  1. Once again the Lawyers win. If only as much effort was put into supporting the grass routes and diversity of the overall game, rather than ensuring the big boys can asset strip clubs at will. They'll take you best performers and your academy kids. If you stop being a compliant feeder club, then we are coming for you.
  2. And Brendan probably still spits blood that he wasn't backed.
  3. What he is going to do
  4. I feel people are particularly unfair on him. He's not going to be a superstar, but he has improved and continues to improve. At 23 there is still a lot of improving he can do. Next year could be his time to shine.
  5. He was trying to do more. He was holding the ball for longer and the Ipswich players got wind of this and pressed him quickly. He will learn from it, and there are probably times he will just have to stick to the basics. Many higher rated goalkeepers (Mads included) have got caught out doing the same. Harsh imho. I think he has been better than Mads post Mads' injury. If you look at the PL as a whole, he is barely rated at all. He has a good career ahead of him but he needs game time.
  6. I'm emotionally drained today. My son spent the whole morning saying yesterday wasn't such a big deal, but i think we burned about 1000 calories each when that goal went in. We were all pretty silent in the car, and have all been arguing today.
  7. I think Leeds pull the trigger on Farke quite quickly and will likely make a good appointment. If any scrape through - its them.
  8. And i think you see Forest and probably Brentford drop off. This could be a good season to get promoted.
  9. Without Enciso, Hutchinson, Davis and Delap Ipswich are pretty bare. They don't have the depth that our academy can bring to the table.
  10. Ipswich spent pretty big. McKenna won 1 PL game this year. We are comparing different layers of poo to be honest.
  11. Lot of games in the Championship, and Kasey is ironically one of the more experienced players. I fear Fatawu will spend the first part of the season recovering from niggling injuries as you would expect following an ACL, and still a big question mark over Alves although the loan showed promise. Mavadidi is interesting as he blows hot and cold. I think he has a big part to play next season, and he gives a shit. Ideally a good Championship season leads to a decent sale at the end of the season?
  12. He didn't. Cooper had the summer transfer window and a completely fully fit squad, and he played some of the most turgid unstructured crap i have ever seen with some of the most baffling lineups i've ever seen. Cooper was the worst modern era manager i had ever seen at the KP. Cooper doesn't have some sort of stand out record vs Ruud. The reality is that both couldn't get this squad to over achieve. However, towards the end Ruud has approached it as a project and i do think this has lead to an uptick in performances with a good focus on development talent. I oddly see us 12th in the 6th game form table - i know this doesn't mean much, but i think momentum into next season is important and we are the only one of the relegated teams who has any. I bet many on here would either recommend Ipswich keep McKenna or even take him. With a pretty lumpy transfer kitty (and taking players like Szmodics who many here were desperate for) he mustered 4 wins and and i think they have managed 1 PL victory this calendar year (i think?). Its tough at the bottom end of the table if you don't get things right. Its odd. I thought 30 points might be enough at the start of the season. If (a big if) we win against Bournemouth then we end on 28 points. In the end about 40 points were needed, and if they were in real trouble Spurs and Man U would have pulled the triggers on their managers and sorted themselves out. This was not a season to give hope to the promoted teams.
  13. Brilliant today. Well done!
  14. Mustard
  15. They had 2 shots on target. We had 3. I do think we were the much better team, and am far more excited about our prospects next season with who we have coming through. I'd like a change, but i would support giving it to Ruud. We've finished the season with some momentum and i think the style we are playing will be just right next year. Loved Riccy doing the inverted stuff again. We look much better with him on.
  16. It doesnt really matter to me. He has no pace nor any ability to drive forward. When he gets the ball he has 3 options; go left, go right or fall over. He does hold the ball up well for sure, but this isn't the future for us.
  17. I don't think that necessary. Just remember him for being an amazing no 9 and let other compete to become future ones.
  18. Then we need to start Patson. He has the funniest dive ive ever seen.
  19. That day most of the team was pissed.
  20. Has Will Still taken his GCSC's yet (i mean his coaching badges).
  21. Oh shit - its match day. That day.
  22. And the absurd luck they had to come up in the first place and the absurd luck they had in their first season up.
  23. Goal in the 9th minute. It has to be.
  24. Why are you presuming that he wants to? Everyone deserves a new challenge, a new chapter. Vardy owes us nothing. He might have 1 season left in him and he has every right to play there somewhere else and not grinding through another season in the Championship.
  25. Oh now come off it! They spent about £25mil alone on Beto and there have been plenty of high value incomings at Everton. They are hardly one of the poor kids in the league. It amazing how being will bend the facts to support an argument.
