  1. Multipurpose, brilliant!!! DOF during the week, centre halves on match day
  2. Looks like we're as committed to the ownership as they are to keeping us in the League
  3. Straight swap???
  4. Last time I went to Chelsea in the League I was in the Upper as well as the FA cup last year, have they opened any upper blocks yet? I'm on tomorrow
  5. Tell you what though, they have left a forlorn hope to RVN to get a Championship level squad to stay up, harsh. In 6-8 games we will be adrift of Wolves and they SHOULD start planning their clearout and transfer in strategy for next season, so they can be bought beg July and we hit the straps as soon as the season starts.
  6. So the way that fans in their rose tinted spectacles extrapolate that they have lost 7 in 8 games for example suddenly turn that into the next 3 games getting 6pts etc. We are where we are coz they repeatedly and constantly didn't recruit well, past performance DOES TEND to be reflective of future performance I mean who of us seriously trusts them now?????? My mates always have said over the last few years, lets stay in the pub, home and away, the Football spoils the day, well thats going to be the case for the rest of this season. We're there for the social, NOT the product or any level of success.
  7. WHY did the fans know???? And the purse strings didn't?
  8. he wasn't the right man for the job, didn't have the right CV BUT I do feel some genuine sympathy for him from what has happened over the last 34 days. He's been given no chance with a Championship level squad that can't defend.
  9. Its their repeated poor financial decision making that has got us into this mess, the club never came first OR they would have said no to some of these car crash transfers and wages. Daka, Bertrand, Vesty TWICE , Faes, Kristensen, Edouard, Choudry multiple times, Skipp Anyway, can somebody tell me, why did we actually sack Cooper? Does anybody know the actual reason, the players obviously hated him (re Copenhagen) but in the interim period they have proved to be spineless, gutless, qualityless & useless. Haven't seen Winks drag us to safety since, maybe he should say less and I'm a big fan. AND because we'll go down, like Maddison & Barnes, they'll lose £5 to £10m on Mads, coz it'll be a fire sale, so I won't have been the best financial decision. Ineptitude of the highest order, sleepwalking into laying waste to the club. As fans we invest time, effort, money and most importantly enormous amounts of emotion into supporting our club, the highs bring us genuine pleasure, families connecting and sharing these moments. These guys are paid or gain kudos from "success", the League and Cup were one offs BUT after 8 successive top flight seasons there is no entitlement to think if we got things relatively right that we couldn't continue to finish somewhere between 7th & 17th, that leaves room for manoeuvre. THEY - nobody else have turned us from a comfortable PL team to a yo yo club. I hoped they had learned when we were promoted but WHAT a disaster was the summer window AGAIN, along with the Vesty & Choudry contracts.
  10. Sadly its a tough school and you don't get much time from anybody, Cooper had twelve games (though it was a bad decision in the first place), Khusanov didn't play Sunday after his howler vs Chelsea. For me Okoli looks off the pace in the PL, but yes the other two are just disasters now, and his play on the ball looks awful currently, but he's worth a chance as he's staying. This'll be a bigger recovery than the Great Escape if we stay up, if things go badly over the next 8-10 games and we fall away, I'd start to find next seasons partnerships and units.
  11. Its just been an ongoing catalogue of errors post the FA Cup win. Letting Brendan spit the dummy when he didn't get the players he wanted, sleepwalking into relegation when we shouldn't have gone down. In the meantime playing Russion roulette with crap signings, big contracts, lack of quality and PSR. Bouncing back last year but probably cheating our way to it. Having the beggars bowl out for Cooper, we'll never know who was responsible for the worst transfer window for a long time with a Skipp we didn't need, BDCR with no real quality, and Edouard who might never play and cost a shedload, so putting us at this January's last chance saloon. Their stupidity meant that we had no chance of getting anyone in after they sat through Saturday and saw how truly shocking we currently are, and are not a side capable of playing and winning at this level, and still do Nothing. They could have still given us a chance and CHOSE NOT to. Totally disengaged now and apathetic and can't be arsed with the championship, IDIOTS.
  12. So according to my maths there is 3 days to go, 1 of the 5 alleged transfers is in. Is this the most disappointing transfer window we have EVER had?? Our league survival is almost certainly dependent on new blood, and it doesn't look like its arriving and even if it does, it missed winnable games against Palace, Fulham, & Everton tomorrow. And even if something does happen now, will we miss the fax machine again????? Just REALLY depressing and disappointing AND they couldn't even get rid of Edouard
  13. Borderline to go as Friday night, B team, live terrestrial TV & we’ll lose. But when it’s borderline and the pricing is a wind up, well that swings non attendance
  14. Totally right keeping it in the pocket, Chuffing Skipp, the point??? BDCR??? Edouard????? They didn't make any difference to the points we have now.
