pickle we have as a manager. Another afternoon of painful football.
