Julián Carranza joins on loan - Official
The boy Linacre replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I haven't judged him yet. Would say it was a shame he didn't finish that chance Saturday & he was a bit mad at the Hawthorns. But I am intrigued by that well used football term "he's hardly up to speed as yet"??? Now are these guys not professional sportspeople, so they are paid a lot more than us mere mortals even at this level to run around A LOT and he's been here 5-6 weeks..............understand team patterns, ideas etc. but overall fitness?? Back in the day I did a fair bit of running, after 5 weeks training probably 4-5 times per week for about 30-35 miles per week I was WAY fitter and faster. Also to some extent don't the club want some immediate return?? James and Ramsey played against Oxford, really as soon as they got here. So I just think Marti went with Ayew initially and now Patson, at the moment neither is scoring, when will Carranza start??? OR will he always be a sub? -
Play him

Twofooted as well, ;evel above many of the others in terms of desire, application etc. Thought post goal we didn't see loads of him when Swansea were on top but just gives us an extra dimension, lets hope Ramsey gets up to his level. Excited by this midfield with Harry playing well. Marti is getting there with the balance of the team, Cov might win the title sadly BUT we might get 2nd. Excited to watch this guy this season though, great addition -
End product is dismal, final ball non existent. We had 1, yes ONE shot against Wrexham. Maybe they have never heard the term "Test the keeper?" Or maybe they are just scared of scoring, there's something in it surely?

Rank The Below Sporting Events
The boy Linacre replied to The Year Of The Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
1) Ryder Cup 2) World Cup Final 3) The Ashes 4) Superbowl 5) TDF 1) AS others have said the format for the Ryder Cup is perfect, I probably 1st watched it in 85, many matches just take you on that rollercoaster journey., though a number recently have been won by 5pts or more, but it can't de decided till the last day, so that is a plus for the excitement of it. Bringing individuals in the most individual sport together as a team is a great idea and this format REALLY works. 2) For me its probably about the tournament rather than the final, been some great ones and again recency bias, last time was one of the best, there have been some shockers and sadly i went to one which was 1990. Most from then till 2014 weren't great, tense but not quality 3) Again the Ashes have been great of late, though we get hammered out there, BUT from 1989 till 2005 we got battered most of the time so again??? It has its moments, I mean 2005 was stunning, the last home series, opportunity missed by stupidity early in the series & then surprisingly rain in Manchester 4) Sadly great spectacle, but plenty of games blowouts and for UK audience not practical 5) An event to be in awe of their physical capabilities, but so drug challenged over the last 40 years, whats the truth?? Didn't use to watch it but watch the highlights since Lance's time, nobody gave a monkey's though before any Brit won -
Just play him He has something to prove, he wants to play for us, he isn't going though the motions knowing he will leave at the end of the season OR taking the coin. We have primarily dropped 4 pts in the last 2 games because foreign internationals who are insitu repeated mistakes they have made probably at least 10+ times over the last 3 seasons. I mean Vesty passed straight to a Wrexham player on Tuesday, give the kid a couple of games. Its up to the other centre half to guide/support/mentor him

Still a mess, who knows what's happened here in terms of the politics. Might be beneficial BUT she hasn't got us a shirt sponsor, and corporate is half empty, so losing money hand over fist there. Truly don't know how much influence she had over squad and team acquisition and purchase BUT still leaves Laurel and Hardy at the top, and really that is what we primarily care about. Even if Rudkin should go too, Top still wouldn't know who to talk to to get the right people into the club. These 2-3 have destroyed the club since BRodgers spat the dummy about recruitment in the Summer of 22. 2 are doing the role of 3 in the short term AND the replacement will still be a Yes person. Somebody sleptwalked us into relegation in May 22, somebody employed Steve Cooper, it wasn't the right choice, somebody bought Ayew, BDCR, and particularly Daka, Soumare and most damning Skipp. Somebody panicked for RVN, somebody can't count when it comes to PSR, somebody gave Jannik & Hamza 3 year contracts and Luke a 4 year contract. Till that stops, we watch what we saw at the Hawthorns and Wrexham going forward.
-
That is a perfect summation, thank you. I wonder about Hamza as a midfield sub if people are flagging, coz 29,000 people know Skipp & Soumare aren't the answer EVER Maybe give Carranza a start, Patson just needs a goal (bless him, a trier but absolutely no quality or football ability sadly)
-
Interesting, over the summer it was anger at Top & Rudders, now its disengagement and anger, and I totally agree. Went Friday, went yesterday, rinse, repeat. If he's seen arrogance, he should have seen enough, if they are letting us, him and themselves down, its time for the limited changes he can make. Nelson in, Skipp never to see the grass again once Ramsey is back, find somebody who can score goals in the club

And a truly shocking game, performance and result.