  15. If Ruud does walk, they will start to struggle to attract quality managers, look we had 3 goes at Potter, and maybe a few at Moyes? Looking like they are starting to get a bad reputation, not just from the fans. Sure Enzo isn't totally positive.
  16. If he walks won't be bothered, he's not the man for this particular half season, that was Moyes and we missed that boat, though would settle for Dyche in till the end of the season, that side needs some backside kicking big time. But most importantly it will bring to the wider audience what a farce, mess and comedy show it is at the KP, and Top will be exposed along with the muppet Rudkin, and just out of interest what is Martin Glover doing/does??? That might be outed too.
  17. I’ve been on both sides of the fence here as I became an STH in 15/16. And a member the season before. So it took me a number of seasons to bridge the 50pt Home ST benefit & I missed the Cup final as a result, where I’d been to 20-30 away games BUT still had less than somebody who had ONLY been to home games & the 1st Community Shield. So it shows how it skewed to Home STH renewer. These are priority for AWAY games, so if you do actually get to an Away game make it more valuable, than home, more cost, more effort etc. So each A game should be worth let’s say 3pts each or even 4, so they are more valuable than home points, or reduce the home points, that aren’t even an away reward. But it is a very contentious topic. But you have to do the hard yards, Millwall & Everton, Bournemouth, Preston, Liverpool, midweek, BristolC, Plymouth, Rome, Eindhoven etc. As @The Doctor says above. Ditch the home benefit or even them up or reduce its benefit, I’ve now been to about 60 Aways now and am into the 3rd category, but I have still never been to Brentford and would have to go to almost more than every away this season to move up an A group & I can’t. @FOXSE has some good suggestions too.
  18. Only put this on here coz some of the posters might be going: Really hoping to go to the Ashes in Dec/Jan. Have some apartments booked on cancellation, booking flights in the next couple of weeks, thing I am after is how to get tickets. Family Trip, the lad has somehow blagged 6 weeks off work, I'm stuck with 4-5 weeks so Adelaide onwards, he's going to Brisbane. Any nuggets, advice, insight, past experience greatly appreciated. I did go in 98 but was already in Asia backpacking & came from India, and guessing tickets were way way easier to get..... Yep any help much appreciated, this is also on the travel/holidays booked thread

  20. https://www.leicestercity.news/opinion/seven-figure-deal-sanctioned-by-leicester-city-owner-now-looks-like-a-complete-disaster/ QED, every fan knew it, but hey Top's not a fan If he had kept that in his pocket in Aug, that £20m could have kept us up now
  21. Won't affect us, we won't be in the PL
  22. That again shows poor planning, we look to have a Championship level striker, if the Board think we are going down, why sell, when we need him in 7 months and he will cost £15/20m to replace as Vardy will be gone if not Daka.
  23. If they buy nobody or very little OR very little quality between now and 3rd Feb, they given up on the team and club this year. WHY should we continue to financially support them For many of us LCFC is an important part of our life, we want it to be a subject of joy and happiness not something of negativity and disappointment, for many a release from many other things in their life. They won't listen to Rudkin out, or Sack the Board, they are impervious to that and I don't want a scripted apology in May, I want a TRUE mea culpa AND and open explanation as how in the next 1-3 years we are going to climb back to some level of competency and success (repeated top flight football), RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted (accept we won't get that) and Informed. So hit them in the pocket, IF all the above comes to pass for God's sake NO REPLICA shirts in the summer, I know peer pressure for the kids, grandkids, god knows what, BUT the larger the numbers the more the impact. Mid table championship mediocrity will make much of it a joyless experience for kids anyway. And YES your 1 pie Balti pie does make a difference if you have the choice, coz if 5,000 do that at a match, its not 1 but 5000. They do truly have the money to invest in this club to manage it better, they have just made bad decision after bad decision the last 3-4 years, and wasted that, legacy, goodwill and money. The players look unhappy, the fans and unhappy, its a mess. That is our way to at least make them think, as many are doing on a number of threads, it needs to be unanimous within the fan base and backed by numbers. Its our only method of somehow affecting change.
  24. So we look utter utter dross, there is nothing and no quality there now, BUT we are 1 win Yes 1 win away from being out of the bottom 3, with on paper almost as good a run in as we could hope for. Its a 4 horse probably 3 horse race for that 17th spot, come on Top help your club and manager out. Can't he just help us find something...........Or is he really as high up in our estimation as we are starting to think he is????? Harry Redknapp and others would have been out there wheeling and dealing now to do SOMETHING to help us find a few extra points.......SOMEWHERE
