Odsonne Edouard joins on loan - Official
The boy Linacre replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Just mentioned on Sky Sports Transfer Show Atlanta Utd? Had offered £15m for him, surely Palace will snap their hands off, especially as we rolled over so kindly last night. -
Is the Masters worth going to?.

We need to find a way get A message to Top, thats he fallen asleep on the job, he may not care, but a good 25k of that 30k do, and invest a lot of time, effort, expense, and not watch while Junior Srivaddhanaprabha, sings/fiddles while Rome has been burning since Aug 22, but heat level has now reached LA Fire level.
-
Top has turned us into a Yo Yo club, I want 20k+ there every week, not full for half a season, nobody buying any merchandise etc. A couple of hundred singing Rudkin out won't matter. Hit him in the pocket, as they are us and he'll sit up

We're 19th in the League and about 75th in recruitment, whether finding them, negotiating the length of, or the cost to the club of.......gutting

Comparing this season to 2014/15 Great Escape
The boy Linacre replied to tickler28's topic in Leicester City Forum
Appreciate the sentiment, and mentally its the right approach to take to be positive. Everybody at the club wanted to stay up then, they just were short for the 1st 30 games, but there was devil in that team. They weren't just taking the coin. This squad is mixed. Wout has NEVER owned a mistake in his life, how does he match up against Wes & Big Bob, Chalk & Cheese, Venus & Mars etc. We saw the Vestergaard of 23 last night, I mean he had a mare A couple of players is 4, you realised last night how limited we are without a RW last night, too hard for JJ and he can't defend now anyway, and it might make Stephy slightly better IF there was somebody on the other side, and Vardy is missing too many decent chances and sadly Patson is more likely to kill somebody in the stand than hit the target. After 20 games we have 2 yes TWO wins against decent sides, lets discount Southampton & we nearly lost that. The hierarchy was supportive, this one with Junior running the show is a car crash. I would love you to be right, but can't see this one happening, this was the big week, 2 winnable home games, last night was winnable and we created next to nothing. -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
The boy Linacre replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Currently any thread on "A Manager" is pointless for a number of reasons. Its not really their fault, it the owners/Board whatever. That Squad is NOT Premier League quality, ALL purchases aside from BEK in the summer were not Premier League Quality. Cooper was slightly more lucky he had a full squad to chose from. RVN has had no Mads or Fatawu to chose from, that is pretty tough and no Wilf either as an option. I always say, don't pull the trigger IF you haven't got a very good idea who the replacement is, and they should hopefully be better. Moyes would have been perfect for this situation, but he wouldn't come, so they made their choice. He'll either jump or be pushed at the end of the season I think. "They" have turned us from a comfortable mid table side into a yo yo club, and we are sitting here with one £3m transfer, where nobody really know ifs its inspired or totally cost based. Club currently are a joke, not much the manager can do about it, that was about the best available team out there last night & well exposed. -
Ouch, genuinely feel for you, hopefully the football didn’t spoil a lovely day.
-
Or fall over He’s an impact sub, no more , no less, nothing more, who we learned today can take a great corner. If RVN gets that we will have made a good start.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Ambivalent about him, the squad with no Fatawu & Mads, and the total dross we bought in in Aug aside from Bilal is a basket case, he’s not a miracle worker. Though neither is he the right man for a relegation dogfight. -
And Choudry how long??? And Vestergaard how long?? And must have had some involvement in BDCR & Edouard coming here. IMAGINE for Skipps fee we could have bought, Sels, Murillo & Milenkovic, good work Rudders
-
Brilliant, overwhelmed with excitement already Either Summer 24 window revisited or Steve Walsh type scouting, I genuinely have no clue which one. As I know nothing about this guy. But in the absence of any other purchases he better be Leo Messi at his prime to keep us up.
-
Sorry, actually don’t care. The ownership don’t. That squad of players aren’t Premier League as tonight showed, I think aside from Wout that’s our best available team, & we huffed & puffed & fell apart. Thats not going to change against a better team. Sorry

Love it, does the job, listen to the occasional interview, miss the managers you hate, listen to the punditry on the red card or offside, miss the rest, 7 mins per game, whats not to like. Occasional bit of comedy, job done. Kelly Somers, should have some involvement, she has done a couple recently and she is decent at it too. Youth policy.

