People losing their heads in the Twitter thread about Leeds, unaware it was originally set to be played midweek

Two goals against Huddersfield does tend to lead to cult hero status around here.

Between him and Winks, Abdul's passhunnn has gone a long way towards restoring my connection to my club. Man's like a labrador at the park, you can't help but love him. The only thing he's missing is is finishing at the moment. Reminds me of Lloyd Dyer - and he found his scoring boots eventually and was unplayable in our last promotion season!

I praised Daka's hold-up play in the second half against Rotherham. It's my fault, blame me.

Quid says we both get knocked out now you've said that.

Ipswich (A) 1 - 1 - Boxing Day - Post-Match Thread
OntarioFox replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
Crap subs, Casadei in particular showing why Chelsea are so easy to beat right now with another powderpuff display that wouldn't look out of place at Stamford Bridge. But hats off to Ipswich, showed today why they're so hard to beat, the tenacious sods. I think we saw the two promoted teams play today, which makes me happy knowing one of Leeds or Southampton, if not both, won't be joining us. -
This is a glorious day for Canada, and therefore the world.

I've honestly never seen a fanbase with a bigger 'perpetual victim' mentality, certainly not in this era. And yes, I include both Merseyside clubs in that equation. It's easy to have a skewed perspective given they're our local rivals, but even on neutral boards like Reddit it's constant. Seen plenty of Forest fans tie themselves into knots trying to explain why they're being targeted and ending up losing sympathy from neutrals.

Squeaky arse time for Ipswich, they'll only be seven points clear.

If there's one thing we've learned from this, it's that Anstey Nomads are indeed massive.
-
Can they have a whip-round for me? I'm skint and it's the least I deserve for the past 2 seasons.
-
So Rangers now 2 behind with a game in hand, and 2 goals from Celtic's GD? Should make the remaining Old Firm derbies interesting at least.
-
For sure - plus, we've now established a reputation as a possession team that tires teams out in a game of attrition. Hell, he's had his own masterclass episode where he said as much publicly. It is very promising to have seen in recent games that we can exploit naive attempts to beat the plan A through pressing and that we have counter attacking and even Route 1 (Daka vs. Plymouth) in our locker if needed. Though I do get the feeling that they won't be using the 'Justin hammering the ball against our own post' tactic again any time soon.

The end behind that goal is getting some proper abuse from our lads today, proper rustled 😂

Exactly why i moved to SK1 from L1! It was great in the 2013-17 seasons but after that it quickly descended into wannabe hard lads paying more attention to the away end than supporting the lads on the pitch. I don't miss the 'banter' one bit, it's just grown men comparing whose town is a bigger sh*thole and telling everyone north of Sheffield that Jimmy Saville is one of their own at this point.

We're playing a different way that doesn't rely on strikers for the goal threat, so I'm not going to get my knickers in a twist that none of our frontmen are bagging a brace week in week out. It's been hugely refreshing in fact to see us with threats all over the pitch - wide men, midfielders and even centre backs chipping in regularly. That will be big for us if we go up - you absolutely can't be over-reliant on one position for your goals, because top flight sides will spot it, nullify it and leave you rudderless. That said, on recent form I think Daka merits being first choice up top. He's started both games slowly but certainly in the second half I've been quite happy with his general play, getting stuck in and doing some of the dirty work / link up play I've lauded Nacho for in the past quite well. We will see Cannon start a fair bit during AFCON. Hopefully Vardy is fit by then. But for now, Patson should start games.

So that's one trophy for Rangers and none for Celtic so far? Great work on that treble eh?
-
Why set sights that low... 19 wins (or 18 and a draw) to break Reading's points record.
-
Well done Norwich

Lovely stuff, just need one of Luton or Burnley to start picking up wins now and nature will begin to heal.

Please send a two-four of old fashioned plains, they don't do them at Tims here. They just have to cover them with glaze like some Swedish porn star.
