Can Top genuinely do anything to get all the fans back on board? Previously, I thought replacing Rudkin would do this, but genuinely think that too much incompetency has tarnished KPFC.

I think it’s because we have players like Abdul, Stephy, Monga and JJ etc. With that quality, you’d expect us to be pretty decent going forward. Yet, we have looked absolutely toothless in a lot of matches. Look at the Watford game, we had ample time to get back into the game but can’t remember one “half chance” after going 2-1 down.

We actually agree on our points. Whilst I still stand with my moments comment re: Marti. He’s more Cooper than Enzo in that regard. Which is why, I chipped in and commented that we have a very average manager in Marti. As for the pace of play, I’m confident you referenced this last year too, Forest being the clear case study as evidence too. I couldn’t agree more, Arsenal last night also showed how you can comfortably win a game at home with less possession and passes too (but appreciate that’s a different matter all together). I

Is that not symptomatic of Marti’s lack of identity? He is a moments manager, Cooper was the same and just hoped that individual quality would make the difference. Look at how Enzo had them all walking up and down the pitch during pre-season, whilst some may say it was overly rigid, but he at least had clear patterns of play.

That’s ignoring Marti’s tactics are pretty much nullifying our wingers. I’ve been frustrated with Stephy and Abdul about some of their decision making but our lack of attacking intent under Marti needs calling out.

He was absolutely hideous last night. The fact he’s got the number 9 shirt is borderline embarrassing.

In Stephy’s defence, Monga and Silko actually cut off the passing lines. For some bizarre reason, they didn’t run into space and made it more congested. Another reason that I’m so anti Marti, he doesn’t seem to coach any players/patterns of play.

Completely agree. Any winger with any ounce of pace, must lick their lips with excitement of playing against him. His lunging in and taking himself out of the game weren’t punished in this game, unlike others and that’s why he’s been given a bit more credit IMO.

Skipp isn’t irreplaceable but so many other positions are more important - CF, LB and RB as Ricky isn’t the long term answer, all spring to mind before needing to replace Skipp.

Funny how little to zero credit was given to Skipp for last night. I thought he had a very solid game, a couple of times he showed a bit of bite to win the ball.

Thomas was fine at what was asked for him when he came on. However, he doesn’t get close to fixing the issue of desperately needing a proper number 9.

He was better than his usual 4/10 performances, but he is so limited that it hurts to watch. He often gets beaten by his winger hence his rugby tackle/shirt tug defending. But as others have said, his lunge in and get taken out of the game is a genuine issue, we were lucky that Derby are rubbish and didn’t punish those consistent errors, it happened 2/3 times at least.

Playing Ayew in 2025, is like playing a CB who’s picked up a knock but you’ve made all your available subs. With him just slowly meandering around the pitch.

This doesn’t get commented on enough, he genuinely got the job here for two reasons: 1) He was cheap 2) He mentioned Barcelona in his interview Marti might be a lovely bloke but he’s an awful manager, we are and will be the biggest club that he’ll ever manage.

Marti, like a lot of modern day managers are genuine fraudsters. What makes him think that the same 11 (minus the broken Ricky P) and same turgid, rudderless tactics will work? Do the players just turn up and demand to play? Because, it genuinely feels that way.

I dislike everything about Martin but he’s clearly a better coach than Marti 👀

Football fans are fickle and making noise because they’re doing well but it’s been the same for us over recent years. However, I totally agree about how shocking it is that we’ve clearly fallen below Coventry. They actually have players who chase lost causes, get the ball to their attacking players quickly and had a box of 5 when Ipswich’s keeper had the ball in his box. Our club, squad and manager all stink!!