PSR's off the agenda now Lets crack on now. sadly the fact the reinforcements aren't in for Palace & Fulham, that MAY be a disastrous mistake. We need at least 4, we have 1 incoming. Gamble.....if we don't we won't stay up, that group of players isn't good enough, we particularly need to stop the ball going in our net
-
Isn't that pretty poor business?? So hopefully we'll get rid now. But if we don't its in his interests to make sure we go down, or get beaten in a match, how as a business would you commit to that with an employee? A reduced fee means he likely can negotiate a bigger pay packet as they haven't spent on the fee. Quality decision??????
-
LCFC will NOT face any charges for breaching PSR

At least 4 players and get rid of Wout, Edouard and Hamza in Jan -
His overriding issue is he thinks he's better than he is. We don't think he's that good and he could be. Neither did that Belgian journo last Autumn when he got rinsed after various calamities. Do the hard yards mate, you ALWAYS learning and getting better or you'd be Rio Ferdinand, or Franco Baresi, Cannavaro or Chiellini & you patently aren't. You may fire us to a 2nd relegation in 3 years. Says it all: "He made his debut for the club in a 6–2 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on 17 September."
-
If it’s £40 again, might be another deterrent & its United it’ll be on TV
-
Didn’t it look like Raya was going early, so he made it look easy for the last 3 takers
-
TBH It'll be all decided Monday/Tuesday IF we aren't liable/culpable we can bring in the 4 players we need, purchases or loans, RVN will stay and we have every chance of staying up IF we are found guilty, presume we will get a points deduction, if I was RVN I would walk, the hierarchy mismanaged and probably lied to him and we are down, no players or manager of any note would would come here. I just hope they can count OR they have been stupid beyond the extreme.

"Rodgers panicked bringing in Bertrand & Vesty when Fofana was injured". He got injured against Villareal 5th Aug 2021, out for much of the season, Bertrand had joined the week before, Vesty joined 8 days later. "We are definitely light in the area," said Rodgers, who confirmed the club had a small list of players identified as potential signings. He came back against Rennes 17th March in the Conference League They were 2 of the worst purchases, from a team we had beaten 9-0.
-
I would say we set the tone for 5-6 years from 2015 with the sale of Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater, Maguire, Fofana et al, but then we gambled when chasing the ECL spot & Rodgers panicked bringing in Bertrand & Vesty when Fofana was injured, when we never needed them AND they weren’t good enough on £60k+ per week. We were stuck with that, made further repeated poor purchases on high salary and long contracts & we’re stuck with that the season we we went down, where Rodgers had spat the dummy & players like Tielemens were on the way out. We took those salaries into the championship & the stupidly rewarded mediocre players Hamza, Vesty & Ward with expensive contracts. Just mistake after mistake post the FA Cup win. They have to change their approach/model it is well broken currently. They’re chucking good money after bad coz they’re panicking, Skipp & Edouard. And carrying these leftovers coz of the length on contracts.

Apparently this is what RVN said today: Speaking in Thursday’s presser, van Nistelrooy admitted that the club are working day and night to sign players and he hopes they can announce something soon. “We’re in the middle of the process,” the Leicester boss said on January signings. “It’s clear where we want to strengthen. We’re working on that day and night. I feel a strong responsibility to get the right players in. “It’s a delicate process. It takes time. It requires a lot of effort and work to bring in the right players. “Those are the profiles we have been talking about with recruitment and the people responsible for signing these players. It started in December and hopefully we can present something soon.” What December 31st??? And if we are in the middle of the process then the signings will be after Palace & Fulham at H
