  1. Maybe it’s this Dan Levy, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Levy_(Canadian_actor). Think I’d prefer that, funny guy!
  2. Wondered about him before but at times we have been at a higher level than we are now. Given how well he is doing and where we are at, it wouldn’t be the worst shout. Or Kompany.
  3. Yes they are, the poster you quoted highlighted team in capitals to emphasise what he/she meant. Newcastle most definitely are a better team than us. Whether they have the more talented individuals is a different question but individuals aren’t a sustainable way to win games, a collective team is which we are not.
  4. I really wanted to see how we came back from the break and whether he could keep the momentum up but this is as bad as anything! The level of regression in the side in the past two years is scary. The squad is so much weaker and the assets such as Maddison and Barnes fewer and far between. We are not in a good place. This is a slow decline….
  5. Apparently Nino ‘apologised’ to Fofana too. They are made to do it for PR so means nothing if it’s a forced apology. Doesn’t mean he feels remorseful.
  6. I disagree with online abuse shit completely. Serves no purpose. The judgement on him is based on his actions. Alves’s team mates wouldn’t be condemning him on social media as per what people have posted on here to the extent their are if it wasn’t to do with the players attitude not just the challenge. I.e bragging about doing it deliberately. That behaviour is generally learned behaviour from a child’s upbringing. He should get a lengthy ban and it should be dealt with by Wolves.
  7. Similar level to Fer Nino on Fofana for me. Wes has put in a hard but fair challenge a couple of minutes before and that was pure revenge from Nino with no attempt to get the ball and to harm only. He was not at all remorseful either. Wolves fans going on about Voice apologising after and calling him a good lad for doing so. If what has been said about him doing it deliberately is true, it’s clearly a forced/PR apology not meant. Same with any apology from Nino after the event. Morton was different as it seemed unintentional but stupid. Nino and Voice are both scum.
  8. Looked it up, seems he did get a yellow but was not enough. More annoying it was Liverpool and I’m sure he was made out to be the victim by them lot. Given it was after Klopp’s media campaign against Hamza, even more infuriating!
  9. Agreed not on the level of the other 3, I do remember it as leaving a boot in knowingly but may be remembering wrong. Came to mind as a challenge that left a shocking injury on one of ours anyway which I came remember any the other way round. Even Choudhury on Salah, Salah was straight back up again.
  10. I don’t know if it’s just because we are all just aware of what happens with our players but more oblivious to other teams but I can’t remember a case in recent memory of a Leicester player causing a serious injury to an opposition player. Can anyone else? There’s been bad challenges from Vardy and Perez against West Ham and Was and Benny have been mentioned but I genuinely can’t remember a case compared to any of the below; Voice on Alves Nino on Fofana Tyler Morton on Ricardo Grealish on Ricardo And those are just what come to mind. Is it just bad luck? Why do our players seem to be on the recovering end of these deliberate assault like challenges. Nino was the worse that we stayed on the pitch and scored! Not that I agree with social media witch hunts. Clearly that Voice kid is from a bad family as you wouldn’t do something like that otherwise but it reflects badly on our fan base (not that o give a shit about him). I would support a rule change that players be retrospectively banned for the length of a recovery time of a player they have maimed. That would be appropriate. We may be on the other end of that at some point but it’d be right. It’s not a criminal matter though, to be honest this Voice kid will probably have criminal charges against him for something in future but not for this.
  11. Nothing ongoing, I like to do the food bank thing but it never feels particularly rewarding as it is something you’d have to do constantly to make a true difference. At the start of the first lockdown we bought a shit load of toilet rolls from Costco and took it all to the food bank which felt good when everyone in the shop was falling over each other for their own selfish reasons. Most recently, we bought a few gifts for the Hallam FM (live in Sheffield so that’s Gem in Leicestershire) Mission Christmas for Kids. That feels good as at my last job we nominated families in need (worked for a Housing Association) so have seen the difference it makes for parents and kids who are struggling.
  12. Just seen the tv picks, shocking choices. Liverpool v Wolves and Man Utd v Everton 🤦‍♂️ Completely missing the point with the meaning of ‘cup’!
  13. Said to my wife about Madders not coming on that he must have kicked Southgate’s cat. Her response, ‘Why did he put him in the squad then’ Will let her off, she is 39 weeks pregnant so will not take the piss!
  14. She should be fined for riding illegally and a community service for wasting court time. Same as that one further up the page suing the food producer
  15. Not into politics, not a fan of the Tories and did find Hancocks face punchable during the ‘covid briefings’. Also only dipped in and out of this series of IACGMOOH. But, I find the faux outrage nauseating. - He cheated on his Mrs. So did Seann Walsh who was in it. Yes nobody should do that. He is still with her so at least it was not just a ‘fling’. It was wrong but not a reason to target him. - In the process of doing the above, broken covid rules. Should have known better but so did loads of people. I haven’t the energy to hold that against anyone now despite following the guidance myself. - Left his constituency. Probably not the most sensible thing but simpletons making it sound like the constituents are just left with nothing happening. Do people not realise that they have big teams working there and things will still happen. Probably the people who think when they contact their MP about the neighbours cat crapping on their lawn that the reply is actually sent by the MP him/herself! Basically get over it and judge what you see on the show. The other contestants behaviour towards him on the bits I saw riled me more!
