Unbelievable statement from Dermot Desmond. Just shows how poisonous a person he can be, and the broader impact this has on the perception of others in the club. Not excusing the board for taking their time to dismiss him, but maybe they had similar feelings towards him, and really didn't want to reward his behaviour by paying him off. Does make you wonder if they assumed (wrongly so in the end) that we had too much quality to go down. Would also explain BRs odd selections. Was he intentionally picking the likes of Ward to force the clubs hand? I guess we'll never know for certain, but I'm not sure there's any coming back from that Celtic statement.

Completely agree, but just emphasises what a mess we are as a club. The standard this season is probably the worst the Championship has been in the last 10 years, and we're making very hard work of things.

Cov are doing my head in. We're crap, and they were bang average at best against us, yet week in week out they're rolling teams over whilst we seem to massively struggle against the dross in this league. So frustrating, as if we could get our act together we'd stroll this league given how poor the competition is.

Too little, far too late. No doubt Cifuentes will reference that final 10 minutes as us showing attacking intent. Quite frankly yet another unacceptable team selection and performance. He's teetering on the edge for me. Defeat to Millwall and that's enough for me. This division is utter rubbish and we should be walking this league, but instead it's just more of the same.

Agreed. They're light years ahead of the West. Our insistence on democratic systems and the subsequent bureaucracy that comes with it, creates endless inefficiency. I'm not suggesting that China's communist approach is perfect, nor one I wish to necessarily see in the West, however it is certainly putting them at an advantage currently. That said Xi Jinping has no choice but to move as quickly as possible. They are in a race against time. Will they achieve an automated state in time to maintain their upward trajectory as their population ages, or will this ticking time bomb cripple them? Time will tell, but if they maintain their current pace of change, I think they may achieve their goals just in time to avoid what could be a decline of catastrophic proportions.

I was pleased with the appointment at the time, and early on his comments seemed to fit with what us fans wanted to hear. For a moment it felt very much like a match made in heaven with Pearson vibes. However, as time has passed I'm getting rather irritated by him dropping soundbites and not taking any action. He is either making comments for effect to appease the fans and isn't really sure what is required or he knows what needs doing but isn't capable of doing it. I'm getting increasingly fed up with this obsession with 433 and inverted full backs. No idea why we keep playing it. Given the personnel at our disposal it feels like we're trying to fit square pegs in round holes and aren't getting the best from the players we have. Just feels like a lazy tactical approach to keep up with the jones', rather than finding ways to make us more clinical in the final third.

Awful performance 2nd half. Look ****ed after 60 mins. No energy whatsoever. No excuse either after an international break where most of the players have effectively had a break. All these draws will cost us massively come the end of the season, especially when the points deduction lands. That one is 100% on Marti. Best not spout the usual crap post match about how he was unhappy with the performance 2nd half and how we weren't professional enough, blah, blah, blah. Heard it all before from him, then the next game it's more of the same. I want it to work out for him, but time isn't on his side. We need to start converting these draws into wins ASAP.
