  1. Shouldnt really reply, but agree 100% Boggles my mind that an experienced player will get chance after chance regardless how sh1te they are. If we started Evans one game, and he drifted around the pitch and fell over as much as Ayew, and missed penalties, then he wouldnt get another chance. However, for a while, Ayew was starting each week and has never left the squad. We win nothing when Winks is on the pitch, yet becomes undroppable. And i agree, the energy in our lot disappeared the day it was clear that their spots were never under threat. It was Louis Page who scored again Peterborough preseason and the energy was different when you could see Aluko etc knocking on the door. And if rumours are correct, its the journeymen like Ayew and Mavadidi who act like complete d1ks to the academy players. They arent example setters.
  2. We have scouts? Presume me mean Wasserman will be looking?
  3. Cant wait for the Rowett press conference either. 'It was a bit disappointing really....'
  4. Would beat our current 1st team if it didn’t have Jordan James in it.
  5. And complains its too spicy.
  6. We found out that we are still paying some of Coadys wages. Gonna be the same with Winks.
  7. And, a bit like Vestergaard, he tends to always slow the game down when most other teams seem to do well using lots of pace and intensity. I remember a home game a while back, when Aluko got some minutes and made a decent run that i think led to a corner. Winks came running over and did his 'slow down' motion with his hands. I remember thinking 'nah Winks, prefer what Aluko was doing over what you dish up'. Of course, we barely saw Aluko again.
  8. There have been times this season where Abdul (on his side of the pitch) has completely lost it. I mean - completely off his head lost it. Each time i have seen Riccy do the bare minimum dealing with Abdul. There is no leadership at all from him. Even worse, the modern version of him only wants to play a variation on the inverted fullback role, and his legs are completely gone.
  9. I dont understand why people think everyone should behave the same way. I gave a lot of sh1t to players last few games, and the people in front of me were starting to get annoyed with me and asking how that helps. They didnt like me singing the Harry Winks song for sure. But i just spoke to them, because i cant expect them to feel the same as me. Around me we have young people, old people, families, disabled people and people with learning issues - its a diverse mix. But, all this stops if we stop paying stupid money for bad players, and play with some passion and excitement on the pitch. 2nd half yesterday, everything picked up when we gave it a go. If you see that consistently, then everyones differences dissapear, as we are all celebrating the same thing.
  10. I think you dealt with it about as well as you could in the situation. I am personally surprised he came forward and when he did his body language was strange, especially with others standing behind him. As you said, if you lashed out he wouldnt have come over and it would have put further conversations at massive risk. I hope (hope!) that they understood how pragmatic you were and use this moving forward. My fear is that you will get next to nothing back. As other said, the 'i try' comment is very worrying.
  11. Has someone asked him if we wanted to manage the team? Anyone who doesnt 'want' to should be fined 6 months wages.
  12. Wonder if we will ever find out why he hates kids so much? Maybe a teenager rode their bike into him once and injured him. Gave Aluko last 5 minutes again Portsmouth and then dropped him from the squad yesterday. Barely gave Monga a sniff whilst Mavidid as wreaking of horse manure , and completely dropped Page down to the U23's. Absolutely astonishing.
  13. Just don't give the test to Fatawu - i think we would be shocked with the result.
  14. Lets be fair - he has had a few ok games this season. Im not going to jump up and down about him, but i think he has worked on some of his problematic attributes. He has been better than Riccy or Vestergaard, but gets far more pelters when there is a bad performance.
  15. A couple of things really bug me here. First, Vestergaard wasnt really that good in our promotion season. He largely worked because teams parked the bus against us, but his defensive frailties were obvious and many of us on here very fearful of us offering him a deal in the Premier League. 2nd half of the Enzo season when teams had us sussed - he wasnt very good at all. Also, 'Nelson wasn't the answer'. Nelson struggled this season for sure, but our setup put so much pressure on the defence / keeper with no coach willing to change it. No single CB has stood out, but Nelson is no worse than any of those we have spent big money on. Why then is it ok for Vestergaard to get chance after chance after chance and be an abject failure, yet Nelson gets a % of a season? Nelson is 22 and still has learning to do, I am convinced has a higher ceiling. He is exactly the sort of player we should be looking to retain. Lastly, I don't recall meaningful contributions from Vestergaard. Just being available becuase noone else wants him is not good enough.
  16. Just makes me want to vomit.
  17. I dont understand why we should bother? Let the team manage themselves. I feel some of Rowetts recent interviews have been horrific. And agree he should not be allowed near any of the facilities every again.
  18. Hence why i said January. If you are 33, its probably worth the risk. Don't expect these d1ckheads to care about anything.
  19. Prepare to be shocked for those with 1 year left in particular. I expect many of them to ride it out in some fashion until the Jan window and will cling on to their salaries for dear life.
  20. Its a club that has frozen him out several times, and the fans have got on his back many times. He will not give a stuff.
  21. Injury was obvs horrible, but it why its so important to have a good recruitment networks and a strategy for the types of player you need. Vestergaard is the polar opposite of Fofana - its a baffling appointment. And its one that Brendan wanted!
  22. Begovic panicked but it was Vestergaards fault. He was playing the old Maresca invite the press routine and gave a terrible pass to Thomas which invited the winger to go for him. I am certain Vestergaard is complicit in us defaulting back to a certain style.
  23. He can stand on the ball, and he can over hit a pass into midfield. Guarantee you, he will be here first game of next season doing exactly the same and getting caught out in the same way.
  24. Id have more respect if he dropped the players hes talking about. But he doubled downed on them.
