  1. I really don't like kids etc holding signs at matches wanting players shirts.
  2. Martin O'Neill and John Robertson ex Forest and Garry Parker too. They did OK for us
  3. I suppose this the problem with news airtime that needs to be filled when nothing confirmed
  4. I should have said he threw the mace high though I suppose you gathered that!
  5. Rush to judgement is a common problem these days
  6. Talking of miracles anybody heard of Sgt Alkemade of Loughborough ?
  7. Yep. No interest in another money grabbing tournament. Stinks when cup replays that would largely benefit smaller clubs are binned.
  8. I remember Freddie Frinton in a tv sit com with Thora Hird
  9. The Drum Major used to play to the crowd and throw it high and catch it and the crowd cheered though hoping he would drop it. I miss Filbo but it was a bit lopsided with no room to expand. My first Leicester away game was at Highbury. A 0-1 loss in May 1966.
  10. I would imagine with his sense of humour he would see the joke
  11. Very heavy smoker apparently
  12. I welcome your presence here. Someone else to recall the halcyon days of the Routemaster!. Do you remember the Met Police Band at Highbury at half time?
  13. How many here remember Marty Feldman?
  14. I can remember when I first heard Black Knight which of course was 1970. My best mate was absolutely Deep Purple mad. He died aged 44 so always think of him when I hear Deep Purple. Takes me back to being aged 14 listening to their records in his room painted of course in Deep Purple
  15. I must admit to be more envious of musical talent than sporting talent.
  16. Thanks. A beautiful evocative and emotional sound I always think.
  17. Thanks. As a complete non musician but loves music it is great when someone who knows their stuff agrees. Funnily enough my daughter is very musical though that must be from her Mum's side of the family. What is your instrument of choice?
  18. For me his keyboard playing lifted Deep Purple's sound to a higher level
  19. Nor me. I was 20 I think when the first one came out. Already too old to be interested
  20. Didn't Brian do something similar at Man City
  21. As opposed to the Jack The Lad band. A splinter group from Lindisfarne fame
  22. Reminds me when Crombie's were all the rage amongst young blokes
  23. Yep. Remember a photo of me next to Santa at Arding & Hobbs store in Battersea. School cap on too.
  24. Yes. So would it be fair not to attach any blame as only here since Christmas and only an assistant?
