  1. Biggest difference I have seen is in the early games, such as Dasilva for Brentford, they were longer distance strikes due to Big Dan backing off, not putting his body in the way. Tonight he was like prime Big Wes in that respect!
  2. Fair enough, hadn’t looked it up. He appears much shorter. He was awful a few weeks back so has turned it round really well so he may get better in the area you highlighted as he grows in confidence further hopefully!
  3. I always think he looks quite short for a keeper isn’t he? Been impressed with him recently anyway, stopped everything he has needed to, looked more assured at playing out and coming for crosses and corners. The one tonight where he was bundled into the net, by coming to claim it, as a keeper you will win the decision. Kasper would have stayed routed to his line and not won the decision and relieved the pressure.
  4. “Everton made a number of signings, freshened up the team, with some experience signings. They look a good team.” He can’t help himself Rest is fair enough, a more positive attitude anyway.
  5. As per @Faceclothabove, think it was only Banks who scored anything for Leicester.
  6. On Pointless earlier, final round ‘The Year 1963’ and one of the categories, players who played in the FA cup final that year between Leicester and Man Utd. 30 years before I was born but managed to get a sneaky pointless answer in John Sjoeberg. Must admit to not recognising most names from that era!
  7. Can’t see much wrong with the set up and way it went today and this from a firm ‘Rodger’s Outer’ in myself. Possibly could have gone for it a bit sooner but Man City are excellent all over the pitch including closing games out. Daka could have brought that ball down but had he done this no doubt Ederson would have cleaned him out by the neck or something and gotten away with it like the numerous times he has before. On another note, how entitled are their ‘fans’. Their fan base must be made up of people who are newcomers and don’t remember what they used to be or those who have forgotten. The amount of times they look down on teams approaching games like we did, and it comes from Guardiola too, and call us shit and say we deserve to go down because we didn’t ‘try to play’. Not everybody can have minimum 2 players per position that cost at least £50mill and spend multiple billions of oil money on the team. Just needed to get that off my chest and their superior complex really bugs me to the point I’d rather Arsenal win the title!
  8. Not seen the comments from Rodgers re Haaland just the comments above but it doesn’t have to be either wishing him a longer injury or hoping he plays. If I was Rodgers asked about Haaland I may have just said; “He’s a great player and I hope he is not out long but I can’t deny it is one less worry for us tomorrow although Man City have very dangerous alternatives” As others have said, no biggie anyway, just pointing out an alternative answer to the question…
  9. I think a lot (including myself) have been about more than the football for a while so it’d be fickle to start not wanting him out due to a couple of good results against teams we should be beating. What is does do, is make it less pressing as we are less likely to be cut adrift by the World Cup than we were a couple of weeks ago. @Freeman's Wharfersummed it up with this, I’ll never be back to Rodgers In. And this is because my being Rodgers Out has been about more than just performances and results. He was willing to ruin the club for self-preservation and showed an incredible lack of respect to the fans, the board and the club. I don’t believe we have turned a corner with Rodgers because of the result today, but even if we have I’ll never have any degree of warmth towards him again
  10. Still Brendan out. No amount of wins will change that as he has shown his colours as a person and I’ve never seen a manager be so disrespectful to fans, owner and players. He’s toxic and despite a great win today, we had 4 shots on target and scored them whilst conceding 21 shots. On another day we are punished for that. Wolves are shocking and we can’t rely on scoring every shot we have!
  11. Out and that won’t change, too much water gone under the bridge with his attitude, disrespect of the club and supporters as well as the shit style of play. All wins do and if we were to pick up a couple more on the trot and pull out of trouble, is make it less pressing but he still needs to go. He hasn’t got the ambition for a club at our level (Premier League).
  12. Much needed win. Thought Ward looked much better, even collected corners! 7 points from 12 looks better and 3 home clean sheets is better although given the last 4 fixtures, really should have been more than 7 but an improvement on the run before that. Praet looked a good outlet on the right. Unfortunately can’t feel positive as I don’t trust Rodgers not to undo it in the next game, probably drop Praet right away and chuck Madders back on the right. Still Rodgers out, win was despite him and in zero way something he helped impact.
  13. Seeing all this shite in one place is too much For me the ones that are really up their beyond the others are; That it was too hot on Saturday! Ffs I run warm and struggle with higher temperatures a bit earlier than most might but it was like 15 degrees, sunny and dry. Literally perfect conditions for football! The we were happy to stay up when he arrived. Yes ok so 14th when newly promoted, 1st, 12th, 9th and 9th! Absolute BS but now he has turned us into a club who will be grateful just to stay up. I don’t disagree with him saying 40 points is the target for this season but whose fault is that! The West Brom game as mentioned above. That showed his colours and was very concerning.
  14. I have switched off from it for the most part. There was a time I’d either be at the game or if not be watching it on TV. Today I just caught the last half hour as I was with the wife shopping in ASDA! And I was in absolutely no rush and had no desire to watch it…. Same for football on the whole though really.
  15. Probably more likely they give him a new contract!
  16. Are we at the point where we want Villa to beat Forest despite Villa being 16th as we re playing for 19th place above Forest now?
  17. Either you have put the wrong name here or please apply the bolded bit above to yourself!
  18. This sums it up for me too. I will always want him gone now as I can’t stand the man he is and the behaviour he has shown. Not to mention the scarily fast decline on the pitch. However, if results improve and performances to an extent, it will be a less urgent and desperate situation.
  19. Ward is a strange one. It seems true that goalkeepers in general are less likely to be dropped than a player putting a bad performance(a) outfield. I suppose how you done see GK subs for tactical reasons either. However, we came into the season with 2 GKs that nobody really felt they could choose between, most of us probably preferring Iverson as younger and had been playing regularly. But it does stink of Rodgers stubbornness. He has no problem throwing other players under the bus to save his own skin after one bad performance (think that was the case with Castagne) yet he actively goes out his way to stick up for Ward….
  20. I think mostly A, possibly a bit of B but not a terrible manager but whether premier league ready more to the point. I’m not sure manager managers could make a success of that player turnover though. Would have him here over the poison one.
  21. He’d probably miss the point of International management and be in the press saying how is he expected to reach finals when the FA wouldn’t let him buy Ederson off Brazil so he had to play Pickford and they wouldn’t let him buy Van Dijk off Holland! So he had to play the fridge!
  22. Agreed he’ll not likely be here in January but if say he was, it’d be a loan with purchase if we stayed up. He certainly wouldn’t come on a permanent in January with it likely to go down.
  23. This would just be embarrassing really. Being in a position for one where we would take a player that Palace aren’t using would show how far we have fallen. Also being a player in a position we needed, from local rivals in financial ruin, available for pennies (in football terms). Why was the club oblivious to this signing in the summer!
  24. He hasn’t personally insulted Top, ok maybe a bit extreme saying every day is wasted etc but why do you think Top is exempt from criticism? We are in free fall at the minute, badly run from top to bottom, no direction and by all accounts, in a mess financially. Who knows where the free fall will end? It could easily take us down as far as our previous low (League One) if not halted. This, well it’s ok because we won the league and cup once attitude is part of the problem imo. Top does need to stand up and prove he can put this right and get the club back on track as otherwise it’ll just seem more and more like the success was down to Vichai and Vichai alone….
