  1. Just noting that Amorim, who was excellent at Sporting, has Man United on a torrid run of form. Sometimes it is down to the club. I'd rather keep Ruud with regular gametime for Monga and Evans next season than change to Sean Dyche who would never give them minutes.
  2. If that happens then the club haven't learned their lesson. It's the exact type of transfer that we need to avoid.
  3. Don't get too excited, they're just rumours after all.
  4. He's getting minutes in the premier league as a 16 year old. I dont think him being in the PL2 player of the season list determines whether he goes under the radar or not.
  5. I feel like this is said every week. No one thinks he's the saviour, no one expects him to win games single handedly, stop setting the barrier for entry so high for our academy players. Most of us would just prefer a young talented player to be allowed to have the same opportunities as the likes of Cordova Reid and Ayew, who turn in sub par performances every week. Let him play poorly, let him struggle, at least he will learn unlike the so call experienced PL players we have.
  6. There's a reason that Monga's breaking through now and that's because he's one of the best talents in the country. 'He's 15', yes but he's also that good that he's ready, youre just going to have to accept that.
  7. He cried because he probably thought we were a pathway to a big contract at Chelsea, Man United etc.
  8. Better save % than Hermansen as well. Flekken is arguably the better keeper and not sure Hermansen would leave to be second choice.
  9. Id argue we're not a high pressure environment and haven't been for 6-7 matches at least, relegation has been almost guaranteed for a long time. If anything the pressure has never been more off, no one would begrudge evans and monga a couple bad performances as we're already down and the alternatives arent good. Just last match Monga did a nice bit of skill and the fans reacted like it was one of the highlights of the season (it probably is tbf), which would have helped boost his confidence. Arguably next season will have more pressure on them to perform as they'll be expected to be part of a team winning most weeks.
  10. I read this and I agree on some level. Then I remember that he started Bobby Reid and Ayew most weeks and has continuously played Faes and it's hard to not think that Ruud just spouts hot air and if he stays he won't do the clear out we so desperately need.
  11. The person you responded to said that Nelson should not go for £30mil. You said Nelson is not a £30mil player. I said id rather have Nelson than £30mil as due to our recruitment record it is going to cost more than £30mil to sign a defender of Nelson's quality if we sell him. You said we're not going to spend £30mil on a replacement in the championship. I clarified that while the club won't spend £30mil on a single defender next summer, they will spend that amount on defenders in the next 3 or 4 seasons that Nelson would have been here which can simply be avoided by keeping Nelson. Hopefully that makes sense to you now.
  12. Doesn't matter what you are suggesting, we've seen this play out before. We've spent £21mil on Coady and Okoli in the last 2 summers despite FFP issues. £36mil if you include Souttar in the winter before that. If we sell Nelson for £30mil the club are going to keep on trying (and likely failing) to find a good quality centre back and will spend at least that much over the remainder of what would have been Nelson's contract period. Sure they won't spend £30mil on one centreback but it will be spread over multiple players over multiple transfer windows. Why not just avoid that by keeping Nelson?
  13. I saw Oxford conceded 3 and was worried that Nelson struggled a bit in the last game of the season. Goes to show the impact he has that it all falls apart when he's not available.
  14. Adrian Zeljkovic - 22 year old Slovenian DM
  15. That Titraoui in particular looks outrageously good. Great find.
  16. It was definitely circumstantial. The only times the club have sold key players are because the player forced their way out (Fofana, Mahrez), the buying club paid over odds (Chilwell, Maguire) or because we were forced to because of FFP (Barnes, Maddison, Dewsbury Hall). The club has never had the mentality of buying low and selling high, every decision the club makes is only with the short term in mind.
  17. He essentially played a championship club the other day and didn't look any good. You have to remember he had a bad injury a few years ago and his form never recovered. There's a good chance that he's a significantly worse player now than when he was at Norwich.
  18. Best overall - Banks and Shilton Best for Leicester - Schmeichel You cant ignore Schmeichel's heroics in the FA cup final, champions league etc. No one has had more impact for the club between the sticks than him.
  19. You do wonder if these players would make the bench with Cordova Reid, Fatawu and Mavididi available though. It's something that these youngsters have to consider over the summer is that senior players will always get preferential treatment.
  20. No one is thick enough. Also even if we were offered £10mil I dont think we would be able to accept due to buying him for £25mil only last summer.
  21. Am a bit gutted that Evans's run wasn't rewarded with a goal at the end there. Absolutely busted his gut to get in the right position.
  22. Skipp is a plonker. Going to get a red soon.
  23. Eyes on Jak Stephens and Bednarek
  24. Maybe im watching a different stream but the commentator I've got is just saying put the ball in first time. Which was definitely a staple of Real Madrid's cl success
