The big mistakes are coming. That was nearly it, and he even stared at the ball so the moment could have become a meme.
-
Price is a tad under what i felt we could get, but i think for a foreign keeper who struggles 2nd half of the PL, its sadly about right. Hope there are add ons.
-
Im not sure about Ipswich - been saying it all pre season. I thought they looked awful yesterday and need to find many gears to prove to me that they are going to win this. Hirst is a dreadful striker and thought they looked gassed.

Your mood in 10 words? More optimistic than was. Actually looking forward to watching play. Where will we finish? Top 2 How many points will we be deducted? 4 Who will be our most important player? Bilal Who will be top scorer? Ayew What are you most excited about? Watching Monga grow into the team and becoming a starter. What are you most worried about? My optimism What’s one thing you most want to see this season? Monga score a wonder goal Which player is going to surprise us? Soumare Which player do you most want out the door? Jannik Which player linked with a move are you most desperate to keep? Bilal Will Martí Cifuentes still be the manager this time next year? Yes

Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21

Which is all about £110 mil. And we are yet to realise the value of the current crop. -
Ipswich utter crap but the EFL gods still giving them the rub of the green. Cant wait to see Abdul and Monga playing against that defense. Birmingham did alright there, but think they are going to find it tough if they lose their heads easily. The way we played against Fiorentina makes me feel like we are in a good spot for this season.

Wilfred Ndidi Joins Beşiktaş On Permanent Deal

Didnt see that one coming. -
Someone once wrote he should be a 40million keeper. Therefore - he should be! You get a grip. We should be getting 40 mil for him now, after one PL season where he spent a lot of it injured and leaked a lot of goals. Love Mads - lovely bloke. Met him a few times at the ground. He will go to the top. But i think 18m is actually about right - prob favours West Ham but we have to sell.
-
But Man City haven't been relegated. We have been because out squad (that contained Mads) werent good enough. A lot of us rate Mads highly. But the market looks at things differently. Lets wait for official info, but i was never buying 20-25million valuations given on this forum.

He got to train with some pretty good footballers in Enzo's breakout season. A team who did well many competitions. These things bread winning mentality. Not been left hanging as dead wood as the club moved him on somewhere that he will likely be a nailed on starter. I would say its been a good season for him. Certainly better than playing in a team that lost everyweek and couldn't score a goal for months.
-
Sold for pretty much what he was bought for right? Sell ons are only on any profit made.
-
Starting to think he is staying, and he played because he actually needed match fitness.

Yup. Sort of game where our team tries to implement a strategy but misfires in the final 3rd, and they defend like heros and score 2 bangers. -
Good. Really want our players to play. In the warm up they looked in good spirits though.
-
I agree, but if we can get rid of Mads for 20mil min then thats excellent profit when we have another good keeper ready. We aren't going to be in a position to make 15 mil profit from Bilal right now.
-
I want Soumare gone but if noone takes him then we have to consider him an option. But, Soumare didnt get us relegated twice. The team he played in did. Soumare didn't feature as much in the first relegation season but agreed played a lot last season.
-
Guys a unit.
-
I think this will be where he excels. It just make take a while for him to progress there.
-
Which is absolutely perfectly fine. I am sure Sheffield Wednesday won't have such a capable full back. Mavi gets the nod right now, but with lots of games and fluctuations in form, there is plenty of game time there for him.
-
This is exactly what we were saying. Lets hope it was just to measure fitness as he had very little to do and some of the long kicking was poor. Was definitely saying goodbye as he went around the ground.
-
Bye Wilf. He knows he has to accept that. Had some great moments but we have to move on.
-
We got there in plenty of time and walked straight in to watch the warmup. Half the food outlets were closed (its preseason). I am sure we will get there in plenty of time next week and walk straight through, and as usual i won't bother using any of the food / drink outlets.

Lots of doom mongering on here before the game. I actually had a good day out with my boy. And yes he got the new shirt. He likes it - looks good on him. In H1 it was as full as a an early Caribou cup game. Obvs missed the whole singing section but a really enjoyed a half decent pre season game. Fiorentina were clearly miles behind us in pre season and using today to get ready for bigger challenges in the week. Although, their players looked pretty rattled and annoyed at time which made me feel they didn't expect us to be as good as we were. I was really impressed with the pressing, especially in the first half. You could clearly see the pressing shape and tactics at play, and the Fiorentina players hated it. Be interesting to see how this plays out in the Championship, as Fiorentina continued to play out the back but i think many Championship teams won't bother. I think many of the better teams in the championship wont like this. Fatawu is simply class and fans around me loved him. Mavididi looked quick and caused problems, and Ayew on the whole was ok. Jannik made a few mistakes early on and Mads looked rusty with his feet (funny after seeing all the criticisms of Jakub on this). What was the point of playing Mads? Impressed with Okoli and felt Skipp did ok. Bilal had his best preseason game. Soumare had one of the best games ive seen him in (although i would still want him gone). Felt the younger players should have been given more time and i would have liked to have seen Alves. Monga was right in front of us and struggled. There were a few times when we won the ball high up the pitch and the midfielder was looking for him straight away but he failed to get into position quickly. I think he was a bit over awed by quite a big defender who clattered him towards the end. Its a reminder that the kid will need more time to grow into a game and not always light up the pitch. On the whole - i still think we get great things from him but Mavi and Fats start. Lots to feel good about. Still need some out goings. But loving the press we play and it works!

He seems to score goals. There was a bit of falling over - but on the whole he was ok today. -
I sat in H1 and got to see Monga up close in the 2nd half. Mavididi has to start over him, but surely he will be used a lot in the season.
