Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
John12345 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
We should have gone all out for moyes when we had our chance. We won't know if we tried, but you kind of think he would have taken the job at the time, if we chucked enough money at him. Rvn good guy but lacks experience. -
Many spurs fans liked skipp and they are the most difficult bunch to please. He's decent in a functioning team which we ain't.
-
Maybe we could play ruud up front with vardy. Appointing rvn was a really big risk and I'd sack him and get in dyche and give him some of the window.
-
He was english with near on 100 premier league apps, he made the championship team of the season, he's not that bad of a player. Like everyone his confidence is probably gone, it seems like it was probably low anyway, with people always making fun of him. He's also playing in a bad team.

We have days left of the window. We bargain and we get no-one. -
Jordan Ayew Signs 2 year deal - Official

Initially I was disappointed by this signing probably due to his goal stats but having researched him , I'm actually looking forwards to having him. Apparently he's consistently one of the most fouled players in the league, can hold the ball up against anyone, the palace fans are pretty unanimous with thanking him for great service, and many use words like absolute pest of a player. I think the manager has been quite shrewd in getting this experienced PL player and will use him very tactically. And as many say, we aren't able to go and get a big name or dont really wanna drop 20m on an unproven foreigner like we used to. -
Enzo Out? Time for an official thread/poll
John12345 replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
I actually think there's a fair chance he might get sacked. There's a week before the next game. I mean we are shit or bust and need to get back into the PL. And if we keep Enzo we aren't finishing ahead of Leeds and Ipswich, nor are we winning 3 Cup finals to get through the play offs. The board are not total fools and no PL means their own jobs and salaries aren't long term viable. He wasn't proven so he won't be on massive compensation. I wouldn't be so surprised if he goes and we get someone proven -
I'm listening to foxes fornicating in my garden as I write this at 1.50 AM...if we don't get promoted it will be such an anti climax. I really wonder what will happen. Would we just buy a few more players , Enzo stays and we repeat. You can't see it happening. It's a depressing prospect but morbidly interesting.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

I think we will go up. But the fact that we are not going to walk the league after all, and it is likely to bloody close run saddens me. It kind of tells me we probably arent good enough for the PL and without a ton of investment which we might not have, we will be scrapping it out again and the golden days are probably over. -
Normally I'd agree with those posters who think it's time to forgive and forget Brendan. I mean most football managers mess things up and get the sack eventually. But the awfulness of the man makes it hard to shrug off. I think its just human nature to "detest" him and probably a healthy response to have to another human so bad. As long as you don't resort to more than momentary rants etc.
-
At the risk of stating the obvious, we need to go on a good run. As I believe the others who arent that good , will drop points, and we can open up our lead again. Obviously if the opposite happens and it becomes a dog fight , changing week by week, I doubt we will go up as champions as we probably won't have the nerve.

Middlesbrough (H) 1-2 - Post-Match Thread

Vardys goal was class. -
He's a very good footballer. Couldn't get in over Rio and Vidic as they were the best CBs in the world but everywhere else he's excelled. I'm willing to cut him some slack for the latter part of his time here as Brendan rubbished everything.

Leicester City 3-0 Preston North End - Post Match Thread

I haven't followed the championship for years. Is there normally a gulf like this between the best demoted team. I didn't think so. -
Good shout. He has to rebuild his career if he ever wants to be top bracket again. He's set himself back 5 years. Can't see him doing it. We all find our level.
-
He's a good player. Was just coached out of him by Rodgers and then it was too late. In general, I'd be amazed if the club do anything next year. Not least our best and decent players will be gone. They'll really need to land on their feet with a breathtaking manager appointment who can revolutionise the club. Seems very unlikely.
-
Your right.
-
The owners of clubs and their top staff didn't get where they are from not being able to see the through used car salesman bullshit. Rodgers is no match for them and a busted flush. His only route back is consistent good performance. That will repair his reputation . Although the spectacularness of his failure probably will exclude him from the top table.

Back to Swansea or Reading you piece of 5hit.
-
Ric , can I just say that I do enjoy listening to you on the podcast. Anyway , onwards and upwards.
-
As we don't know what the executives were even saying to Top ,all we can say is rodgers was the cause , he and his agenda sabotaged the team. Top was a fool for not acting. Now he's suffering more than us. Having lost millions. Top is just the son of a billionaire. Seems like a nice guy but clearly a mug when it comes to business.

And not using Kelechi/Vardy well enough.

I often wonder where we'd be if he simply played iversen ,ihenacho, and soyuncu. Those were great failings.
