What do the players say in the pre-match huddle?

Who do we play next?? When can we go to the beach? As all of us are already on holiday, we never came back from Copenhagen -
The 3 of us are down and unless there is a requisite number of times we have to be LIVE on TV then they will focus on the battle for ECL spots, title and relegation is finished.

Will you go to any more matches this season?
The boy Linacre replied to hejammy's topic in Leicester City Forum
Good philosophy, the football is what always spoils it, when its not goin well, "the day out" is the great release, mates, beer, talking shite, having a laugh. The club and their stonewall, non communicative approach are actually what make the current state of play so lacking fun for a big percentage. Though the bloke in front had a right old "bag on" at my lad on Sunday, when my lad said get on with the game, when he was injured "off the pitch", he was in the hands of the experts (medics), what was the ref waiting for??? So why did this guy have a gripe? But at least you'll get something out of a dire end to the season, enjoy, hope the weather is good at the B's -

Go to all the home games, but decided on the walk out of the ground, not to go to Wolves, had already decided not to go to Manc, we'll get battered and a Wednesday night & I would have driven, too hard for time off work. Brighton waste of a day in current form. Forest probably, BUT they'll be champions League and we will already be down AND they are SO Much better than us. Bournemouth BH weekend, good shout BUT the football will ruin it, might not get access to a ticket, apathetical. Who wants to go when everybody is annoyed at them, they don't score, half of them don't work hard or drop playing clangers, can't defend, can't finish and they can't stop the ball going in the next. 3 for 23 against since Jan 11th Jesus, here's the stat, last home League goal 8th Dec, Christ. -
Also “While we know things on the pitch have been disappointing this season, behind the scenes we have been working with the club to ensure fans’ experience at Leicester City beyond the football itself is improved. Why do we all go???? To emotionally engage, with family and friends with passion in backing our team. We'll be in/at the ground 2hrs max. Watch the team. REALLY hope they do well, show positivity, perhaps play some exciting, entertaining football, to take our minds from the other more mundane, frustrating, annoying things in life for a few hours. The queues for drinks and food are ludricrous, and nothing is improved over time or learnt or be done better, or modelled on other clubs that do it better, even with computerised systems. The ticket entry has been made slower and more onerous by digital ticket enforcement, its jarring now. BUT the action on the pitch is reaching disappointment of truly league record breaking historical levels, losses, goal scoring, that won't be offset by improvements beyond the football, there aren't many/any that I can see. Its about a modicum of relative football success. Don't sell us BS, focus and understand whats important to the fans. Like saying "we know things on the ship have been disappointing this voyage (Titanic), behind the scenes...they will be improved"
-
I don't mind the price freeze, have to say the digital ENFORCEMENT next season is my BIG ISSUE. I would love to know the percentage of STH that miss at least 1 game a season, where they want the choice to pass it on to family, friend, dog etc. And this makes it WAY harder. "The transition to Digital Tickets – which stands to make the sale, transfer and use of tickets more efficient and more secure for supporters and the Club – continues to be shaped by your . Your support and understanding are hugely appreciated as we continue to modernise the matchday experience at King Power Stadium." We are also continuing to work with the club to make it easier for season ticket holders to transfer, resell or donate their tickets when they can’t attend to minimise empty seats at games. Well you're not are you, the easiest thing in the world is, "I can't go, do you want my ticket for game x, here you go" Mind those queues at the gates, when security are explaining to a family of 4 how to use 1 phone for 4 tickets, as there is a queue of 200 behind you at 2.57pm & they continue to search everybody when they should be rushing everybody IN to the game. This is about control of the movement of those tickets and MONEY, chance to sell on like last night, except Wycombe & Wrexham won't be so attractive.
-
Pity the poor buggers going, midweek night & a battering. And lets just say we win coz they have 3 players sent off We'll still be 12pts behind Wolves by the time we start as Wolves beat Wet Spam @ home Tuesday night
-
Do they put us on their mantlepiece if they beat us 4 times???

The playing squad is a disgusting mess

Vestergaard & Choudry last season, renewed stupidly when performing at LOWER level, having failed at a HIGHER level REPEATEDLY -
My hope, not my expectation was that we would stay up, unless a bigger miracle happens than in 2015, we are going down in a more disappointing fashion than in 2023. Another thread listed Rudders 20+ cock ups over the last 5+ seasons. 35 months ago we were about to beat Eindhoven in the Netherlands and go to Rome. We are about to be relegated for a 2nd time since then. I think that is the likely result as I was at Fulham, Brentford & most embarrassingly West Ham. We can't score, we can't defend, its tough to get results from that base, however easy on paper we think the run in might be. When Enzo left what did Top and Rudkin hope for??? They employed Cooper (beggars couldn't be choosers), they spent £60m in almost total wastage, Skipp, Edouard, Michael Golding (who), BDCR, Ayew (are they both a real threat?). They sacked him, why??? They bought RVN in because "RVN's communication skills and charisma impressed the club's hierarchy, according to sources at United, they liked him from the outset, leading to his appointment at Leicester. "Top is expecting great things from Van Nistelrooy, signing him to a deal that runs until 2027." They must have known or guessed ALL ALONG, they had financially mismanaged the club OR they are deluded. Last time out 2023, he came out with this soundbite: "We share the loss and the pain of relegation together. But we will be back.” To them what did being back mean?? “Today we share the loss and the pain together. But we will be back. This responsibility that I continue to live is one of the greatest responsibilities in my life and I will continue to put everything into it – my passion, that of my family and the entire King Power community.” I think most of us would ask really???, The mistakes are one followed by another from last July, don't match up to those statements and "that supposed passion". I feel ambivalent now, frustrated at the wasted opportunity, the stupid decisions one on top of the other repeatedly, angry at the whole structure, the silence or acceptance of responsibility for the owners & decision makers, RVN's repeated interview BS as he sleepwalks through numerous games where we can't score, most of the players laying down their tools at the London Stadium. Having read Foxes talk since Christmas particularly I think I understand what most on here think. The big question I presume we will never find out as they never communicate is what did Top/Rudkin/the decision makers hope for from this season when Cooper joined/they spent £60m/they sacked Cooper/they employed RVN/they had a net spend of -£7m in Jan How did you deal with that responsibility? What did you hope for this season?