Marti Cifuentes appointed new manager
The boy Linacre replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
TBF we have 2 of the best midfielders in Winks & James. We have an international defence, though 3 of them play at a level below Harborough Town FC (Vesty, Kristiansen (QED last night) & Wout (QED WBA A). Probably the best winger in the League in Abdul A strike force that at the moment are all trying manfully in their own way BUT are worse than shocking -

Then after 15-20 mins he vanished, decided to not leave the shoulder of the centre half. You are allowed to look for space, but it involves running of the ball. -
He seriously upsets me. Somebody tell me if he did anything good in 20 mins today. I have NEVER since him have a good or even half a good game for us. Who paid £20m for that living stealer??? He literally runs round in circles in the middle of the park, asks for the ball occasionally, NEVER looks or passes forward, has he EVER had a shot for us? Compare him today to what Harry did.
-
And to think of some clever soul in the club didn’t offer him a new 3 year contract when he performed well at a lower level, he wouldn’t be here now???
-
If you went tonight, would you want to watch that all season? I went to Charlton & West Brom as well and will go to Millwall but that might be it for aways (that I love) till at least after Xmas. Why based on our games so far, should I waste £100 plus per away for that, getting back at midnight Friday.

Leicester 1 - 1 Wrexham POST MATCH
The boy Linacre replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
Totally agree, for me maybe from the Brendan relegation season but yes. James is not an incumbent but he put most of the rest to shame. The defence is an embarrassment Stolarcyk is s#it scared of distributing quickly, but as nobody shows for him either we have no dynamism. The back 4 primarily can’t actually play football and yet hog the ball passing slowly from side to side, and most make crucial defensive howlers. Harry tried today, but Bobby started really well & then just vanished, he sat on top of the centre half, didn’t look for space or move off the ball at all, lazy. What has happened to Stephy he was a star 2 years ago, just vanished. Abdul’s end product aside from 1 goal has been poor this season, they are working him out. Ayew is a waste for us, slow, greedy & no end product. Daka is just a mess sadly with great effort but no quality. On Radio Leicester they said, 4 draws is relegation form, it won’t be BUT for gods sake just attack now every week and see if you can score more than the opposition, this current form and play is embarrassing and excruciating. They are stealing a living from all of us, either through, stupidity, lack of quality, disengagement or all of these. I am totally disengaged but angry & feel let down. -
Wrexham (H) - Tuesday 30th September @ 19:45

At what point is your digital ticket updated on your phone, I didn't go Cov, shared with with somebody else BUT just checked and my phone says Cov.....??? -
I was there Friday night but watched the highlights back this morning. Wout is just shocking. He backed off, backed off, THEN went to ground. As they say, if you are off you're feet your out the game. Guys a dick and NEVER learns. NEVER owns it. Always somebody else's fault. Put us on the back foot all game. How can they not fancy Nelson more, half a season LY with Oxford.

I've had a shocking weekend, one of the highlights of the sporting year and then I've got West Brom A tomorrow and then no 1 son has got us tickets for Oasis Sunday night. Will be a Likely lads mission to avoid the score till Monday, so I can see the Singles. Think we have a decent team, there is a real chance here. Bearing in mind how much a fan of Europe the Orange Scottish Golf Club owner is, would be great to beat them on his watch, would be MEGA, Make Europe Great Again

This is vestergaard and Choudry revisited. He was really solid if not slightly more at the start of his career during Covid & up to the cup final, but has TOTALLY STALLED. The Blades & Boro binned him off after 12 games each, he’s so negative down the left almost always playing back. I really hope this is for the sale in a season or two, he is very limited now. And if we improve, he’s sat on the bench taking I hope LESS than £25k per week. What was wrong with 2 years, let alone 3, but 4 wow.

Electronic Season Tickets - 2025/26
The boy Linacre replied to SamA27's topic in Leicester City Forum
I need to pass my ticket onto a mate for the next game, does anybody know how you actually do it please? May have been covered before so apologise for asking again -
Sadly Ben is doing it for the money as some other guy broke a record this year and got $1m for it, and as he's 30, he'll probably be too old to get a gold in LA. Shame indeed, personally worrying for him if it involves drug enhancement.
