Is he really worth the £25mil being touted? Didnt hear much about him last year and that's a premium price for a championship player. Seems like a lot to me for someone not in the conversation for best player in the league.

I said "You do not need to be sold for £60mil to be worth £60mil" CoolHandFox disagreed and said "Your worth what someone is willing to pay." My point is exactly what you are saying, that the values of a player fluctuates and is based on the performance on the pitch. Coolhandfox's point is that a club has to pay that amount for a player for that player's value to be defined. With CoolHandFox's definition how do you define a player's value if they have not transferred to a club recently? You don't, it is still defined by the last amount that was paid for that player and is therefore fixed at a time in the past, therefore the definition is flawed. I gave examples where that definition is flawed and you disagreed with those examples (because the logic is flawed) and therefore agreed with me.

No one paid any more than £1mil for Vardy though. Does that mean he was never worth more than £1mil? Of course not, therefore the point that Coolhandfox made that Sara needs a £60mil transfer to be worth £60mil is incorrect, you aren't arguing against me, you are arguing tangentially to me for no reason.

You have just agreed with me @Dahnsouff. A player's value is not defined by what clubs pay for them but by their performance on the pitch. I was just using the last transfer values of players to show that what clubs pay for a player does not define their real value.

Maguire was worth £80 mil then? Danny ward worth £12 mil? Vardy worth £1mil? Just because someone underpays or overpays for a player doesnt make it their value, it's what the player provides on the pitch that determines their value.

You don't need to be sold to be worth 60mil. Ollie Watkins went from a 20 mil championship player and he's worth 60 mil now despite staying at Villa, Bowen is probably worth 50 mil off the back of a 20 mil championship sale, Gyokeres has an 80 mil price tag but is probably not going to be sold as he's a 60 mil player. There's been plenty of players that were the best in the championship who went on to be very valuable. If Sara performs in the CL for Galatasaray and proves himself as one of the best in Europe then he's a 60 mil player even if he doesnt get sold. On the other side we spent £11m on Okoli, £15mil on Faes, Kristiansen, Souttar etc but the price we paid for them doesnt mean it's their value.

Based on what? He got 13 goals 12 assists last season despite being Norwich's deepest midfielder for the first half of the season. There aren't many players even in top flight football with the same skillset as him. His passing, shooting and set piece delivery are all excellent.

No PL club was interested enough in Gyokeres and look how that turned out. Could easily be the same situation with Sara where he's worth £20mil now and £60mil come Christmas time. Arguably the best player in the championship last season.

This would be fine if the senior players were performing well but Cordova Reid did not look comfortable at all playing centrally. When things aren't working it's better to try players out in pre season rather than looking for an answer midway through. He should at least give Alves or Golding a proper run out at least.

Bologna being the well run club that they are seem to have nailed their valuation of him. About half of what we paid for him, honking business.

I assume you're talking about promoting youth? If so i'm with you on that one, it feels like he's doing a Rodgers and not giving Golding or Alves a proper runout to make it look like we have fewer options than we do in order to force through transfers.

How is cordova reid still on? He's done very little, at least give golding or alves a chance to show what they can do. Edit: assumed it was ndidi who came off for choudhury

The majority of Mavididi's career has been as a second striker. He's best in and around the box, not on the wing.

They reportedly wanted to buy him for £7mil, rather than the 15 mil option. Considering the fact he finished top four with them they clearly dont value him particularly highly.

I think our starting fullbacks next season should be Justin and Ricardo, there's a reason no one wants to buy Kristiansen despite starting in a CL side last season.

Just because we need both doesnt mean we will get both. Considering we havent had concrete links with a midfielder yet it looks like we see Soule/Asprilla as our KDH replacement.

It's unlikely that we get an ACM on top of this guy. It will be one or the other and if I had to choose i would pick a natural ACM rather than a player who's more natural on the wing.

Why is our priority position a RW who can also play CAM? Please can we just target an actual midfielder.
