Interesting how this luxury car tax affects the electric car market that already seems to be suffering. I didn’t realise it was already a thing on ICE cars. It’s around £600 per year on cars over £40k which to me is extremely excessive. £40k on a car isn’t as ‘luxury car’ as it used to be, especially on electrics where a big part of the cost is the battery. Also new cars are a lot more accessible nowadays with salary sacrifice schemes meaning people can make big tax savings on cars.

As someone who historically wouldn’t have missed this match for the world, I’m saddened to be in the situation where I wouldn’t be there if you paid me. I think he will get the sack once we’re officially relegated. I can only imagine we have a cheap break clause upon relegation but on the other hand that’d be too much like good planning.
