Haven't really played since FIFA 18 - have they bothered to improve career mode at all in the meantime? That'd be the only reason I picked it up tbh, I sometimes liked the more arcade-y career mode as opposed to tryharding a FM save.

Much prefer this to letting him leave on a free. Does a job for us, local, academy graduate, and probably worth about 8-10m on the current market. I'd rather keep him then use our limited funds to sign somebody for 8m to replace him.

Obviously he wasn't a good signing in the context of promotion to the prem and wanting players to build off of long term, but he hasn't been nearly as bad as people make out.
