Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
iancognito replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
They're not making another change this season, it'd affect the financials which are clearly more precarious than anyone's letting on. Totally agree he's the wrong man wrong place wrong time but theyre accepting the disaster will happen with or without him being here. -

Not sure what sort of a hybrid this can be described as.... the last time I saw this many spare parts being thrown together to make something else, Frankenstein was an up and coming scientist.

A bit like the players who got pelters on here and then actually did well when given a chance? Nacho? Booed on and cheered off in 2020, got us to the cup final almost single handed in 2021 Vestergaard from crap to player of the season to crap again. There's countless more examples over the years but it says where we are as a fanbase that we're excited a young player we sold that's doing badly is worthy of a thread on its own.
-
Depends where you live but in the 90s it was just us and them for about 5 or 6 years.

We struggled to spend 1.3m in January. It reportedly cost £10m to get rid of Cooper and co, you'd imagine similar money, even half of that to get rid again and then bring new staff in. Break clauses work both ways, if you put one in place that benefits the club the agent will want a similar one allowing him to talk to other clubs. And then fans moan. We're broke and anyone worth a punt on isn't coming here to ruin their reputation in a March relegation scrap with no chance of fresh faces.

Thanks Dave Rennie

Effort's one thing but his scoring record is shocking for a winger. 1 goal in the last year.

The definitive list of King Power / John Rudkin c**k ups.

Harsh tbf He barely played and when he did Puel was bringing him on as a sub for Matty James. Another one who was decent everywhere but here. -
There must be 10 of these topics on the board, one a season for the last decade. Vardy isn't the issue in the team and even if he was our only current solution is Daka and that's like chopping your foot off to solve an ingrowing toenail. The back four look like strangers on a park. The midfield has the creativity of pre-school fingerprint session and our wide players are either too slow or too inhibited by the manager possibly dropping them again. The 38 year old up top may be the only one left on the pitch who actually gives a sh1t . Replacing him with a bloke still living off one good night in Moscow 4 years ago is a terrible idea.

Foxes Trust Calls for Ticket Price Freeze
iancognito replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
This. 2013/14 they were doing kids for a quid for the low grade matches. That's been abandoned since they started milking fans for every penny. They're even reluctant to go general sale these days and even then you need a booking history. No kid would go near this club right now, they need to start realising what an utter mess they're creating and the toxic atmosphere around any statement or update they give out. They're alienating fans week by week and pricing out future generations. And talking to them about honesty flags and Pukka Pies doesn't cut it. -
See Luton for details

Soul destroying. Turning off at HT. There's just no point. May as well play the academy lads and get some experience in them than persist with this cesspit of a team.
-
I feel like I'd already read that without opening the link. Wholly predictable and depressing at the same time. With every sentence I felt more and more disconnected from the club and by the end was about ready to give up the STH and just listen on the radio. The Trust and the FAB in general are a complete waste of time. The soul of the club is dying and you're there discussing honesty flags and where the Pies are from. FML.

Ben Dawson and Danny Alcock - Left the club

Bizarre timing. Has it taken him 3 months to notice they're crap? -

Relegation and the title sewn up by mid Feb. Even Sky will struggle to make the run-in interesting. 3 months of dead rubbers and "the race for 5th"

Leicester Vs Ipswich- 18th May - Jamie Vardy final game?
iancognito replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
There's not a single manager would turn down a 15-20 goal striker in that league. It's the wages that would be the issue. BTW for anyone celebrating Ward going, isn't he here till 2026? -
No-one decent will come here after the last two seasons. They'd have been here already if they were interested. They all.know the situation with finances and broken promises and everyone knows we're getting torn a new one by the EFL. Even Steve Bruce would say no to this shambles.
-
They proved it down here a few weeks ago. Even without Ward's help they were better in every department. That's what happens when you bring in an experienced head with struggling players.
-
Basically. He does okay going forward supporting the wide player. But he wouldn't get in any other side in this league because he has no defensive brain whatsoever. Doesn't sense danger, doesn't know whether the player he's up against is left or right footed, doesn't look what's around him and doesn't know where he's supposed to be in defensive situations.
-
There won't be one. Currently looking for odds from Ladbrokes that Top goes full on Lord Sugar and asks Rudkin which two members he wants back in the boardroom with him and fires them the day after the season ends. Seriously, I don't think there'll be one. They're arrogant enough to think they're doing a good job.
-
You cannot keep starting the same players week in week out and watching them fail to do what you (supposedly) asked them to do. As frustrating as Mavididi is, he's a bigger threat than Ayew. However much you've fallen out with Facundo, he's a class above BDR. Better to go down trying to score than keep setting us up to not concede and still conceding. All that said, no idea who comes in for 14 games and does better against the next 6 or 7 teams. They're still working with gutless, delusional workshy importers.
-
He'd be far better as a wing back, going forward he's fine but his defending is shocking. He's never within 5 yards of the wide man, doesn't anticipate the cut inside and positionally he's all over the place. So many balls just float over him to the winger. Wasn't good enough 2 seasons ago, hasn't got any better, gash for Denmark too.
