Serious Ayew vibes for me. Most on here weren’t up for his signing when the rumours started doing the rounds. Some said that those posters were “being snobby”, or “we were in League One, never forget!”. As predicted Ayew has been a pretty dreadful signing on a hefty wedge.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid joins permanently - Official
SafewayFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Credit where credit is due to Bobby. But he was a hideous signing last summer, we lost our best CM in KDH yet for a very bizarre reason never tried to replace him with a like for like player. If Bilal or Facundo were playing as the 10 (yeah I said it) in this grotty league, they’d have even greater numbers as they’re better players especially in 2025. As others have said, signing Bobby to play out wide and was often started alongside Vardy and Ayew as a front three, was always going to get the honking outcome that we all witnessed last season. -
100% Our spend on wages was not reflective with the transfer fee of 90% of our signings. We shopped in the bargain bin but then paid the player an elite salary, terrible business acumen when say it that bluntly.

LCFC 3-1 Ipswich, post-match thread
SafewayFox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
No Faes and Winks and the players put on a collective performance. We need to learn from our mistakes and never pay such silly wages, so when you realise we have an absolute dosser on our books that we can’t move him on. Pearson doesn’t do his legendary rebuild with the wage structure that we have right now, as a prime example. -
Sadly in 2025, football isn’t about creative freedom and every team (even in non league) play Pep style football. I actually hate that fact but relying on players to “take chances for themselves” is what Cooper did and we had no style of play and relied on moments. Marti is actually a poor man’s Cooper, let that reality sink in 😢

Where’s the “Marti in?” post gone?

Thomas is such a brain dead footballer. If you want to punish yourself, re-watch his involvement with their first goal, he is genuinely so bad it hurts. How we’ve got him cosplaying as a professional footballer for another 3+ years is criminal.

Very smart play from Bobby there. Carranza should take note as he had an unhealthy knack at hiding behind a defender. -

Abdul was bloody great there but what horrible defending, VKesque. -

You’d have to sprint for any muscle injury though? 👀 -
Pre Match - Bristol City (A) Dec 10th 7:45pm

Sky+ matches aren’t on Sky Go from memory but can watch it on the Sky Sports app on your phone. 99% sure that’s right and haven’t just talked Brendan Rodgers tosh. -
He has an imposing figure in the back line. Jannik whilst a giant has shown numerous times as a bit of a light weight. Okoli is young and raw but the jury is out. Faes is a dosser. That would be my FM CB report.

I’ve seen absolutely nothing about Silko to think he’ll have a career at this level.
-
The problem though is if a toss up between him and Wout, he is an improvement. But, I totally agree that the praise he gets on here is way OTT at times.
-
As others have said, what are you even trying to achieve by posting on here? You do realize that we’ve had 100’s of other players at our club (in recent years) and could count on one hand how many aunties/cousins (not sure about your actual relationship with Wout) have come on here to badmouth us/defend their relative’s honour. Enjoy the F1 and log out please.

What a great podcast that covers off most of our anger but then has you howling picturing Ric have a full blown argument with ChatGPT over the technicality of playing a hippo up top! Top effort chaps!! -
Can I retract this comment now? The little dosser can get in the bin.

Sheffield United H Match Thread

The kids wanting to go out for lunch when we’re playing used to be frowned upon. Now, it’s the dream. Only noticed how hideous we are when had my notification go off for my bet (Shef Utd to win both halves). -
How much would anyone genuinely accept for Abdul? I’m thinking 35/40m would be too hard to turn down surely? We wouldn’t spend it wisely so a waste but his value, the longer that he stays with us is likely going one way.
-
Yet, you could argue that he played a huge part in the goal. It was nearly a carbon copy of the goals we have already conceded this season, with Preston and West Brom games springing to mind.
-
Let’s say that it was Enzo that forced for Jannik to get a new deal. At what stage would any manager have the input to state the length of said deal? How many clubs (successful ones in particular) give out more than 1 year deals with an option of another year to 30+ players? We’re a total shambles.

I feel like I should just copy and paste my comments on your pod gents. Great pod again, Ric with his usual hilarious self, Jake being a great host and Jordan slowly becoming more annoyed with the club make it a worthwhile listen, everytime!! -
Southampton 3-0 LCFC, post-match thread
SafewayFox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Top post. I remember going to Fratton Park in 2010 and being humiliated and losing 6-1 but I knew that once we unpicked the error of Sousa that we’d be ok. We could (and should) sack Marti but nothing will improve. Our wage bill is out of control, we have the same dossers in charge who created this and have zero scouting network so will continue to just overpay awful players from lazy agent referrals. -
He’s the best of a bad bunch but he must be so easy to play against. He has zero upper body strength and think my three year old would win a 50/50. He runs around a lot but his “pace” is never on show as his brain is about 2 seconds slower than everyone else on the pitch.
