  1. ‘By Far The Greatest Team’ needs to get an airing far more often. It’s a classic and sounds great when in full voice like today. The same can be said for When You’re Smiling.
  2. Not intending to get too carried away, but hopefully today’s result will be a turning point for the season. The manager chose the right personnel and it paid off, when it could have very much gone the other way for him today.
  3. Pleased for the manager today.
  4. The current 'Old Ground' development on Filbert Street/Lineker Road has still referenced the stadium plans. "Being only a stone's throw away from these exciting new developments, The Old Ground is ideally placed to take advantage of the increase in rental demand these will bring to the local area." https://clann-investments.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/The-Old-Ground-Investment-Brochure-PDF_2-1.pdf
  5. The three blocks named after Shilton, Banks and Heskey was encouraging to see. Hopefully this will be in addition to the iconic entrance and not instead of. It’s perhaps more likely to be a case of the latter though.
  6. It was included in this document from September 2024. Hopefully the entrance does still get incorporated. https://propertylinkassets.estatesgazette.com/images/20240909/1-122152997.pdf
  7. The 'Old Ground' development is in progress, as of 5 months ago. https://clann-investments.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/The-Old-Ground-Investment-Brochure-PDF_2-1.pdf https://youtu.be/6s6RJRSuB-k?si=SMx67Pwtgqc7ZfDw
  8. This is exactly the type of match where we'll get outfought. I'm expecting this to be another defeat and possibly an even heavier one than Tuesday. They've assembled a good team at this level, and are probably still an outside bet for the play-offs.
  9. That's what a full end behind a goal can do. In fairness though, the atmosphere was decent there in the 1-0 defeat under Rodgers in 2023.
  10. Good to go into this on the back of two straight wins, but there still hasn't been enough (performance wise) to suggest we'll get points from tonight and Saturday. I think Southampton will win, potentially quite comfortably, and put an end to our good recent record against them. The 2-3 win there last season turned out to be one of the few highlights of Cooper's reign.
  11. The win wasn't deserved again which has been a recurring theme this season. Stoke deserved at least a point from the game.
  12. The last two have been far from convincing as wins, but pleased for the manager and hopefully it’s the start of a run. Performances are still way off where they need to be though.
  13. To add to this, not fully paying off the stadium in 2002 also plays into my thinking that a fresh start would at least be worth consideration. Again, this obviously isn't realistic, and the only real chance of getting a new stadium is with new, ambitious owners.
  14. I am having trouble removing a signature. I have tried to do it on both Chrome and Edge, and on the app shortcut on iPhone, but it still hasn't worked.
  15. It's coming up for a year since van Nistelrooy was appointed. The interview with Prime after his first game against West Ham was quite impressive, and it gave some confidence and optimism. Unfortunately, that's about as good as it got with the way the season unfolded. Not for one moment advocating that Ruud should have stayed, but it would have been interesting to see if he would have followed through on his plan for this season (building the team around homegrown players). There's obviously been criticism that Marti hasn't done this so far.
  16. "The plan is to appoint a new technical director to take control of recruitment and scouting." Claude Puel in the role of Technical Director or similar has been talked about as a suggestion on here before. He had a good track record of signings as manager (overall), and also placed emphasis on youth development/integrating academy players into the first team. Granted, Puel hasn't had any experience at board level but given that he hasn't managed since 2021, he may well see his future in a role like this.
  17. I’m going to scale back slightly on this comment. The chant may not be to my liking just yet, but I can see why it has caught on. The part about it being ridiculed was also probably unnecessary to say.
  18. Sorry but completely disagree on this one. If it was the other way round, and our local rivals were singing about a player to this tune, it would be ridiculed.
  19. It's clear why some of the players don't like the fanbase. "Not fit to wear the shirt" after going behind to then "we love you Leicester we do" at full-time. Of course wins should be celebrated for what they are, despite the wider problems, but to be taken seriously as fans, it can't just swing like that. There's a time and a place for certain chants, and in my opinion, the overall performance didn't warrant an overly positive reaction. As a side note, thought Norwich's support was decent especially at the start, considering where they are in the league.
  20. Good response after their goal though to be fair.
  21. He needed that but Norwich gave away the three points.
  22. Cooper was given 15 games in all competitions. Tomorrow is the 15th league game of the season. So going by that time frame, Cifuentes will be moved on if it’s a defeat tomorrow. It’s always difficult to know the club’s thinking though especially these days.
  23. No wins at home all season versus one win in eleven. This will probably be yet another draw.
  24. I was thinking of creating a similar thread myself, so I don't think it was a bad idea. I would say it's only natural to try and have some balance, and to look for any small shoots of positivity. The club make it increasingly difficult to do so of course.