Season Ticket / Membership renewals for 25/26
The boy Linacre replied to skinnydipper's topic in Leicester City Forum
Nah, can't see it, that will really light the blue touchpaper. At the moment the discontent is coz we're crap and no direction or admission is being communicated. Financial knockbacks/increases, will really increase the groundswell and unhappiness. -
I'm with the 46%, Just right, AND its generally my means of watching what happened. Game length is about right 7-8 mins, manager interview, watch the ones I don't mind or have got the hump, FF thru the ones don't want to hear about. Watch some analysis but again FF thru the waffle. Perfect. done in 45m to an hour instead of 70-80m. Mr Shah hasn't got a clue, viewing figures are small compared to back in the day, it gets way more press than it deserves, nobody was bothered about MOTD for years & years. I would suspect that the focus on Lineker's salary, public comments & activity on social is why this guy thinks its a vehicle to make comment about. It does the job for those that want to watch, its changing anyway with new presenters, leave it primarily as is.

The Ashes 25/26
The boy Linacre replied to The Year Of The Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
Booked flights & accommodation just need to get tickets, taking in last 3 tests if I get tickets, lad going for 4, he got loads of time off work somehow. I backpacked in 98/99 & went to Adelaide for 3 days & ODI in Sydney, lost both -
Somebody on the BBC chat has got it right I think IF we can afford to sack him. David: Bin Ruud van Nistelrooy and put Brian Barry-Murphy in charge for the rest of the season. The players apparently respect him, he has some management experience, plus there's his association with Pep Guardiola. We are going down, but let's at least do it with our dignity intact. He'll have a chance to bag the job IF he gets a response from the players over the last 1/4 of the season, aspiration can be a great driver can't be any worse than the records RVN is and will set. Somebody needs the chance to kick arse, Ruud is stealing a living now. And so are the slackers in the team, Vardy GOAT has missed chances in most of the last half a dozen games, get Daka on with him or swap, can't be any worse based on form, attitude & results. Maybe go 5 at the back now Ricky will be back, god knows BUT change something or the manager.

Anyone excited about tomorrow's game ?
The boy Linacre replied to marcymarc666's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yes I’m going & work expenses are paying to get there & back, obviously if we are 3-0 down after 30 mins might leave early which means I get home early 😀👍💙 -
Man City (a) - Weds 2 April - 19.45
The boy Linacre replied to grobyfox1990's topic in Ticket News and Travel
Why would you go??? Midweek, hard to get time off work & travel is challenging & we are getting battered in every game & nothing is changing. I've done plenty of Lancashire midweekeers last 5-10 years & they are ballbusters if you are driving You want some hope and positivity when you go to a game Man City ain't great but they're not Tottenham This'll be like West Ham which I am attending tomorrow nobody there -
Now we’re not taking this seriously Then again everybody at the club started that Friday. As much as most now think Liverpool are champions the bottom 3 are now heading down. Well before the end of the season not many if any will care, the anger & frustration will pass over the month & apathy will be the order of the day.

Well he’s conceded a shedload since he’s come back

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
The boy Linacre replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
We’re wasting our breadth on RVN out, they have said they can’t afford to sack AND he’s holding in for his pay off. Impasse. -
It’s an amalgamation of issues & we are at the point of the perfect storm sadly. 3 years of poor decision making by Top & Rudkin, continual poor contracts, generally horrendous player acquisition, then picking Cooper, wasting £60m on Skipp, Ayew, BDCR & Edouard & then picking a manager because they had to with VERY limited experience & not for a relegation battle AND leaving him with a horrendously limited squad, who now 75% don’t care. Hence last nights debacle. And a losing relegation battle upcoming.
-
Thats mathematically impossible we concede 2.2 goals a game (25 games, 55 goals), I keep saying it we walk over the white lines at the start of the game 2-0 down. So we have to score 3 times to win.

Dedicated Matchdays For Four Local Charities
The boy Linacre replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
This is a very meritorious approach, we cannot take that away from the club, but the groundwork they have laid over the last 2-5 years generates the feedback we see in this chat which is more than a shame and where the fans on here are with this club/ownership. I totally understand both sides of this and find it a shame it is so divisive, but we are where we are. My one comment is great charities all, and totally deserving BUT the Vichai Foundation runs every season and picks a number of charities, and this is a rhetorical question, BUT why from February 21 to May 3rd??? Should this not have happened in Sept/Oct/Nov etc. and brought these wonderful charities to our notice much earlier, where we might ALL have donated earlier and more whilst raising our awareness. -
How does the entrance to the East stand get built into a street of housing??? Lovely Hillman Imp too
