It would seem telling that Spurs and Chelsea don't seem to be in a rush to snap him up!

Your right it's just hard to believe we could be. 2 losses to Southampton! Thank god for that run before the world cup after Faes came in.

I'll eat my hat if we stay up. We don't deserve to.

To summarise Brendan Rodgers in a sentence; he put his own needs ahead of the club. It's interesting why he does it but when you look at the background and the little we hear about him it kind of paints a picture. Comes from humble beginnings (council estate I'm northern ireland) 102 property portfolio(2015) Divorce and image makeover Reports from former players (high sales bs with no substance) Interviews when the wheels were coming off here, blatantly misrepresenting issues The picture I get is someone that is deeply insecure , has achieved a lot of 'success' and will fight like an alley cat to protect this, no matter how weak the excuse may look to any reasonable person. It really is surprising how long he was given in the job, in reality his talent is only average. For those people that dislike him, it seems highly likely that he will fail in a similar way again as he is an average manager. What I find most confusing is why he didn't swallow pride and do some obvious things like drop ward , play to vardy's strengths, bring back Soy. Because not doing so got him the sack and he ended up looking worse, which is the antithesis of what he wants to do. Unless it is all about getting a pay off.

It's not the credit in the bank, of which he has more than any this season. Its the stupidity of the decision which very likely cost us 2 vital points and gave Everton 1. Also with a good win we'd have sky high confidence and be likely to nick another result or two and survive . Instead we have this purgatory and its a total lottery now with fortunes, jobs at stake etc. All because of a ridiculous needless decision. Maddison's own over inflated confidence caused him to take a trick penalty and to even think he could take it off Vardy in the first place . Prat. I don't blame him though. It's Smith's fault for not avoiding the whole issue and making Jamie the penalty taker.

Match Ratings: Leicester City 2-2 Everton - Vote Now

Football is a passionate game and right now I'm so het up. Vardy is a great penalty taker and flying. He would just smash it and 9/10 it would go in. We'd be 3 1 up before the break and close it out. Now it's in the lap of the gods. I can't tell you what a foolish stupid mistake it was. It was like Under 10s level. We gave the penalty to a very clever technical player he tried a trick and it backfired. It's like a £200m error. Or whatever they value Premier League survival at. -
I hope you are right my friend, I really do. They should have beaten us .
-
I think sadly it will be us leeds and soton. I think we will get 4 points but everton and forest will get 6. Unless smith can work out how to protect the defence more.
-
Their squad is just as good as ours, more or less. I think it will be a very difficult match. Coupled with the pressure, which will pkay a part. We need to play well.
-
With Kels fit I think we'd stay up. Without him it's very concerning. I guess someone else will play support to vardy. But I can see vardy getting injured if we overplay him. ****ing rotten luck.
-
For me he's probably the 3rd best footballer in our team behind Youri and James. Far superior to players like kdh ,ndidi , soumare. *Not Inc. Ricardo who has chronic injuries. One other skill he has is he can take the ball under pressure at key times in games, when the other team are pressing you etc. He lacks height but hes very stocky and in the modern game the slightest touch is a foul anyway. Another player misused by C**tface Rodgers.
-
One benefit of his reinstatement is it makes Rodgers look like the **** we all know he is.
-
Brendan rodgers is a cnut that works to his own agenda. We all know that. Of chemical imbalance level . So I'd like to see everyone inc vestegaard, soyuncu, kels, praet given another go playing in their best position. Appreciate hardly the time for this, but the sentiment should be there.

Dean Smith New Interim Manager - Official

Smith was also a no nonsense centre back and captain of leyton orient for years. Used to watch him. Not that it means a lot. But he will have an appreciation of defence and organisation. Like JT. -
Realistically, What’s our line-up come the opener 2023/24
John12345 replied to BigWesMorgan's topic in Leicester City Forum
I see us being sold. I don't think Top has the interest for a turnaround project requiring a lot of investment. So will want to get out whilst there is still value. Hopefully the 'brand' is still strong enough to receive a lot of interest from global billionaires. -
Is Jesse Marsch better than Rodgers ?
John12345 replied to RothleyFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
If its a disaster in the next games, he should have some kind of release clause. Well anyone sensible would have negotiated that! So maybe not for Leicester. -
Seems unlikely a big club would go in for him. That leaves the mid table. In that they are always 1 bad season away from relegation, you'd probably want a manager with a bit more than him. He wants world class players. I hope we've seen the last of him over here. Can't stand the bloke. Narcissistic ****.

Wellens running away with league2

Love to get Potter although I'm not sure we'd stay up . The players might need someone more punchy. He's a project man. Not sure we have the time.
-
It's just business. Take all the emotion out of it. They wrote the season off. Wanted to avoid the millions in compensation. Thought we'd finish 15th and he'd go for free in summer. Now they'll act as the gamble is going to go wrong otherwise. Well that's the only logical explanation. I think you'll see it within the next week.
-
I think he will get sacked today or certainly next week if we lose to villa. The people who run the club aren't that stupid and they'll see the cost of payout is less than certain relegation. Up to now they've been gambling but I think they've set a stop loss limit and we are now at that.

Mendy not superman, but an accomplished player in his position. Seldom gives ball away, pops it quickly, progressively, decent tackler, good attitude, good under pressure. Obviously not going to have physicality of Partey, or peak Wilf, but many others are due criticism before him. Also unlike most of the others, manages to perform IN SPITE of Rodgers.
-
We could well win a few games, stay up but keep Rodgers for another season. What a prospect. Might be the most likely too!
