  1. Am I the only one that thinks we’re one of the only fan bases that really ever talk about the sponsor on our kit? Maybe it’s because we had Walkers and King Power for years which people felt closer to (King Power at the time of success). Never hear any other fans talk about it the way ours do.
  2. I’d argue Villa and Newcastle have hardly struggled. Common factor with them both though is that they’ve spent a lot of money to compete.
  3. Musa we flipped a profit on, at least. So you could argue Edouard has been more costly than him.
  4. They haven’t been
  5. Still think we should be treating McAteer as someone who is in their third season of adult development rather than saying "fully-developed".
  6. I couldn’t disagree more. Manning seems like to me a manager that’s very good for mid table Championship clubs (like we see at Bristol City) where he gets the most out of his resources without developing an ideology or style of play to build upon. People take the piss out of Russell Martin but he genuinely has the potential to be a real top manager when you look at the way he develops players and teams. It’s just whether or not he can change the mentality of some of his sides and get them to become more rounded.
  7. Lucas Stassin from St. Etienne https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lucas-stassin/profil/spieler/655012
  8. Weird, Flekken has been good for them this season
  9. 3-5 years in the Championship will only make us weaker. Key to survival is having a good transfer window after promotion. Longer we are in the Championship the worse off we are financially.
  10. Would people say Josh Cullen, Ilya Gruev and Hamza Choudhury are all comfortably better than Skipp? They’re the 3 players who play the same role as he does in the top 3 teams in the Championship this season. He’ll be fine.
  11. Kone Not sure 4 minimum - a GK, centre-midfielder, number 10 and striker (Mads, Ndidi, BEK and Vardy replacements) Ndidi Ndidi and Kristiansen - genuinely think VK has a lot of potential, still very young, but very much doubt he stays. Mads, I'm not too bothered about as it was inevitable and Stolarczyk will make a decent replacement.
  12. We would have lost Kasper, Mahrez and Vardy in addition to Kante after winning the league if we had this method. Never would have signed Tielemans permanently, either.
  13. I don’t think people realise just how far off Birmingham and Wrexham’s first team squad is off of ours in terms of ability. They’ll both do well to be pushing play-offs next season.
  14. Ricardo? Mavididi? Justin? Castagne? Fofana? Evans? Soyuncu?
  15. Am I being stupid or have they not lifted the trophy?
  16. In England, I agree, but I imagine his reputation abroad isn’t that bad as he’s had spells where he’s played well internationally for Belgium.
  17. He had two years extra on his book value last time, so we would have had to sell him for about £12m to break even. Pretty sure we can sell him for about £6m in the summer. Rough estimates, not sure on actual figures.
  18. Think West Ham are more likely to be in trouble.
  19. This feels like the perfect comeuppance for Forest after having the flukiest outperformance of xG ever. On the day they actually create decent chances they can’t put them in.
  20. The Forest fan on the overlap fan’s discussion made me laugh. ‘Look at Leicester and Portsmouth, I’d rather have Champions League than win the FA Cup’. Mate we won the league, got champions league and have won the FA Cup. You’ve done nothing.
  21. Ward and Faes are the two for me as you could have spent that money on nearly anyone else valued at similar prices and put them into that relegation side and we wouldn’t have gone down.
  22. If you take transfer fee out of it he was fine. Unfortunately I understand that that is something to judge a signing itself on, but he didn’t dictate that. He was a competent Premier League footballer on his worst days, something that 90% of our squad now can’t have said about them.
  23. Only really works if you get a manager who plays 3 at the back and wing backs.
  24. Richard Kone
  25. Let’s not forget that Carsley has been blessed with arguably the most talented U21 team of all time, not just English, not just in the world currently, but ever. I don’t think it’s fair to rate him higher as a candidate than Martin who has had relative success at 3 clubs in the EFL or Dyche who has won promotion several times with Burnley.