  16. Don’t want to open that as it’ll be click bait and don’t want to give the satisfaction but….
  17. Sums up how I see things. Fair play to everyone involved including Rodgers on the improvement. I think the break has come at a bad time for us so I think I need to see how we come back from the break and whether we carry on in the same vein to be fully convinced but looks good right now!
  18. Yes. I still think he has passed his best days he will have with us (and yes the cup win and back to back 5th places set the bar high so there’s nothing wrong with that). Of course we are all happy with the improvement in recent weeks and fair enough to BR for his part in that. Ultimately, I still feel, at this moment in time, we are more happy due to an improvement on the incredible levels of mediocrity (at best) and shit (at worse) that he himself has set. Has he achieved anything by beating Forest, Wolves, Leeds and Everton that we wouldn’t expect from another manager with this squad? I’d say no. Yes the away wins have been very good wins but also more surprising due to the such poor away form in this calendar year. The need to sack him that was there in the international break between Spurs and Forest is not there, at least not urgently and unless we plummet again. However if we were to be paid for him going elsewhere, do it!
  19. Agreed, he is now knuckling down for when the Chelsea job becomes available again in March! Would have been Feb time but you know, World Cup break.
  20. Think this hits the nail on the head. Plenty saying they prefer Wout (myself included as he is a better fit for the team) and plenty saying Fofana world class etc etc. I do think he was over-rated in hindsight by most of us really. Not to say he isn’t a great player with potential but we were crap on defence with him and he had none of the leadership skills and ability to read the game that Faes has.
  21. Disagree with the first bit. The poster you replied to spoke in the past tense. At that point he absolutely could have had no complaints about being sacked. Not many people could honestly say they expected him to turn it around or at least to the extent in the last 7 games. Second part agreed, other than it may be too soon to say unfounded. Let’s take it as it comes. I agree that if it was purely about results then it’s easier to flip flop quickly between whereas if you have deeper issues with him and how he has conducted himself it will take much more than a run of 7 games which have been favourable on paper.
  22. It’s a tough one, I have tried to explain my thoughts about above. Basically, of course no he doesn’t need sacking urgently as things have picked up. However given the run of fixtures, we have picked up the minimum points we should have really (with the points thrown away at Bournemouth and the fact we’d expect to beat Palace at home, you could say we could/should have had more). Of course given how bad we were the first 7 games, we are all rightly delighted but the fact we have 1 point per game now after the run recently just illustrates how bad it was. I think also if you are not a fickle back and forwards purely based on what happens on the pitch and have opinions based on other facts such as his behaviour, it is not as simple as saying ok then BR back in and a new 10 year contract (Top probably would as well)!! I want to see he can keep it up after the WC and that he doesn’t turn again if he doesn’t get his own way in the January window. At the end of last season I wanted him gone as I didn’t want him around for the supposed rebuild which never happened. It definitely will next summer though but with Congerton gone and Glover in, if the club has taken control back this is less of a concern.
  23. I’m starting to get ‘better fit for the team’ vibes from him though (than Kasper). Plus Kasper was coming towards the end of his career. Kasper also was great when he had a solid defence (Morgan, Huth etc) but we were a shambles in defence with him in goal for some time and he has very obvious weaknesses. Ward was poor earlier in the season but this is a guy who had barely played so I’m starting to think more than he just needed time to settle in and let’s be honest the club was all over the place in the first 7 games so not easy to do that. Kasper had amazing highs with us such as the saves in the FA cup final and of course the Championship and Premier League title wins but Ward seems like he may be more consistent/solid without the extreme highs and stand out for the cameras performances but also not the lows. Time will tell anyway!
  24. A central defender is not about flashy ball skills, it’s about being solid and forming a good partnership and wanting to defend. So Faes for me. In fact Faes and Big Dan look more solid than Fofana and Evans did. Fofana seemed to be your ‘secondary’ CB who needs to play alongside a particular partner to keep a solid defence. Big Wes in his prime or the free kick maestro Huth with Fofana could have been great but Fofana wasn’t about to make such an impact on the defensive form even if he looked flashy.
  25. Still Rodgers out but not venomously as before and not in the sense it is urgent. I think he does deserve credit for his part (certainly not all down to him) in the last 7 games and we do look so much better. Still the comments about transfers and difficult summer so he is still in self preservation mode. I feel he more or less single handedly sabotaged the start of the season with his negative and destructive attitude and following how poor (performance wise) we’d been last season and for some time, he was lucky to get the chance to turn it around. I personally want to see the following before I could begin to forget that; 1 - The break is not coming at a good time for us being so in form. Coming back after the World Cup, will we pick up where we have left off or reverted back. If we carry on, this will be a positive sign of how he has used the time with the squad. 2 - How he responds to the January window. He is already making noises of 4 additions. No idea how realistic this is but if it’s underwhelming as our recent Januarys have been, can he remain positive and not revert to start of the season Brendan? If he can handle those things well, it should be reviewed at the end of the season. Just no contract extension for him Top! Managers often get booted too soon though, we are one of a few examples where we repeatedly give managers more time (not that you’d think it from the media post Claudio) so it is refreshing to see Wolves who binned Lage when he wasn’t doing too badly bottom and bottom of the form table since and us turning it around.
