I agree with you about Mavidid - he has been very good for us. However a lot of us thought lookman was good too and a no brainer for the price we could have got for him given what he had shown us. Worked hard tracked back kept the ball and had ability to go past players and score key goals. We probably didn’t buy him because the realisation of our financial predicament and poor management had probably already started to hit home

I fear though that vesty needs to be playing week in and week out to keep match fit and sharp like most people. I think he has been great this season but he will be targeted more in the premier. I hope that we don’t regret this very quickly. Hopefully Enzo has a plan. Not just the rush defence employed this season against less talented opposition.

None of the teams look like they willing to take a risk in this first leg. Sets it all up for the return games. I dont care who wins the play off final as long as it’s not Leeds.

I’d be gutted if he doesn’t get a decent farewell. I remember him playing for Villa in his younger days and thinking he was a very decent player and was very happy when he signed for us. Managers have come and gone but one thing they learn over time is that Marc doesn’t let you down. His energy work rate and underestimated technical ability is infectious on the rest of the team. Age catches up with everyone but for someone has given so much to this club and is written into our history he deserves a good send off.

If we could get this guy in he would be a decent bet. Quick strong combative and an eye for a goal. He is a bit raw but will only get better. Not sure we could afford him though even if we make room by offloading the two mentioned. Soumare Souttar and Kristiansen have to be moved on if they aren’t part of our plans. If we could move on Ward too then that would be the icing on the cake.
