  1. There may be some pressure from the SGSA along with local authorities, but we really have relatively low amounts of standing in the home end. The club maybe advised to install safe standing where those persistant standers are....it would be down to the club to then decide on what they will do. As many of us have said the chances of the club rolling out large safe standing areas is highly unlikely. There's a decent chance they will introduce it in those areas already has standers. For me the only way any change in atmosphere could happen is it the whole south stand to be deisginated safe standing, but proper safe standing not just a barrier. And also sell it as a place for singers to buy tickets. This is normal in the rest of the world but rare in England, and the club has shown very little interest in improving the atmosphere in the way the fans want.
  2. Zak Surety...can't say I've ever heard of him. Never made a quarter final before, now in the semi finals of a major tournament, guaranteed 22 grand. Surely he won't beat Higgins though. Pity Tom didn't get through, we could've had an all Leicester final.
  3. Yeah things seem a lot worse than they were, i suppose its not surprising we all know what english fans are up against. Even if they weren't oppressed at every turn i wonder if there's a real appetite for it in England?. But it's great to see it thriving north of the border, I expect that to continue, the scottish clubs seem much more open to it and see it as a great way to attract new fans. I expect great things in the scottish ultra scene over the next decade, practically every top division club already has a group, and all seem to be growing.
  4. The whole Trump popularity baffles me, a billionaire looking after another billionaire (musk) doing everything they can to look after all the other billionaires get's voted in by millions of americans who can't rub two pennies together.
  5. Looks like Rangers manager is about to get the sack.
  6. I hope if Luton do go down it won't scupper their new stadium, they've waited decades to get this far.
  7. It would have meant more if all those walking out protested outside the stadium rather just sulking off home, pretty much meaningless, 1000's leave early at practically every game when the scoreline is the same.
  8. No-one can save this squad from relegation.
  9. Alan smith was saying he couldn't believe what he was seeing, how easy it was for brentford, compared to a training session for them. Our players are either THAT bad or they don't care, maybe both. The championship is awful, our team are awful, we belong there, and I can't see this squad doing anything in that league either.
  10. Some of ours fans would applaud us getting relegated to the national league.
  11. mmmmm not so sure myself.
  12. Just happen to be listening to that very album.
  13. It was over before the 2nd leg kicked off.
  14. And they'll be praying Wrexham join them.
  15. Heartbreaking for Celtic, apparantly they're league 2 standard so must have been an incredible performance. It was almost heartbreaking for me as I had contemplated betting celtic at 17/1.
  16. Sad to hear the passing of rick buckler. I'm a huge The Jam fan. R.I.P.
  17. Some of the lettering on stands looks really awful though, but I do agree it needs something.
  18. It's hardly an issue though is it? The amount of time and resources spent on nonsense like this is bizarre. I wonder if thousands invade the pitch they'll arrest and drug test them all.
  19. There's no comparison, the olympic stadium was for athletics with little or no concept for it being turned into a football stadium, they've adapted it over the years but its still awful and it will always be that way, west ham are stuck with it. The everton stadium is purpose built for football, they've thought about sightlines, atmosphere etc...They have included 'safe standing' too, nice steep stands, fans close to the pitch. The everton fans have no excuses, if the atmosphere is poor then its the fans fault. One of the problems we have in this country is when a club moves there is no fan representation as far as how the seats are allocated. In the rest of europe and the US, when it comes to 'soccer' stadiums the fans have their say, the supporters groups always vie for position. So abroad in the new stadium you have no change in atmsophere because all the noisey fans have their end. In england we dont have that so if a group of fans in the old stadium move to a new one they are inveitably split up. The fact everton have a large safe stading area would (you'd hope) be the place where the noisier fans are likely to buy their tickets.
  20. Definately seems top be more investment and more interest though, things are brighter than they've ever been. Great ultra scene too.
