So which Villa forward hasn't scored this season? Buendia? Philogene?

How can he banned for less than a red card?

It's the season under Rodgers that has caused where we are now. Firstly offering too big contracts to players who weren't good enough and successive poor windows. Then either not sacking Rodgers sooner or not sticking with him until the end and see if he could just about survive. We sacked him with no plan just before two huge home games. Everything else has come because of this.

We probably need Southampton to win to keep Palace close and unfortunately also need Forest to continue their surge in their next two games, but no doubt they'll turn to shit when we need them to win. If we can scrape at least 1 point from these next two games then it's probably a bonus but then the Palace game is huge.

If I had trust we'd have a go at them then I'd give us a chance but I'd expect us to just wait to be beaten. We are generally shit on the ball, but we're even worse without it.

Hard to see where the next point is coming from. It wasn't the embarrassment we feared but it's still a defeat.

At least we know we probably don't have to get a new number 1 for the championship next season

Think we might have scored too early....

If we are being honest it's probably Walsh but I can't do that to my first favourite player. So it's Maguire.

“The back-line had one of their best games, in terms of the number of chances they had and the number of box entries, they were season bests. We have to stop the individual mistakes. That is one of way of putting it Jakub is going to play. In a weird way he's going to be under a bit of pressure now.

Jakub Choudhury Faes Coady Okoli Kristiansen Winks Soumare Bilal Daka Buonanotte No fan of Hamza at right back but no way Justin can play in this. It's Vestergaard or Coady for me, we are likely to barely touch the ball so Coady for this one. Faes has got history of scoring goals at Anfield I feel Ruud has set himself up to look an idiot if he doesn't play Ward but surely he can't. Jakub will get chucked in, if he's ready or not. I don't really care if it works, I just want to see an attempt to change things.

That old press conference 'we'll see' coming to fruition again. Worst time to have a injury, before you know it you've missed 4 games.

Can't wait for him to sign for Cardiff and have an absolute blinder against us next season.

I think Ruud feels he needs one option of a direct runner (Mavididi but he's lacking confidence so is barely getting past his man) and feels he needs someone he can trust to stay in position on the right because Buonanotte does go wondering, and Ruud benefitted first hand in one the games against Man Utd. That said the other options are that shit that you might as well play Buonanotte whatever he does. Current squad is crying out for a manager that can make a back 3 with wingbacks, 2 sitting midfielders and a front 3 of Bilal, Buonanotte and Vardy/Daka work.

My concern is Danny Ward appears to be liked amongst the squad members, despite his performances, and they'll be telling him how much of **** the fans are and it's not going to motivate them to improve. It shouldn't matter but if you think a mate is being hard done by it will effect your mindset.

It's definitely a game you want over and done with early in the day. And with it being 8pm I'll probably feel obliged to chuck it on, I might earn myself some brownie points and offer to take the kids to bed to stop me watching.

Sums up where is brain is, all over the place. He must have seen the Wolves player before but he seems to just forget he's there in the moment.

Man's head has gone. Needs to be taken out of the team but there isn't another senior right back.

He's never going to respond to questions about Ward by saying "the useless **** deserved it', always going to stick up for him. Don't see how he can pick Ward again, just for Wards benefit if nothing else. We will get beat with Gordon Banks in goal at Liverpool, but Ward will get blamed for it if he plays.

I don't agree with booing of individual players, if the reason is them just being shit. Creates an atmosphere noone wants and it doesn't motivate the other players as they see their mate getting victimised. There is enough us and them as it is.

How many minutes as Daka played since he made us better against West Ham?

Did anyone think 'hang on a minute' when he slid a lovely pass into Soumare in the midfield. Then I think we were behind a minute later

Just doesn't look like he has his own ideas. I hate jumping on a manager so soon but when you bring someone in you want to see what he's all about. A few posters were convinced he'd be a great appointment, interested to see what they think after these first 4 games. The praise he got after West Ham and Brighton was ridiculously OTT just because he wasn't Cooper.

Only hope is they take it easy after the first couple of goals. If we had any sort of defensive structure, you could argue this time of year with the games coming thick and fast that you can sometimes pick up the odd unexpected point. But we are so easy to play against that they can treat it like a training match and score without even trying. The fact we have no alternative right back is making me sick. Hamza is shit but he has to play or chuck the under 21 right back in, i don't care if he's any good. He can't be any worse. How can Okoli be in Italy squads yet can't get into this team.

Some score at Old Trafford
